Kombi Life You guys are such an inspiration!!!! Thank you for sharing all your adventures. If you guys pass through East Texas on your way to Australia, you'll have a warm means and a place to park. Mi casa es su casa! Plus the hiking is pretty awesome here!
Ricky Lahousse Btw the Aussie road is much much shorter than the Alaska one. The Pan-American Highway is 40,000+ km long but the Aussie one is only 17,500 km which would be like a year
Hasta Australia surely must happen - you have learnt so much about making a travel video series and have created something truly amazing along the way. It would seem devastatingly sad to end it now. Hasta Alaska is (was??) a unique and beautiful project - and something that will last forever as people continue to discover it in the years to come.
This was a great finaly to an amazing series. I got shivers and teared up more times than I can count. You guys inspire me so much. I’m 19 years old and from Vancouver island, Canada and when I was 17 I bought my first van (1989 Plymouth voyager) converted it and started living in it wile still going to high school waking up in a new place every day, driving across Canada from Van isle to the east coast and back twice. It was my dream to live in a van for as long as I can remember but if it wasn’t for kombi life I don’t think I would have followed through. Since then I’m now living in eastern Australia working on prawn trawlers trying to make my way around the continent. I’m so stoked for you to come here and maybe somewhere along the way we could get together. Ben and Leah, you guys are my hero’s. keep on being amazing. Much love, Noah
Oh man, it's like the Game of Thrones finale. You really can't wait for it, but are very sad as soon it's over. But I hope the spin off of Hasta Alaska will be as exciting as the original! ;-)Ben, Leah, I really enjoyed your journey for the last two years, thank you!
That moment, when "Hasta Australia" popped up on my screen left me speechless with my mouth open for at least a minute. Unbelievable! This is going to be awesome Keep it up guys Hasta Australia, I'm ready to go
"A Kombi is more like a mechanical spirit animal..." SO TRUE! Very mixed emotions here, super sad that you have finished, super excited at the prospect of Hasta Australia. I will be following that one for sure, looks like I live near your intended finish line!! Travel safe you two and love each other earnestly.
Why am I crying?! I know that this was all months ago… and yet the tears came. Ben, Leah and Alaska...can't wait to see where you have wandered to since!
You guys have driven me to go on all kinds of adventures. After school, I am following your footsteps and I am going to travel In a van and meet new people, try new things, and enjoy life. Thank you Kombi Life!!
Absolutely AWESOME! From a California native who has lived abroad for 20 years and is midway through my adventure to you...keep movin' and groovin'. This life is made for us!!
I am torn between excitement and sadness. Your videos have brightened my day since I found your channel. I had been in a career ending vehicle accident. I want you to know how your positivity and content made my day many times when I was not in a good place. Traveling vicariously through you and seeing the cultures you experienced. Thank you very much. Hope to follow your next adventure. Y'all stay safe and take care.
How do these videos not have 6 digit views. This series embodies what a creator can do on this platform. Honestly, I’ve not been more excited about going back and binging on a series since Casey Neistat 2016. The editing, adventure, people and lessons in these videos are moving. ❤️
I was totally not almost crying.... I'm only 19 right now and haven't even got a hight school diploma yet but one day after I finally settle with the basic expectations I'll travel like you guys did....good thing Spanish is my first language hehe
:') so much love! Keep paying it forward! I lived in a house and the same group of people lived in a rental for 20yrs helping traveling kids passing on the lease and spirit to others.
This is one of the most heartwarming things I’ve seen in a while It’s so lovely to see the Kombi life drawing to a close, and a new kombi life opening.
I've been watching your channel for so long and I just can't believe it's over... seriously I admire will-power. You had so much reasons to stop wherever you were and go home because it felt like nothing was working out. But you KEPT GOING, hands down: That is amazing. It's been frickin five years. I can't wait to graduate and explore the world because people like you can open eyes. Thanks for showing us the reason to hit the road. Because in the end, it is so worth it!
This has been such an amazing and most of all honest series to watch. Its been awesome following the journey, and it certainly has fueled a lot of inspiration. Can't wait to see the next adventure!. Thanks guys!!
