The day X-Force #1 was released, my shop had an open copy of the book to flip through, and even though I didn’t like the art and “story,” I still bought all five different versions. Sadly.
Honestly, I see the heat on “X-Force Vol. 1 #1” as a win for long-time collectors. If MCU collectors really want it, and are willing to pay a premium, cool. And if it helps a long-time collector, who might have a hundred copies that they could sell to finance another book they really wanted but didn’t have the funds, cool too. Just as long as sellers are honest with potential buyers. Giancarlo is NOT officially confirmed as “G.W.” Bridge. It’s strictly a rumor put out by “scooper” MyTimeToShineHello, who doesn’t have a great track for accuracy (bad claims like “Clarke as Veranke in Secret Invasion”, “Terrax as Galactus’ Herald in the upcoming F.F. film”, “Ghost Rider getting a Halloween Special Presentation in 2023” and most recently flip-flopping about Hulk showing up in “Deadpool & Wolverine”, where they swore up and down he wasn’t even getting so much as a mention, and then the recent fan-screenings proved otherwise and suddenly MTTSH is suddenly saying “Oh yeah, Hulk’s in there”.
@@TTCampusComicsCollectibles I don't know who mytimetoshine is but I got that story from comicbookmovie.com as shown on the slide and admit it's a rumor. But Im only recommending taking shots on rumors for a book you find in a cheap box or dollar bin. This is not recommending anyone "invest" in rumors. I hear what you are saying and agree that it's dangerous when people take rumors as facts. But that's not the point of this series. Im simply pointing out books you can hunt for cheap and for fun. 🍻
Yeah, but normies got attached to Coulson and he didn't even have a comic counterpart at 1st so you never know. The real problem is that there are a million copies of that book out there
