    A single u-joint will vibrate and destroy the bearings and or housing, you need a coupler.

    Hey man, the impeller came out looking great! but your water outlet nozzle is way too small from what I see here, I would trim it so it's half the diameter size of the impeller, and since you can always weld a new one, I would even make it just 30% smaller
    Example, Impeller: 100mm
    Nozzle: 70mm
    Can't wait to see your follow up video!

    • @DktheWelder
      @DktheWelder  3 роки тому +1

      O nice the impeller is 100mm and the nozzle is about 45mm so I will trim it down , the drill would load up when it started pumping and it is a powerful drill. Do I need to make a straight part on the end? And how long do you think?

    • @Eden_M
      @Eden_M 3 роки тому +1

      @@DktheWelder Yeah won't hurt, 3~5cm straight pipe at the outlet should be good, you can always trim and modify, you did an awesome job, lend me your welder for dew days ;-)

      @@DktheWelder yuppers lol! I been building large scale rc boats for years. I have a 66cc 2 cylinder build with a waterjet about the same size. Was like let's electric start this puppy lol super hard fail! Water coming in contact with the impeller acts as a brake almost lol. Cant clutch the shaft either as water will burn that up really fast as well. So unless you park it likes it hot on the bank pull it out of the water to start it going to be rough! Other trick! Have seen these water board people with these on some with gas. Where I got the *rc boat drive from* they use a drill start. They mount a adaptor on the flywheel. Add a cover with bearing hole. The shaft in the drill has a 1 way bearing. But again never seen that started in water either lol. Maybe it does with huge lipo drill >_

    Shit I would give my left but for a original size tint sheet of parts needed to make a high powered water jet, I want to put one on each side of a 23’ yellow Tail center console boat I hv my name on that’s abandoned in central Florida fro hurricane, waiting on state to get off their asses and start the stickering of abandoned boats, could be another 6 months but hv most of water out of it and covered with new tarps double arrows it cause I live in Texas just got back Sunday 24th from there, landowner said no one would be allowed on property cept Stare placarding team, owner has been contacted and he said keep my damn mouth shut why I called him I’m stupid, he has filed insurance and wants a new one, wished I never called him and will FedEx me all paperwork title and signed title transfer for Texas so everything is legal, I want to try fabricate and install a water jet under boat one on each side, and want boat to try and hit at least 50knots if I can get it to!! Friend of mine said speed isn’t a option it’s just how fast do I want it to go, has your do with I’m Elmer blade pitch and number of them and motor
    Man would be super cool to use electric motors know how quiet it would be compared to the 3 250hp Yamahas on it now, or diesel motors, venting either way gas or diesel either out the side or out back, researching now to see if I can vent out under the water line while idling or slow speed, but once boat planes out exhaust will be above water line. Just ordered whole roll of cut fiberglass bd 1/2 roll of 6% woven fiberglass, and 20 yards of 50” wide 1708 biaxial fiberglass fir final layer, 40 gallons poly resin, 5 gallons of fairing putty, waiting and deciding on gel coat or paint prob go with spraying gel coat for finishing layer. What a great way to get to buy new cordless tools for my collection, lol wife thinks I might need them buy what you need. I’ll shut up now 2 year project completely rewire boat, go thru the 3 motors ry are 2021 250 4 strike Yammies, with z4 blade props, it was on dry land so not thinking much wrong with it but muddy landowner aid I floated in over barbed wire fence rested in V in tree motors side angled down into mud and bow angled I tree, paint scratched a little all the electronics still working properly, tilt trim working bet they start alright up, hour meter showing 46 hours of run time practically brand new yipppeee, got a 100,000 boat for couple hundred dollars well the trailer, might cost 1,000 at auction or if I can hire someone to find abandoned trailer but those can sit in water for a year and still sell for 8,000. Still gotta find someone that has a great heart live helping folks and not chasing that almighty dollar like most are, everyone want to make a lot of money, Cant take it with you, but I’m going to co to ur taking troubled kids, or kids that has lost one or both parents overseas in war. Fishing Lake Texoma on TexasOklahoma border north Texas and haul to Texas coast if I end up buying a very little man cave in stilks.
    But gotta find someone to GIVE me a to sized print so I can glue it to sheetmetal and cut out and weld it up. Then trust my lord Jesus to hook me up with someone to help me figure out motors needed or will get job done, if electric gotta design water cooling, all will be inside a cowling I will design and glass to cover and suck water fro lake or hv a water holding tank iced down water to help cool motors and recycle it or dump overboard if oven or lake water is used, might mount a 50hp outboard motor in between the jets fir a kicker emergency motor if long ways off shore.
    Hv prayed about finding the folks needed, I do t charge the kids anything to take them out plus give them the spinning Rod combo also at eve of day after I take them out to eat with parent.'please if someone reading this long ass text if you hv parts drawing original size I’ll pay you to ship parts dia Graham to me or can email them to me. I don’t know how to email or get ahold of anyone thru utube im 61 years old, veteran, and not computer savey, nor mathematical smart enough to figure out amps Ho needed to make a 23’ boat do 40-50 on water. GOD works in mysterious ways, anyone helping me I will take them out on lake or ocean anytime they want to go when I go, whenever they want to go when I go. Don’t like going y myself won’t go out offshore by myself anyways. God bless thanks for anyone that will help me
