Another 2nd gen group that I haven't seen mentioned much in the previous videos: Beast, Fiction (2011) or Beautiful Night (2012) are prob their most famous songs in the West but may not be to your taste production wise. They are still active but under a different name (Highlight), due to their label copyrighting their original name when they left and created their own company in 2017. I'd recommend Good Luck or Ribbon (as Beast), Loved or Not The End (as Highlight) instead. TVXQ have more interesting songs as a duo imo, they commit to the style fully every time. Their hard rock songs are really hard rock, they have jazz songs from big band to acid jazz, etc etc. More recent songs like Down, Truth, or Rebel (you might not like this one as it's all over the place 50 songs in one type, but it's very representative of their style) showcase their talents as singers better.

They just released to songs in december for their 20th anniversary (Down and Rebel). To be fair, Mirotic was released in 2008 when Step and Mr Simple are 2011 and Mr Chu 2014. There are always general trends in kpop music so if you like the later better, you could maybe try Keep your head down (2011) or Catch me (2012) for TVXQ. The better choice though would be to watch their Killing Voice episode so you can have a little taste of the variety of genres they did in their 20 years career and find what you like more. Their japanese discography is even bigger than the korean one (but you probably will get blocked if you post reaction to them).
Please check out BTOB's "Wow" and "Beep Beep" and an "I'll Be Your Man" stage. Although they're at the beginning of 3rd gen. (2012 debut), many reactors say they have a solid gen 2 feel, because of their vocal strength, the retro sound of their early work and their MV storytelling. They were trained as a band, acapella group, acrobatic group and were vocal giants from the beginning.
Wow when you said the voice is edited, I was taken aback, because all of TVXQ members are known for their good vocals (I didn’t even stan them but I know they're the only kpop boygroup who all of members has quality of main vocals). And from your reaction (new kpop fan who listen to new gen POV) it really shows that new gen of kpop really doesn’t have powerhouse vocals among them like 2nd gen idols did.
