I've got an XR. I didn't go for 13Pro as I'm waiting for USB-C port for transfer speed (maybe for ever). What I miss the most is the mag-safe I think. Apart from that, I'm having a great iPhone experience. I may go for 14Pro, or not...

As an iPhone XR user, Battery Life can be substantially improved if you turn off 4G when you're not using it. But, from what I gathered from this video... that is not something you can live without. So, yeah, charging it once or even twice a day is something I have to do daily (even with the Smart Battery Cover) which I've had for the past year or so. Anyway, great video !

I love your video and the honest review of the phone that was released over 3 years ago. I still got an iPhone 7 and still working and just updated to 15.4. However, I am having issues with the battery and I am feeling that the phone is nearly at its days. So I am deciding to get the iPhone XR as it is the currently the option that is cheaper than the new iPhone SE. ♥
Got the XR as soon as it came out since my 6s died right on time. I still love this phone even with battery time at 81%!
The only thing that’s kinda bugging me is seeing the new cameras on the new iPhones since I love to film short cinematic movies. But besides that - nothing to be sad about :))
Exactly what I think, my XR still runs so good after 3,5 years, there's a limit of speed preformance for the brain, and picture resolution for the eye and the XR nailed it in terms of balanced product, pragmatic and functional with quality. I love the LCD screen too. But a more powerful camera is tempting me, as I used to have the great Nokia smartphones with 48mpx, and later the 20mpx cameras with big sensors. All these new 3 lenses smartphones are tempting. I'm just waiting for a new Iphone with a huge sensor and manual picture controls.
I swapped from the iPhone 7 to the xr about a month ago I’m so happy about it it’s fast snappy and runs iOS 15 super fluid for a almost 4 year old phone is hard to tell it’s a little older

Battery life is the biggest thing for me going from my 8s to the 13 is so good so much battery life and just makes everything easier and also how quick it works is amazing
I finally upgraded from my iPhone 7 to the iPhone SE 2020 this past weekend. I like the old form factor and size. Going from the A10 fusion to the A13 Bionic has proven to be an impressive jump and it only set me back about $150. That being said i still think the iPhone 7 is a good phone.
The XR still a beast I had my XR all most 4 years and it’s still a very good phone to buy… If you don’t need a iPhone with 2 or 3 cameras get the XR you want be mad you got it.
This is a great comparison. I bought an iPhone XR the day they came out in 2018. The phone was great and for almost 3 years ran flawlessly. Then, in August of 2021, it started randomly going black, heating up to the point where you could not hold it, and completely draining the battery. The 3rd time it does this, was right when pre-orders for the iPhone 13 started. I ordered a 13 and received it on release day. I concur with you, that in day to day use the 13 is not much, if any different form the XR. However, my battery life is better as the 13 will last me 2 days on a charge.

I upgraded to the 11 because it was less expensive than replacing the screen on my 8 Plus. I was offered a really good trade in for my 11 to get a newer but I got the 13mini. I don't think I will need another one for ages. I love my Mini.
The XR was my first iPhone, I got it right when it came out, I recently upgraded to the 13 pro max and although its an amazing phone I find myself missing my XR a lot :( it never gave me any issues, and it was a nice phone to look at because of the fun color.. I probably should've kept it but oh well... lol The 13 will now be my 4-5 yr phone or until it stops working. If you have an XR and you like it, just keep it tbh :) maybe get a new battery for it but just keep it... when you think about it, we don't need the latest and greatest tech, the world wants you to think that of course because they want your money. The XR is a great phone and i recommend it even now in 2022
Say I’m debating upgrading my coral iPhone XR to the 13 pro however I know I’m going to miss it if I do upgrade just because I love the unique color of my XR and for me personally all the later model phones just don’t really appeal to me like the coral one, so I totally understand where you’re coming from, if I can hold off on upgrading til 2024, if not later, I think I probably will now, considering my XR still works great and doesn’t give me any issues and my battery still has an 86% battery life, so yeah

