Toyota 3.0-liter V6 - 1MZ-FE VVT-i - Complete Tear-Down - Part 1 - How to Put The Engine On a Stand

The first part of any tear-down is getting the engine mounted on an engine stand. For this Toyota 3.0-liter V6 1MZ-FE with VVT-i, this video shows you how to do that quickly and easily. This engine was found in Toyota Camry, Solara, Highlander, Avalon, Sienna and Lexus RX300 and RS300 between 1999 to 2003.

The 1MZ was equipped in the Camry and ES 300 since 94, and Avalon since 95. So quite a few more years to find one in.

Thank you! This is an old broken engine that I swapped out of a Highlander for someone. I'm going to tear it down to dispose of it. It seems that people find tear-down videos interesting so I'm putting it up for people to see.
