Awesome! I love how the "oh, oh's" turn into a "fuck" as the backing disappears!

Such beautiful fish! We see much darker colors on the browns in the north east... not used to seeing them steel colored like that...

Congrats man! I was just thinking about the action of the break in this situation. It seems a bit 'sticky', keeps on giving line, then sort of getting caught a bit and then giving line again. Because the backing is cutting in itself?

This is a 6 weight NRX. I can't go more powerful rods, then the tippet will break. Thicker tipper mean no takes.

I've caught trout up to two kilos and never once seen the backing in the rings, but these Icelandic bruisers are something special.

I had one on an Icelandic lake around 64 cm on a Lamson Waterworks ULA Force 2 and a 6 weight rod. Had me down to the backing soon enough! They just head for the other side and there's no obstacles to stop them. Tippet was 7lb fluro.

Wooow!!! Dude....I was feeling the anxiety in that run....how did you manage to gain line after all that? Incredible and also quite scary in the fact you could of lost all that line....were you able to gain line fairly quickly after that?.... Alsp , where were you fishing?

Why didn't you reel when the fish stopped? Browns are all the same and if they are Lake Run, River Run or Sea Run always stop and turn back...Maybe your fish did not?
