As someone who’s actually been to the remains of Pompeii and Herculaneum, this was a really interesting video to watch. When I went there in 2022, the tour guide explained that there was still so much of Herculaneum that hadn’t yet been unearthed but the couldn’t due to the fact a whole city was built on top of the remains without anyone realising what was underneath.

Both the tv and audio stories were excellent. For me, the audio just edges it. That said, Fires of Pompeii is a highlight of NuWho.
Great video, I love the historical information you weave into your videos. Thanks.

I think the writers for fires of pompeii get a lot of influence from the audio. Theres the title obviously, they just changed one word. But theres also the question of weather it's ok to change history. In fires of pompeii its if its ok to save the people of pompeii, and in volcan its if its ok for the doctor and mel to save themselves. Both are fixed events in the doctor's eyes, and in both stories its the companion who has to convince the doctor to save someone from the doom that is to come.
These videos are nowhere near my best performing but they are so much fun to do.
Im really glad you enjoyed it, thankyou so much.

Great video. I do really like that you acknowledge how people in ancient time was a lot like us. And how you say fuck to conspiracy theories who spred false informations. I have at suggestion for another episode which would be fun to dive into the history of "Thin ice".

This was a very interesting high quality video. There are surprisingly few videos comparing episodes to actual history