Ben, I had thought about getting a van myself and travel around and see my home country. When searching to find tips and advice I came across this channel. What you do on this channel is incredible. It’s inspiring and beautiful. I sat and watched every episode of hasta Alaska and it is one of the best stories I’ve ever seen. Keep up the good work. I’ll be anxiously waiting for Hasta Australia.
This has been an amazing ending to an intense successful project! You two and Alaska have such an inspiring spirit and vision! Thank you for taking us along with you! Congrats to Grant and his new time to invest in himself. Excited to see your future products Ben and Leah ✌️
I am ABSOLUTELY floored by you guys. I had a 1973 VW bus that I sold and I regret it everyday. I am so glad that I stumbled on your channel, I cant tell you what a fire y'all have put into my soul to do what you do. Thank You
Guys, I can't deal that this is the last of Hasta Alaska. I've been living vicariously through you for 3-4 years and cannot thank you enough for sharing your journey with the world. I'll be looking forward to whatever you choose to do next aka hasta Australia!!! And when you get to Australia, make sure to hit up eeveetheridgeback as we'd LOVE to meet you and Alaska and help out in whatever way we can.
Wow... I never taught I would be that emotional over a youtube serie! Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your adventure. The red line you marked over the globe is one nice project. I whish you the best! Pierre, BC, Canada.
Being a faithful dog lover myself, I can see the love in Alaska. Don't know how you could simply leave him behind. After all you two have been through, please keep him and bring him along on the next adventure.. I'll be looking fwd to seeing him..
That final shot of you guys chopping away at the weeds around all those buses felt very special with a lot of meaning. I wish I won the bus but thanks for the awesome adventure you guys gave to all of us here on youtube.
Your series has been been very inspirational... I've watched all of your videos and the common theme I've taken away is: there are good people all over and amazing places on this planet so enjoy them both as much as possible... I wish you two and Grant all the best... Hugs...
Me and my family love your show. We're considering getting an old school VW to go from San Francisco to New York, then up through Canada! I can hardly wait!! You were a major inspiration, Ben. THANK YOU.
Over the course of your adventure, Kombi Life became my favorite UA-cam channel. Thanks for all the great stories and hours spent editing video to convey them in such a compelling way! I can't wait for the next series.
Very fitting video to end the series! You gave my Wife and I the inspiration to travel around Canada for our honeymoon and what a time it was! Love the series!
I am so so happy for Grant. He really deserved this change brought by Copito and Kombi Life. But I’m also sad for you guys. Can’t wait for the next adventure.

Looking forward to the next part ( I'm playing catch up, wish i had found this when it was happening month by month)
Its August 2019 and i just came across this series and have binge watched over the last few weeks. What an amazing production, and such great quality photography, videography and a story line that just made watching utterly compelling. I cant wait for Hasta Australia...

Awesome adventure and I can't wait to watch the next chapter all the way to Australia. Looks like you found the right person/traveller/adventurer for Copito. Happy travels Grant.
Watching your videos gave me the kick I needed to stop dreaming about getting my own van and go out and do it. Thank you so much for documenting your adventure, here's to the next one!
What an amazing adventure. Sad to see it end. Feeling withdrawal as I have Bing watching Kombi life for a few weeks. I started watching Fun for Louis when he and his friends drove the expedition happiness bus from Mexico to LA. Looking forward to seeing the next big adventure. ♥️
What an emotional Finale! I know that Moment - giving away your Mechanical-Teammate - so well. Even 15 Years later I watch that Scene (filmed with my 2MPixel Camera) with a little Tear in my Eye. But most of all: It's happiness to have had that opportunity with all the ups and downs of rebuilding an old Unimog and drive it down to India :-) Thank you so much for your inspiring work! And if you happen to be in Germany in October 18 - fell more than welcomed at out 1st "Bus Bastler Basecamp" (Bus Builder Basecamp) at the black forrest, where some enthusiastic People - who have built their own Campervans on their own (just like you did) - meet up and gather around the Bonfire. :-) Have ha safe trip and all the best! I caught onto Kombi Life fairly late, having only started watching in November. But I watched all of what was out in 4 days. It was amazing to stumble upon one of your episodes on UA-cam back in 2012 and then meet you in person when you made it to Alaska. I believed in you since that moment we first saw an episode of Kombi Life. I look forward to the future and I am sure we will cross paths one day.