My Xr once dropped into the toilet. Dried it with a towel and then let it dry with rice over night. Still works fine after three years, very durable. Great phone for those who don't need the multi camera array and want to stay in or get into the Apple / iOS ecosystem.
Hopefully you wiped it down with some rubbing alcohol or something right? Lol
@@JerrySchulze Fortunately it happened when I was cleaning the toilet towards the end of the procedure and not when I was using it 😂 So i cleaned the phone just with alcoholic window cleaner after drying.
I’ve had the XR since 2019. It still works great but I want to change it and give it to my boyfriend. I just bough a 12 Pro Max, will receive it in a few days ! It will be a first iphone for him. I’m glad it’s still a great phone , even with less functions :)
I’ll start this by saying im not an Apple person. Samsung has been my go to phone since smartphones came out. I still stand by it. But over the holidays a family member bought me an XR rebuilt from Apple to serve as a work phone cause everyone I work with uses iPhones so sometimes it becomes a little irritating not being able to access certain things on my note 10 I was using prior. I honestly thought this thing would be alot shittier than it is. For how old it is it’s performs rather well. Only issue I’m having is the speaker quality apposed to Samsungs is kinda lack lustre crackly and distorted sounding phone calls and not being able to max out my video volume is kinda lame but other than that it’s actually pretty quick for an old iPhone. I still stand by android though. I would never spend money on an Apple phone I feel like you get so much more with android. But bring it was a gift I’ll roll with this one for a while
The iPhone XR seems like a great phone, I'm finally upgrading from my ancient iPhone SE 1st gen only because it can't keep up with stuff I need it to anymore, I've had my SE 1st gen since it was first released and changed the battery a year ago and it still works pretty good for a phone that's 6 years old.
My brother is buying the 14 later this year and I'm buying his XR :)

Same here my 1st gen went in the draw two days ago it had 16g memory and was always out of space and was still 14.2 iOS now I can load apps again now lol only thing I found awkward was the lack of fingerprint back button and getting used to Face ID and switching between open apps and after so many years of fingerprint log in having to remember my actual log in details was not great lol
The XR is what I moved up from my 2016 SE to in 2019. This phone has aged like a fine wine through new versions of iOS

I believe your experiment has clearly demonstrated that the smartphone market has really matured over the last few years with major manufacturers such as Apple offering fewer “must have” features. My first iPhone was the 3G, then I couldn’t wait to get the retina display when that came out. I then had a 4S, and couldn’t wait to get the 5S for the larger display and touch ID. I now have an iPhone 11, and although i would love a 13 Pro with the amazing screen and fantastic cameras, to me they are just nice to have when my iPhone 11 does everything I need very well.
Thanks. Yep, I agree that the changes are really incremental. The camera, screen and battery improvements are real but you need to take that into account with price.

Well. My story is a bit different. I have a P30 Pro 8/128Gb. Few days ago my batterie died for good. I ordered the XR 64Gb with new battery. iOS is a bit confusing to me,and not being able to turn some sounds off (camera shutter and dial), but I really love this device. I miss somethings, and I honestly think my next flagship will be a Huawei device, but so far I am impressed. And believe me, this single camera setup is actually doing a better job than the p30 pro. Love your vídeo.
Dude I got my Baby Blue XR last year brand new at the Apple store and I was sure I was gonna get the white 11 till I got there… I recalled several video reviews about the 11 vs the xR and I kept hearing over and over that as far as the cam, their basically identical… once I saw the Blue xR model I knew it was the one…. The XR’s ,for the most part of basic use is identical in comparison till we reach the 12 or 13, at this point the XR is more than good enough for my needs.

The iPhone XR with 128GB storage is great for constant use! Me personally, I would only swith to an iPhone 13 or what ever phone is the latest, to make me feel more latest with the newer iPhones'. The XR dosent feel old or brand new!
Got a July 2021 built iPhone XR with 128gb, and it’s bloody good.
When my note 9 died I saw no point getting a more modern phone as there’s basically no differences aside from cameras for the last 4 years.

I’ve had this phone for nearly 4 years and it still works great! Although I did have to get the screen replaced 6 months ago when I smashed it 😅
i am an android fan at heart amongst my many phones I currently use an OPPO RENO 4 PRO 5G with octocore and 12 gigs of ram. I just bought an apple watch 5 and needed an apple phone to make full use of it. So looking at the minimum spec used iphones was a 6s. Which I feel the current £100 plus price they command was to expensive for what you get.
I ended up with a 12 month rental on a pristine condition Iphone XR with 12 month breakdown warranty for £4 a week. In 12 months I will most probably upgrade to a newer Iphone, but not the 11. Good vid, like n sub.

