I love the DS35, that circular display is superior to any other digital night/day scope out there. And I've owned quite the few over the past few year. Love the Pard!
As cloudy as it was you should have adjusted the shutter in the menu or opened the lens cap all the way on the pard! It would have gave a much better image.
I have bought both and think the pard sneaks ahead day and night but in the twighlight the hik is amazing, you can see anything with the eyes but the hik gives full colour, both are fantastic units
I agree as I have them both and the wight different is a big difference and the pard does more for your money . And the alpex focus is hard to turn with no throw lever . But the quality of the alpex feels better
The alpex will need a separate illuminator to work at night. Now that’s an after thought. The illuminator on the Pard is absolutely brilliant and in reality both the LRF and illuminator are the size and weight of just the illuminator on the alpex.
Yep it's on a quick release so can be removed for day use I call that choice for the shooter not after thought. Mounting the IR- LRF to the top of the front optic is just asking for trouble in the field it either going to get snaged on stuff at best or broken off at worst..

you have the pard cap with smaller aperture. That makes a difference on image
The pard does look a nice unit, but looking at this video to me the Alpex looks abit clearer.
You may have overlooked the wide field of view which the Hik gives. That's important for close in work like ratting etc

What is the one piece mount on the hikmicro called?
Pard sure looks much better with its features and weight for same money as Alpex..
great video thanck you for doing it
Thank you James
Compared to the pulsar c50? Is it better?
"Which one do you think is the best?"
Love my alpex, the pard looks like something knocked up in someones garage.
Beauty is on the eye of the beholder and it my own opinion but that Pard is an ugly looking scope. Looks like the LRF was a total after thought..
