We all are looking for that big sound, but most of the time that requires destroying your Classic Pickup in the process. I wish i saw this last week! I couldve added so much more suface area to my speakers had i known.. im running a set of kickers in the standard size (4x10) ... good speakers, but the extra punch would be cool

What 6x9 speakers are recommended? Does enough sound get around them if you don't install kick panel speakers? She has a nostalgic attachment to the air vent pulls in the non a/c truck even though we're installing a/c. Was thinking about installing an upgrade to the dash speaker and these two behind the seat.
Plenty of sound comes around the seat. An upgraded Center Dash Speaker and these would work great! FWIW, you can still mount the vent pull handle even with the kick panel speakers.

@@patlubin9197 you would just install the kick panels and mount the vent pull on top of the panel afterwards. We have it that way on one of our project trucks.
What is the delivery time on these speaker boxes? I have heard some horor stories about the customer service and shipping department. I really would love these for my 81 c10 stepside.

It was the left overs from a huge roll. Trust us, if you buy a roll you will find uses for it over time.

All the ones we have tested worked fine. If you end up with a set that the magnets are VERY large or VERY deep, you could have trouble, but that's not common.

What color blue is that
It's the original Blue that came on GMC "Beau James" edition trucks in 1975. Not sure what it's called, but your local paint shop should be able to easily look it up.
