Love to see someone actually doing good looking builds. Looks great. I see the potential in the building, the just need to fix some of the restrictions and add some more half blocks. Also need to enable flight mode in friends bases.
If it's open on your server, go to the far north to the ice lake. Probably the flattest build location on the map, and the environment is pretty unique compared to the rest of the map.

I noticed the rain as well. Its when there is no ceiling above and you have two walls high. I am sure it will be fixed. Have you seen the patch notes yet, they have updated a lot.
