Phantom Valley actually started in 1991, a year before Goosebumps. The author, whose actual name is Kathryn Lance, went on to write for Ghosts of Fear Street and has been confirmed to have ghostwritten one of the story tales in the Tales to give you goosebumps series. So there's that. Oh and I liked that you mentioned the Shadow Zone movies lol
That Halloween Night shiny cover is so nice! I'm jealous! And Autumncrow High sneak peak?! 😱👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Okay you and Elizabeth Sagewood have talked about Beach Party so I must read it.
Neato bunch of books! It was especially cool to see that stack of old Beverly Gray books in such lovely condition. Beautiful! I don't have many of them yet, but I DO have the extremely scarce "Beverly Gray at the World's Fair" which, to my understanding, is sort of critical to understanding subsequent events in the series.
Oh my gosh, so lucky!! I have been keeping an eye out for that one. Such a shame they took it out of the series even though it’s an important point in the story. I’m excited to find a copy one day... hopefully without spending $500. 😂
@@LibraryMacabre Yeah, that's a hard one to find at a price that doesn't break the bank. I consider myself lucky finding a great condition one below $300 a few months back. Still, my bank account had a pronounced limp afterwards. Keeping my fingers crossed for you on that one.
Freaking love scifi. Most have this issue where they plop you into a universe without really building it up first so you're left pretty confused (which is why it's not a good idea to read Warhammer 40K literature before researching the universe. It will completely confuse the heck out of you.) Gonna miss the Nightworms stuff but it's great hearing the company now strong enough to venture out on its own. Always happy to see a small company beat the odds to carve out a place for themselves and be successful.
Yeah, sci-fi usually leaves me scratching my head when I’m just plopped into the world. Haha That’s probably why I don’t read it too much. Horror is my happy place 😆 I’m so happy for Night Worms! People are on waiting lists for them now, so they are definitely doing well. :)

I've read a few Joe Donnelly books. Very good stuff. Most of his books take place in Scotland. Shrike is about a killer bird/spirit. Haven't read that one yet. Fear by Gates is definitely a keeper! It's splatterpunk. His second book Grimm Memorials is worth getting too. It's loosely based on Hansel and Gretel and the Grimm fairy tales. Very twisted stuff.
