The Desperadoes didn't make it to the Finals this year...
Also, longtime arranger for the band Robert Greenridge wasn't able to arrange this year due to a busy schedule. But you can see him playing out on the frontlines along with the rest of the tenors (he's the older gentleman in the tan hat)

I have played this beautiful instrument for over twenty years,and i have been listening to steel band music for over thirty plus yrs,well im from grenada and witco Desperadoes have always been my favourite band,i usually call them the first magicians of that instrument,these guys and ladies are just amazing.god bless youall guys,i love youall.
I'm a BP Renegades fan but fair is fair but listening to this piece by Witco Desperadoes it really hits the spot Sounding real good. But I have no clue of what the Judges are looking for.. Keep on Jammin Witco Desperadoes you guys are well appreciated by the people.. Thank You
Desperadoes they can't stop you ... Champion Band ... music all the way no gimmicks ... will be back stronger and sweeter ... Andre White you were Good .
Gods will i hope to be in tnt next year for the finals and win or lose i will remain a despers fan for life,this band make me know what sweet steel band music really is,and for those fans who are angry now because we didnt make it this year,dont give up ,we will rise again.
more interesting music by far than some that placed higher...well done mr. white..... keep the music flowing from the hills.
This tune is a tribute to Len Boogsie Sharpe......the arrangement is a fitting tribute to Boogsie,as Andre captured the style of Boogsie and also Bradley well...the band DESERVED TO BE IN THE FINALS

this was 1 of my favourite this is wat a rel panorama tune is suppose 2 sound like not all that fast playin an runs .........sweet hope he arranges for em next year im sure clive is smilin in his grave :)
It was a job well done by Andre White. As a matter of fact when I first heard the song, I told the composer that it was suited for Despers. What Despers should have done was just put on the banner "Assisted by Robert Greenidge" and they would have gotten in. That's how backwards the judging in Trinidad is. They want him to pay his dues but he don't have to pay dues. He arranged an outstanding piece after studying the past Despers arrangers and making Despers sound like Despers.

and in addition to that previous comment his name is ANDRE WHITE **** de only blight in the lovely grand extravaganza you portray Trinidad's panorama to be is THE JUDGES! .... recognize the name, remember it, make it stick !...i rest my case!
They were robbed of not being in the finals! I do hope they do stick with Andre and he continues under the tutelage of Robbie! Great arrangement. You know it is highway robbery when even the commentator picks out the subtle details about what was so great about this arrangement....of course a young man of Trini heritage from NY could never make the finals on his first arrangement...shame on you judges....POLITICS! Come back for them next year Despers this arrangement was crazy!!

Maybe the commentators should have judged. At least they understood how innovative, interesting and well played this tune actually was! As for Robbie Greenidge's very public support of Andre ... words fail me. The man is beyond great.

De reason for Sforzata failing is the MANAGEMENT and I expected back fromr a renegades player allyuh suppose to be supporting Andre as a young arranger
@angelpanman I cannot say that I am a diehard fan of any band except for Renegades & Fonclaire. I calling it as I hear it.
Next year we would see the real beast in Andre !!!!!!!!!
I agree with the above statement, as a former president of Sforzata I totally agree the band is sadly lacking in managerial skills, a proper organizational structure is needed with clearly defined roles and responsibility. members seems to be disconnected with management.Action is needed immediately together with drastic changes as it pertain to the running of the band, Andre had a difficult job this year with no support.hope it does not reoccur in 2013.
well i really wish him the best... for desperadoes sake. hopefully they will have a bounce back year like Renegades and Exodus... Despers looked much smaller on the video so i know it wasnt the full force. He needs the whole band on board to do well.... All the best white!
I'm a Despers fan years and in my opinion the judges robbed despers in 2004 and from 2007 to present. In these years they should have placed higher in those finals. The music is always beautiful, clean and sweet. In recent times like you have to play a lot of runs and have a lot of antics to win a panorama, it's not about the music any more. This year I saw that also and Despers paid the price. Despers keep up the good work.

They are a Medium band NOT A LARGE! how is that FAILING Popwell? oh & his "Satgeside". please, the majority of Sforzata comes from St. Lucia and Grenada. They dont even have enough numbers for the small & he want them go large... and what that have to do with Andre? he signed up to arrange for a medium band which just happened to be a winning one.if he so good how come he aint do better with them? stats is stats... he keep bussing bands! good ones too! thats all i saying.
there was a break down with management and pop. but the players follow him and the management decided to cut their loses, also they thought that hey pop acting up and this young man looking good so..why not.. but to say ander isnt good is wrong. pop still fighting hard in NY. yeah trinidad is the home of pan yeah what ever but NY called pop for a job many others, sharpe,jit, who has much much more experience. many bands have switch arrangers and havent been successful at start. no arranger ever get those bands just like that but some how he did it by not being "good"

Ii played with invaders...! && honestly they robbed despers....! They sounded really good....! Wow hmmmm ! They really robbed you guys....:( but stick wid this arranger ! He is really good but better luck next year :)

so the management of sforzata could only work with Popwell? Bullshit! unless you tell me management left with popwell then i could see that being a problem as they were defending champions on Andre's debut.
but i will take your advice and support him... i just think he sour right now... he go catch a length if Despers stick with him... I really think they should have gotten in ahead of Deltones, he was the better of the two in the Bradley fan club!
i find your comments quiet ignorant ! it is people like you who will further prolong us from moving forward musically and showcasing what our national instrument is truly capable of producing ! THE MUSIC ALWAYS SPEAKS FOR ITSELF and you can voice your opinion on how much of a flop Andre is but what is that insinuating? that The judges' final say is THE FINAL SAY as far as Andres capabilities as an arranger?? There is no hype my friend just people who have observed his work and respect it !

Well Andre is actually a young man of Jamacian heritage but your POLITICS line is still weak. This aint his first arrangement in front of "Shameful" Trini judges.
He wrecked a champion "NASCAR" machine "CLICO Sforzata" twice by not making the semis after a last place in 2010... and then "Desperadoes" throw him the keys for their "Formular 1" Ferrari?
Desperadoes got caught up in the hype of New York's and England's "Donkey Derby". This is PANORAMA and Andre Blight flopping since 2010!
