Building an airplane with massive steel frame is essential. I would recommend to build the cockpit from bricks and have a nice sofa as passenger seats. Keep on keeping on, sisters!
weren't a lot of earlier non-combat aircraft steel framed? The piper grasshopper was definitely canvas on steel. With modern engines you can absolutely get a steel framed aircraft airborn.
@Survivalnerd They've definitely got good enough engines. If someone could make it work with 40s era tech then they can definitely make it work with relatively modern engines even if they aren't top of the line.
@@daakrolb They also don't skimp on construction materials by using new lightweight purpose formulated alloys. That shit's for posers. Strap a 20 HP 1 cyl then use a belt adapter to turn a tiny prop. That's how you get 2 ton's of surface welded old farm steel in the air.
I'm dying laughing. The one guys in the plane and admits he's never been in a cockpit before. But like some other comments say I give them credit for creativity and huge balls. Best of luck to them.
African here, the issue is pretty simple most of the time: language. Most African languages are not academic languages. You can discuss food and give directions and debate and stuff but you can not build an airplane. Words like "airfoil hydraulic redundancy systems" simply have no translation in languages like Sotho or Xhosa. The only reason South Africa got so far is thanks to Afrikaans, an academic language derived from Dutch
@Albert-wk8ts 2 reasons they don't do that: - they despise white people and don't want to learn filthy white tongue (yes racism goes both ways HEAVILY) - there's nowhere to learn other languages/ engineering since in most African countries schools are rare, high schools more so and universities are basically unheard of outside of the far north and far south tips of the continent. So people either don't want to or cannot, it's incredibly sad really

Nah,the real reason is that majority of these guys are hillbillies who haven't passed Year 10.
Um there are no words for those in other languages too but they are doing well
Makes sense
Can't they just either:
- do it like Iceland and Norway that make their own new words when needed
- just use the english words
?
@Albert-wk8ts 2 reasons they don't do that:
- they despise white people and don't want to learn filthy white tongue (yes racism goes both ways HEAVILY)
- there's nowhere to learn other languages/ engineering since in most African countries schools are rare, high schools more so and universities are basically unheard of outside of the far north and far south tips of the continent.
So people either don't want to or cannot, it's incredibly sad really