I just upgraded from the XR to the 13 today. The XR was a great phone, had it for a few years, but it shows it’s wear and tear at least for me. If you can upgrade do it all the way
have a blue iPhone XR 128 gb one, it still rocks , never felt the need to replace, battery is at 84 % i will use it for 2-3 years more without any issues
Before I even watch the video - I think you are going to be surprised at how dang good the XR is, except wish it had the new cameras. They are a really good phone - wife just got one not so long ago from her work. They are cheap and work perfectly fine still.
OK, forgot about the screen brightness in full daylight and battery life (we literally talked about this today). That being said, I'll give you a fair price for that phone for my dad. He has a 6 and I think would really enjoy a newer phone. Not that he would buy one... One other thing is that apps work differently on even older phones. In some cases, they even look different - In December I moved from a 7+ to a 13 pro and it was quite a new experience. I'm used to it now though.
Hi Clayton, you were right! The brightness and the battery were things I had to deal with every day but overall a pretty great experience. I will be holding onto this phone for a bit for some other things but definitely check out Swappa. There are a TON of them for sale.
I've had the XR before and I'm considering getting it back after not being satisfied with the 13 mini I had. To me, the XR was probably one of my favorite iPhones ever behind the 5s that was my first iPhone and then the awesome 6s Plus. The things people hated on the XR for were only the tech snob crew. Because for the average consumer all they want is the smooth iPhone experience for less. Even today the XR will be supported for a few more years and be a great day to day phone. The biggest suggestion would be at this point if it has a lower battery capacity to put in a new battery for $50. Because if it's your daily it will be worth it to have all day battery life.

Was not a fan of the XR. If I could tho I’d go back to the 8 plus, now that was an awesome phone. Still my favorite iPhone to date. Had an amazing camera and still had the home/touch sensor button.

Idk if it’s a good thing but apple’s jump in performance and design has kinda stayed the same since the milestone of the IPhone X design. I’ve had my XR since release and I still haven’t noticed any issues performance wise, and can’t tell the difference when other people have a 13 or whatever. Only issue right now is that the battery life is starting to lack a little

i got my xr at launch i went from a 5s to this phone and i still love it i’ve debated between buying a new battery for longer lifetime or possibly getting a newer phone in the next few years
February last year I upgraded from 6S and until now I’m still satisfied on how my XR perform even though I kinda want that Ultrawide camera and better battery life even though with my 84% battery health it’s actually still pretty good but I want better
The iPhone XR has been my main phone for a few years, and still is. It’s honestly an amazing phone! I personally, think that it’s worth it if you have a low budget and need a new phone.

The price difference between the iPhone XR and 13 Pro Max is humongous, I rather stick with my 10R until I feel that an upgrade is require. If the next iPhone surpasses it with a great leap I'll buy it, mean while I'll be sticking with my 10R like white on rice.

@@xXxXkuramaxXx Trade in is honestly better. The trade in value depends on how latest generation the phone is and is of more value, meaning you spend less every so years for the latest phone. You keep the phone for four or more years and see how much it is worth trading in

I really want to upgrade from my 6s, and I’ve thought about getting a “older” face ID model, but with the leaps in camera tech, I keep dreaming of that 13 pro. I just wish I had the 13 Pro in the 11 Pros green color.
I can tell you that the 13 Pro is one sweet phone. I have mine in graphite. I like the green of the 11 Pro as a pal has it. I also liked the Pacific blue on the 12 Pro Max I traded in for my 13 Pro. I wish they had the Midnight color for the Pro. That deep Indigo blue is beautiful!
I upgraded from a 6 plus to this XR blue….. it’s gonna be a very pleasant experience….Unless your getting a 12 pro or 13 the XR full screen delivers very well.

I have the XR since 2019 and it's literally just how I got it from its box, I don't really have a need to change it. to me it's the perfect phone. fast, good price, good camera good user experience. why would you need more 🤣 let's see if I reach the 10 year mark with it in a couple of years
My wife and I are still using our 8+‘s. Watching this video with it. Battery life is getting really bad though. Looking to upgrade in the future.
My XR still going during 02/2023 with battery. I’ve had it 4,5 years is going to have to last at least until 2025.

This phone is great for me! I usually transfer photos from this phone to my laptop anyways so storage isn’t an issue. Camera is pretty nice too.

