No question. The only other band this year I felt was a threat was Exodus. Exodus had a great arrangement and I was not surprised they held the 2nd place in the final standings.

And they definitely were, the players know the legacy of Renegades, the expectations of playing for this band, it's the Panorama Finals after all and they get drilled pretty good in practice. Plus Duvone has transformed into a champion Panorama arranger.
This band definitely deserves it after listening all the bands. Very interesting and catchy arrangements which fits in all the right places ,the arranger didn't over crowd or over do it which made it very clear and exciting to listen to. Well done ,Duvone. You were in a class by yourself last night. 🏆

Stalin wrote this song for his wife and she had the honour and privilege to honour him dancing with the winning band. Oh I can just see him smiling with pride. Well done Renegades
I get goosebump listening to steelpan and especially watching the players perform. Nobody and I mean nobody does steelpan like Trinidad and Tobago, so isn't it time that Trinidad promote steelpan with gusto around the world. Anytime steelpan is heard, seen, or even mentioned, the name Trinidad and Tobago should immediately come to mind. The powers that be seem to have totally forgotten that not too long ago a bold-faced man tried to patent away our pan. We are a tiny island with this mighty instrument that everyone is claiming as their own, but the country of its birth gets no or just a passing mention. You come into the main people-port of entry in Trinidad and there is not a trace of anything steelpan. The people who are running the airport should be ashamed of themselves. This instrument should be celebrated, revered and reclaimed by Trinidad because it is utterly ours. Steelpan should be visible year-round at the airport, but especially at carnival time. Welcome us home with our greatest invention.

The interviewer is Vanessa Headley, she's a pioneering female pannist in Trinidad. Extremely talented pan woman, she has a vast repertoire and very knowledgeable in music. I believe she has a show that she hosts on WACK radio in Trinidad & Tobago. She's very respected woman in the pan world. I enjoy watching and listening to her

I’ve been playing the steel pan over here in the UK for my whole life and it’s my dream to one day be able to witness a performance such as this. I think they definitely have the recipe for winning. The right tempo, you can hear the tune being played throughout the performance, the key changes are always just in the right place and not too much and always memorable.

Too many classics got passed over at the time. A lot of music today is composed solely for the road which lack musical substance and don't always make for good panorama arrangements.
Anything can be arranged on Steel Pan so why these big bands have to go to past calypso/Soca to get a panorama rendition. . That means they have an entire year to perfect their arrangement unfair to the band whot did a current tune..that they did under 6 weeks...
Congratulations Renegades.The sound is excellent. The photographer need to capture the mood and instrumenta by zooming in to the individual players and the face of the pan.
