Bigbang and 2ne1 were the first kpop groups if YG . They were a total oposite of what was popular and changed the industry . 2ne1 one brought the girl crush concept , instead of cute they were girl power. BigBang had the first rapline, actual rappers not just a person the company train to do some rap . They were the first to write and produce their music . The group in the MAMA live is EXO . They are 3 gen but you should see them . The dance group is Royal Family with choreographer Paris Goebel. Last year she dud Super Bowl with Rihanna. I recommend you watch BigBang perform Sober at their MADE concert in Malaysia. The deep voice rapper is TOP . BigBang proved solo careers are possible without group disband. Watch TOP performance of Act like nothing is wrong and Doom Dada at 0 to 10 concert. BigBang and 2ne1 leaders GDragon and CL were deadly together . See a performance of them singing The Leaders 😊. You should also try GD and Taeyang performance of Good Boy at MAMA Awards 2014. Dorian Gray chanel has all these lives with subtitles.

Also CL is the leader of 2NE1. About the performance nobody knew 2NE1 would come out. Everyone knew CL was gonna perform but 2NE1 was on a long hiatus that time and nobody heard anything from them for a while. Everyone went crazy when each of them popped out, especially the red haired ponytail one, she is Park Bom and she was the longest on hiatus. This was a surprise stage.
btw Ring Ding Dong absolutely doesn't represent SHINee discography, the members themselves didn't like autotune, but the company used it because it was trendy back then. besides that they are an experimental group and tried many things, their sound changed a lot since around 2015 when they gained a lot more creative freedom and started developing their more cohesive and representative sound. SHINee is definitely one of the most influential kpop groups out there, they have set trends in music genres, concepts and style, they tried things first. they also started this thing of filming and sharing their dance practices. a LOT of yonger idols are their fans or even became artists because of them. according to BTS Yoongi, their performances were used as a standard even for BTS by their company. I'd say they're known the most for their very impressive live performances they're still very active as group which is very rare for a 2nd gen artist especially with the same members, and on top of that all the members have a successful solo career too
Taeyang is the name of the Artist that sang with LISA - the song "Shoong" He is also a member of BIG BANG. And YES was the guy who sang his heart out on the first BIG BANG song.- LOSER. All of the BIG BANG members are the Kings of Kpop. SO good.
SHINee has a really varied discography. Ring Ding Dong is iconic and brought them lots of popularity, but there are members, who don't particularly like it :) They have many songs you may like more. Also they are really great live.
Queen Ring Ding Dong.. 14..15 years and still a buzz.. still banned during exam season and stuff.. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ and yes,, SHINee is a five member group… and yes, Ring ading Dong got that autotune (a thing back in 2009) though they don‘t put autotune during live performances of it so we kind of prefer it more.
You definitely need to venture more into SHINee! Dream girl, Lucifer, View, Everybody, Married to the music, Dont call me, and the most recend Hard. Their discography is non skip and even the b-sides! Their Japanese discography also good. Taemin might be the most known member because of his solo and superm. But all of the members has debuted as solo artist. I hope for gen 3 you'd listen to EXO, VIXX, BAP, B1A4, and Nuest!
Any thing and everything 2PM. All 6 men are amazing talents in singing, dancing, composing, producing, and acting. Junho has won every major award in Asia for his acting these past two years. Their music is phenomenal. Plus the bond they have with each other is something very special. They truly love, respect, support, and genuinely care for each other. And it shows in how they interact with each other on stage, in shows, and interviews. They have been together for 15 years and just had concerts in Japan and Korea this past year.
SHINee is an experimental SM group that is a role model for most 3rd, 4th and even 5th GENERATION groups in terms of vocals, dance, presence and a successful career both as a group and solo. These are legends of the K-pop industry, without them everything would probably look different. SHINee's performances are on another level, you should see them live, then you will understand.
what do you mean when you say without Shinee everything would look different? Theyre great but as far as I know followed a mould set before them? Im also confused about your first line.
