The subways are brutal in the summer time. Add in the shit and piss smells an you're 3/4 quarters to hell.

Back in the 90's the hottest station in NYC was West 4th on the A line, and don't go downstairs for the D & F trains
the funniest parts from my subway riding days would be seeing the empty cars either because the A/C is nonexistent, or some homeless has claimed the car, marking it with his funk, sending commuters fleeing for breathable air. 😂😂😂

I live in Chicago and I can attest to this. Occasionally you’ll encounter a street person and their body odor is so horrible that it makes you sick. I mean really sick to your stomach.
And now the floodgates opened. So more homeless. Just great. 👏
Especially on the 6 line the ac hardly works on those trains
What happened to the air conditioners on the platforms of the 4, 5 and 6 at Grand Central Terminal andn Union Sq? NYC needs to improve its mass transit.... so far behind other world cities like Tokyo, Paris, Seoul, Dubai, etc...
Yea NYC amazingly gets those from all over but can't even improve their infrastructure of it's major and most used transit system what a joke!

The absolute worst. Even when the temperature outside on the street is in the low 70s, it’s 100 degrees in that subway station!

The subway stations are to the point of being a public health hazard. They need to be air conditioned or closed down for the summer
96th st Broadway 2 line is literally hell on earth

Definitely the 6 train,I was on it last summer and i remember telling my granddaughter to be prepared to gather up my cremated ashes at the next stop

If we're talking outer borough, the Forest Hills station is a bad one.

34th street station is the worse
when you walk down the stairs to the N-R platform at Herald Square, it's like you're descending into an oven--partly, I think, because the celling is so low low that the heat hasn't anywhere to go.
This is what MTA should be spending money on is better circulation and putting in more air conditioning
To where them sweeps man! bums still running rampant holy shit! taking over carts and them those shady groups that be moving from cart to cart suspect as shit this city can't be saved! fuck that 2.90 fair too!
L train on 14 street and 8th Ave. I bet its like 125 degrees. 34th St. has AC on the platform.
End of the line in Manhattan.
Pro tip: just wait for the train one floor up, you DONT NEED to be with the crowd in the platform. Then when the train apporach you have more than enough time to walk down the stairs and catch the train.

I think they missed Brooklyn bridge city hall/ chambers st as #1. It’s literally hell on earth. The visuals and the heat combined are atrocious.

Many NYC subway stations are disgusting, old, decrepit, smelly, dirty, feels like an oven on a hot day. For a supposedly world class city, this infrastructure is out-dated compared to many other developed countries.
14th St Union Square used to be a lot worse before they knocked down walls and created more ventilation.
West 4th st is horrible in the summer
I passed out once as a twelve year, at the Yankee Stadium D Train stop.
Wish NY had the budget to upgrade stations to something similar to like train stations in Taiwan. Taiwan's train stations all have air condition due to the constant hot temperature.
Please understand NYC is a major 3rd world city it seemingly just can't improve only say it is! lmao!

The West 4th Station feels like you're in the earth's hottest sauna.
I use the Chambers St station. Not only is it hot & airless, it’s also incredibly dirty. Always homeless sleeping on the benches, even the floors. The platforms exceedingly narrow so we’re always worried someone is going to push us onto the tracks. The place is HELL!
The original South Ferry station was the worst.
