The Omen is a 1976 supernatural horror film directed by Richard Donner and written by David Seltzer. An international co-production of the United Kingdom and the United States, it stars Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, David Warner, Harvey Spencer Stephens, Billie Whitelaw, Patrick Troughton, Martin Benson, and Leo McKern. The film's plot follows Damien Thorn, a young child replaced at birth by his father, unbeknownst to his wife, after their biological child dies shortly after birth. As a series of mysterious events and violent deaths occur around the family and Damien enters childhood, they come to learn he is in fact the prophesied Antichrist.

The Omen was an awesome saga....I loved these movies....the actors were great! I loved Gregory Peck, he was really something, and Lee Remick was soooooo good! But Harvey Stephens was such a convincing Damien...great movie series!

We had an "Omen" experience in the movie theater when I went to see _The Omen II_ in the summer of 1978. Something happened in the projection booth because during the scene where somebody falls through the ice the volume suddenly went up full blast. It was so freaking loud people started screaming and running from the auditorium covering their ears with their hands.
Whatever the problem was it took about ten minutes to fix it and by that time a lot of people had left the theater. I'm glad I stayed because that was a hell of a good movie.
Great story....I bet it scared the shit out of everyone cause the music in terrifying in that scene ! from the moment the crow appears on the Bush.

To all the idiots who said this movie is cursed: most of the cast lived at least 35-40 years after this movie before dying. That's hardly a curse.
You want to hear cursed? The Misfits (1961). Now that's what a cursed film look like..
I would imagine that the kid that played Damien, was forever type casted.

Good ole movie, loved it watched it many times i was Damien age that year , 1 & 2 was the BEST .. BUT Lee Remick died real young wow didnt know

Harvey was actually arrested in 2017 for a road rage attack, and his day of arrest was Friday 13th... thats for sure the best day for a horror actor to get arrested. The irony

I was 7 this movie scared me but not as much as exorcist my sister and me slept together for a whole year and we put all pur stuffed animals around the bed we thought the devil was gonna get us..I can't belive my mom watched that with us I was 6 or 7 ...but I liked the omen it's scared me to...but not as bad as a twisting head spewing out pea soup lol
Hearing about his road rage arrest was what had me respecting him lol. Cyclists holding everything up so honks horn with gets the finger shown to him.. So he gets out and gives the idiot his prize lol. Good job omen kid😂

The wind & air caress me of winter song. The only movie series on earth that made my heart beat really fast. The only movie series that caused me to feel that there are movies being made about me. The only movie that made me feel anything was these movies. My entire 49 years of life minus 3 years being born in 73. These movies have stuck with me my entire life. I knew they were in some way about me but had no idea how to prove it until 2000(when lost souls came out) then in 2004 (when The passion of Christ came out). If they ever remake these movies i hope they do it justice. Ive worked very hard to fulfill the ideology of this movie series into reality.
There are many of these where they seem amazed people look different after 50 years

I was a 7 months old baby,when the movie the omen,came out in movie theaters in the USA,my mother was a 19 year old teenager on juno of 1976.i don't have the omen movie cause I hate the devil,and I can't have movies that worship the devil,the exorcist expell the devil and demons .
I don't see the Omen as worshipping the devil. It is not promoting the devil as someone to be worshipped, or promoting Satanism. In fact, one of the people behind this film was a Christian - Robert Munger.
Bible sales also doubled in America after this film was released. Some people were truly scared, because the Bible warns us about Satan and the Beast.
Having said that, I totally understand why you (and others too) wouldn't want to watch a film about Satan or his son.