Got it over 4 years ago. Was able the replace my battery twice and my screen too which had broke. I upgraded it to ios 13 too.
Just got my XR yesterday . yes I know I’m 3 years late but this is still one hella a phone for me plus it works real good with my iPad 12.9 3rd gen just fine . I’m more then satisfied with my 128gb used XR and my 1TB iPad

@@erondesu7530 Very good main thing with these older phones is the battery. soon as I bought my phone I took it to apple and got the old battery replaced with a brand new battery the very next day. Same thing with my girlfriend I bought her a iPhone 7 Plus , did the same thing ,..took it to Apple and replaced the old battery with a new battery same day .

thanks for touching on the battery health, didn’t even think about that and it makes me feel better about upgrading to the 13maxpro from an XR that I’ve had for over 4 years, the XR truly has been my best iPhone, I have dropped it numerous times and it has never shattered. I honestly didn’t want to buy another phone but the XR is only 64GB and I just started doing UA-cam on my phone so the memory capacity keeps me from uploading longer content, anyways my current batt life is 82% and even though I was only able to get the 128GB because everything else is sold out, I am looking forward to the increased optical zoom and just slightly larger screen, still going to keep my XR as it’s unlocked as a backup

iPhone 13 Max Pro in the 128GB version does not allow for 4K recording where as my current XR does seem to record and format it to 4K here in UA-cam upload. So I’m confused. Are you able to clarify. even though the base model 128GB doesn’t support prores does that mean that the XR outshines the new 128Gb 13pro max in recoding video at 4K ? Thanks so much. I already bought the dang 128GB because everything else was sold out for the max version and I need the bigger screen
@@cousin_JACK I think that limit is about prores video. You can shoot 4k 60 on the 13 for sure.

I'm still on my Xr. It fullfills my needs and works just fine. Battery health is 83%, the back is cracked. I always use screenprotection and I am on my 4th about to be on 5th. Though I am planningbto upgrade. To could be 14 plus or I'll wait to the 15s, one of them, but not the pro max's I found them to be heavy, was for a while on the 12 pro max and I did not liked it, so was on it for just a few months, them got back to the Xr. Besides from my workplace just got the '22 SE few months ago. Fine little thing.

I have the exact same iPhone 10r with the same color and it works so good with me, for 3 years, I compared the selfie camera once of the iPhone 10 r and 13 pro max, and I was really shocked coz I found out that my iPhone 10 r is waaaay better than the selfie of 13 pro Max so I decided to keep it.
Had my 6s since dec/2015. Still rocking ios 15 but battery far from good. Just upgraded to a iPhone XR last week, i'm enjoying the bigger battery, bigger screen and face id.

i am using an iphonexr today as well. and works absolutely perfect no issues . battery stamina has decreased no doubt about it . but i think replacing a newer batter would be much cheaper then buying a $1000 dollar phone for FOMO :)
The XR is great. It was much better at taking photos at night than the previous phones, but the 11 did the same improvement again. Thinking of upgrading to the iPhone 14 max pro… but it hasn’t been worth upgrading yet.
Did you end up upgrading? I had to upgrade from my xr to the 14 pro max because it had to many hardware issues.

I'm still using a 4 year old phone: Samsung Galaxy S9+....still working well.
But I also carry a 5 year old iPhone 8 used. I felt that is not only a very good price for it, but also a great entry level phone for those that never had an iPhone before. And fortunately, when I had to get the battery replaced, I didn't get a warning message. Not only that, the 8 still runs pretty well with iOS16.
Just got a refurbed XS. It's fine and I am an amateur photographer so I am fussy about cameras. For 260 dollars for a 256 gb model it's a no brainer.

I have the iPhone xr for over 2 years! It’s doing great (99% of the time) good camera and it’s really good for the price!
Mine got almost 2 years and it’s at 89% it’s still good ima change it when it get to 80 or 75 percent I still think ima stay with this phone for the best 2 to 4 years
I'm still using the XR and XS max. Both brilliant still.
Still rockin iphone xr and the phone still runs fine with 88% batt health.
I wanted to upgrade to iPhone 13 mini but i don't have the money.

The things that matter are as seamless in XR as in iphone 14. I got the XR in early 2019 and still today it feels as new and what was back then. The OS is seamless. Ofcourse, for photography I use dedicated cameras but other than that the phone serves well. I have even taken print photos out of the XR and they are pretty good.
Got the xr recently I like it, just needs a new battery, I have been a android user for years, I am getting use to the iPhone
I’m getting the XR in like 2 days and the fact that you’ve played cod mobile is what I was looking for 😭😭 I play everyday and wanted to make sure it could still run . My iPhone X overheats with everything I do so I’m switching over to the XR . This video is perfect thank you for posting !!

3 months ago I had my iphone 6s and now I upgrade my phon e to Xr and I am so happy and satisfy😊
I am surviving with my Iphone 6S Plus with 16GB, refusing to upgrade because my phone looks totally fine and new. But now its really getting annoying so i am looking into it
