Am I the only one that would love to have a dinner party with him in person? Just sit back, relax and talk. 😂 Nothing romantic intended or stalkery etc. Just enjoy the videos so much and the humour... 🤣
The star pattern in the water was beautiful!!!! I cant wait to see what else you share in 2025. BTW, I'm now on Reddit as well and joined the Soap Making community!
So far, so nothing 😔 The only other fragrance I’ve experienced a weird scent morph with is grape soda, with two different brands; they smell good at first, but they end up having a weird overcooked gelatin smell to them!
Wowahhhhhh lovely creations snow bath bomb and soap is my favourite i really Loved how it turned out in the bathtub the colours are visually appealing and stunning and the swirls from the soap and pastel colours looks so lovely and other two looks great wow lovely gift ideas i would love to make gifts by myself lovely and excited to see more videos so far one of the unique channel in this soapmaking field I too educate through UA-cam in separate page but loved your style and creations. Happy New year wishes ✨🥳😅
That’s so sweet, thank you! You should definitely give it a try! Especially the bath bombs, since they’re pretty cheap to make. What do you do for your education channel?
@@SoapUniverse I share formulation about soaps and skincare formulation but I can't share here because the youtube comment will get deleted. But your videos are inspiring and I'm loving it 😍
You absolutely deserve more views and subscribers, I love your presentation and the editing of your attempts! Thrifting customized gifts and making specialized homemade gifts is something I’ve always enjoyed and doing soap sets is such a smart idea. Amazing job! :)
Thank you! I love trying to dupe popular products and seeing what makes them tick. I especially love reverse engineering the popular ones to see if I can get an exact formula! What kind of homemade gifts do you tend to make?
@ Miniatures, art, sculptures, things of that nature, sometimes I’ll step out of my box and try making earrings or trinket dishes. But I love functional gifts so my gifting has become less and less frequent as I make bigger projects and deal with burnout. Your video is quite the inspiration though, so thank you very much for posting your ideas and remaking attempts lol!
@@uselesswriting3092 That's amazing, you must be very creative. I love to paint when I'm invested in it but lately I haven't been able to work up the nerve to get at it!
They really are! I remember as a kid I bought a friend a gift box with 2 bath bombs for £5. Then when I worked there, the cheapest gift set was around £15 for 2 bath bombs, and my manager told me the bath bombs only cost us about 50 pence (£0.50) if we used one up for a demo. A few customers asked me for 'something cheap and cheerful' to buy as a present and I had to figure out how to politely tell them they were in the wrong shop 😅 (jk, I would point them to more economical/reusable products like bubble bars, fun bars, shampoo bars etc.)
Lol! It’s interesting how cheap bath bombs are to make. Super affordable, so I don’t feel bad at criticizing Lush for how much they mark them up. Especially in our current economy, where standard bar soap is becoming a luxury.
These look amazing. I was actually going to do this for Christmas this year, seeing the video has made me more determined than ever to give it a go 😊 This was a brilliant video, I can't wait to see what you do next 😊 Happy New Year
Even if there was a small gap in savings, you made it yourself - which gives it value the Lush bars don't have. Like yeah Lush is consistent, and quality and blah blah But the fact that you gave up a good portion of your time to make something for people - and then to make 4 DIFFERENT things for them - that gives value to the gifts. And they all turned out lovely ... even if the soap got a lil funky lol
That’s true! There is something special about handmade gifts. Some of my friends don’t use my soap and just display them as decor, so I’m sure they’ll be happy with the plum soap regardless 😂
Personally, if it is slightly more to craft vs buy the original, I would take the handmade hands down! It contains something money cannot buy. Your time. Your thoughts. To me a gift has more meaning if you put time and thought into it... I love a handpicked wildflower (or pretty weed in some cases 😂) much more than a whole bouquet bought!
@@lizandanel1461 Here here! Hell I'd rather a layered soap that accidentally got a little swirled [or didn't layer properly at all] that smells nice and was made by a friend over a perfectly layered/leveled/colored one from Lush - even if they ended up being roughly the same price and quality. Hecc even if the one from a loved one was lower quality [so long as it wasn't dangerous lol]
If you don’t rinse yourself, then your skin will pick up some of the sparkles, which some people actually might like. Think Edward Cullen standing in the sunlight, but with a quarter the amount of glimmer 😂 It rinses off easily with a little soap!
The chemist in me wants to look into the Sugar Plum fragrance oil and figure out why exactly it did what it did, but I also know I dont have the time to go down this rabbit hole 😭
Trust me, I’ve tried 😂 With other fragrances, I’ve downloaded the SDS sheet and tried to narrow down the problematic aroma compound by process of elimination. So many pointless hours of my life I’m never getting back 😂
@SoapUniverse honestly when I did a quick look at it, my first instinct is that the reaction between your Lye and oils might be getting too hot and it's causing one or more of the components in the fragrance oil to either evaporate completely, or more likely it's causing components yo break down into different compounds. I dont know if that helps at all!
These are all lovely! Personally, receiving a handmade gift like this would mean so much more to me, but I’m a shy plum and assume most of my loved ones (besides my partner and my mum) would rather have something shop-bought than anything I make 🫠
@@SoapUniverse Well, in a lovely twist of events, I've since been asked for the recipe for the cookies I made for Christmas this year, so... spoke too soon 😆
Personally a hand made ones would mean much more, you took the time and effort to make your friends something special. 😎👌🏻

Thank you! Yaaay I can finally see your soap! I’m going to miss December’s soap club but I’ll hopefully have one out for January! 😃
All of them are beautiful, I wonder if the smell from the soap gets better by time.

I made all my co-workers gifts. Perfume in gorgeous bottles for the ladies and beard oil for the guys. I also make a friend bath salts.
Ooh how do you make perfume?

How much i loved this video. You totally need to make more inspired gift sets. Id like to see a shower products version.

With all that glitter, how is the clean up? Does it leave the bath or your skin coated in glitter? Is it easy to rinse off?
mica is not the same as glitter, it doesnt have the same static GRIP as plastic glitter does. it washes off pretty easily with soap and water ime

Soap Universe: Don’t eat the bath bomb
Me: Ok…but what about the cookie dough (bubble bar)? If not cookie, why cookie shaped? 😌😏