I don't know how long you've known kpop, but SHINee entered the scene with live vocals and choreography that was more complex back then, firstly, secondly, just look up what their achievements are since their debut with Replay basically they are the only 2nd generation group which has been in unchanged line-up under the same label for 16 years@@30goals

Bigbang and 2NE1 was one of those groups that when they announce a comeback alot of groups try to stay away from their comeback date because it will be hard to win music shows or get top 1 on airplays. But that beauty of having SNSD and 2NE1 battling it out every comeback for 5 years straight is one of kpop's most exciting timeline..just when every fandom of 2ne1 and snsd were fighting who will win the music show suddenly Sistar won. I been followed kpop from gen1 and so far,Bigbang is my standard in kpop. And bet me,they fame will never fade since they started almost everything in kpop
The best live preformace I've ever seen in kpop is from BigBang's TOP. The Act like nothing's wrong/ Doom Dada performance from the 0.To.10 tour in Japan. I would put a link that has English subtitles but UA-cam has been removing comments with links for some reason. Also if you're looking for great live performances BigBang is the best. Whether it's as a group or their solo concerts they are always amazing live and there's a lot of content. Only a couple of years after they debuted their members were putting out solo albums which was rare back then. If you made a solo album it meant that you were done with your group until Bigbang showed you can do it and make your group even bigger when you comeback. They're the role models for all the groups killing it today. They're are so many idols who look up to BigBang. Just going to name drop a few from big groups who named bigbang or one of the members as one of there biggest influences or a role model. BTS- Jimin, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jungkook Blackpink- Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie Stray kids- Changbin, Hyunjin, Felix Ateez- San, Hongjoong, Mingi, Yeosang, Yunho. Oh and the group that the bigbang member was sitting with in thr preformace was SM Entertainments Money printing machine better known as EXO.
Some fun little snippets about some of my favorite groups from second generation. F(x) did a sort of Collab with Anna Kendrick … they did a remix of Electric Shock in a promo video for the first Pitch Perfect. 2ne1 was actually mentioned at Conan’s late night show by Emma Stone back in 2015. She mentioned that she was absolutely in love with the group -they also were in a Microsoft ad with the song ‘I Am the Best’ here in the states G dragon from BIGBANG got in trouble (by his company YG) because he was hanging out with Justin Bieber times and was not doing what he was needing to do but just partying here in states
Yes, 2NE1 (as a group) was a surprise performance. G-Dragon and two of their friends managed to sneak them in. 2NE1 had basically been disbanded at this point.
I have never loved a Group like 2NE1 before. Their music so versatile. Their live performances is on another lever they give you always 100%. They rlly are the best. The only second gen group i rlly listen to.
2NE1 was a surprise to the audience. They were not schedule it slot was for CL. So as the crowd realized 2NE1 was there you can hear the reaction. This avoided legal trouble with YG Entertainment who still owns the name even after disbanding 2NE1. 2NE1 is known for their high energy and stamina.
You need to check out more 2pm. They perform a wide range of material from pop to beautiful ballads to R&B. Their vocals are stellar, and they are one of the most iconic groups in kpop. They just held their 15th anniversary concert before a sold-out stadium in Seoul. Their live performances are great and so much fun to watch.
Shinee are amazing live! Don't really know your taste yet, so I'll give a few recommendations from different styles: Excuse me miss @ SWC4 (R&B) Everybody @ Tokyo Dome (EDM) Why so serious @ SWC5 (Rock-ish) Evil @ SWC3 (dance pop?) *SWC=Shinee World Concert
2ne1 and Bigbang the best live performers!!! Watched them in their concerts several times and we didnt sit down the whole concert. Everything was wild and soooo fun!!!
Of all the gazillion SHINee songs you picked Ring Ding Dong? lol It definitely is not representative of their sound. As others have already said, SHINEE experiment a lot with different genres and styles, and their top-tier vocals let them pull it off flawlessly. Don't let some autotune prevent you from giving them another try. I recommend Lucifer, Sherlock, View, Married to the Music, Excuse Me Miss, and Picasso (live concert versions). SHINee live is where it's at!!!
I got into kpop when 4th gen was gaining its popularity, but I really enjoy exploring 2nd gen. don't know much about girl groups, I am a boy group stan. SHINee has a nickname "princes of kpop" due to their popularity and great vocals. you might have heard of Taemin - a very popular solo artist, he is also a member of SHINee (all members have successful solo careers in addition to the group activity). Both 2pm and SHINee celebrated 15 years of career in 2023. they are both still active groups, but SHINee is more active :) Big Bang in general and their leader G-Dragon in many ways influenced kpop so much that it became what we see now. here are some examples: - G-Dragon invented a fandom name - G-Dragon invested a lightstick - G-Dragon popularized colorful hair - G-Dragon was writing songs for his group and other artists, which influenced agencies to allow more creative freedom to their artists. For many years G-Dragon was the most credited idol. - Big Bang popularized presence of rap in songs. they were also the first group with professional rappers in it (opposed to teaching rap trainees who are too bad at singing) - Big Bang popularized the concept of (at least) 2 rappers in a boy group - one with high voice and the other with a low voice - Big Bang was the first group whose members had successful solo careers without disbandment, which showed the others that this is something possible - G-Dragon was the first idol (or one of the first ones) to have successful deals with fashion brands. Big Bang was inactive for several past years (several members left YG so I think we can say now that the group disbanded) and being involved in some big scandals, but their popularity is still unmatched. fun fact: last year G-Dragon was accused of taking drugs (it's a huge scandal in Korea, many idols would loose their career just from an unconfirmed rumour. It was later proven that the accusations against G-Dragon were false and it could have been a false accusation aiming to cover a political scandal in media). at some point G-Dragon came to police station and later talked to the journalists. An expensive type of BMW he arrived on and the glasses he was wearing that day were sold out very fast. 22:15 I have heard the following about this episode: at that time Big Bang and EXO were the biggest groups in kpop and there was a huge fan war between their fandoms taking place. when maknae of Big Bang sat on the lap of maknae of EXO, it helped to stop the fan war. For other groups I recommend TVXQ and their song "mirotic" which could be easily called anthem of the whole kpop. I have a feeling that the most long living groups are from SM, as members of its groups keep prolonging their contracts and releasing amazing music: EXO (debut 2012), SHINee (debut 2008), Super Junior (debut 2005), TVXQ (debut 2003, they celebrated 20-year anniversary with an amazing album in 2023). Management of SM is really bad in my opinion, but their vocalists are the best in the industry and music is really good as well.
2ne1 performance was a secret reunion, so they not practice and also was not a sound check por non of them. Only CL have sound check. Same happend in Coachella 2022. Please react to Pretty Boy and Can't nobody live from AON Tour
f(x) is one of a kind group. And please react to the member Luna of f(x) 'Free Somebody' it's her debut solo song. Extremely recommended. She is very all rounder a.k.a ACE

He released a song last year called Vibe featuring JiMin of BTS.
BIGBANG 💛
I love all 2nd gen groups but BIGBANG is different ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
2ne1 Queens❤
And 2ne1 was on Coachella..again it is a surprise comeback.. nobody knew..
Minzy is 21, CL is 24, Dara and Bom are 31. There is a lot to explore in 2NE1. Also, suggest checking out Girls Generation 4Minute and T-ARA.
CL is a goddess
I never get tired of watching her live.
No one can beat 2ne1 and BIGBANG when it comes to live performances.
They're legends
This was The BEST ERA in kpop history
the girl in 2ne1 with the sash is Park Bom she is considered the Queen of KPOP
2NEBANG just built different
Tvxq too
F(x) was the most unique group (in a good way)
Back to when YG sings LIVE and have that stage presence no one has even to this day
f(x) is the most interesting band of the second generation for me, they had very popular songs
They were interesting need to see more!
Bigbang the guy you mentioned he looked familiar is Taeyang who did a song with Lisa and jimin. Bigbang king of pop❤
More 2nd gen girl groups
Sistar - Alone
F(x) - Rum pum pum pum
Miss A - Hush
T-ara - Number 9
Kara - Pandora
The good days.
2NE1!!! Great choice for an introduction to 2NE1! They're so great live!
Super junior too
Is he sitting on Sehun's (EXO) lap🤣❤
24:20 they are dance crew performed sorry by Justin bieber if i’m not mistaken.
Bigbang live perfomances never disappoints.
It's 2nei1 last performance before disband 😭😭😭😭

Bigbang>
2nd gen kpop was the ral sh*t. These newer bands have nothing on these monster idols in talent. most are just manufactured to the same recipes THESE bands established in the 2000s.
Please don’t list bigbang as 2nd gen group. They are bigbang, not something like that.
