That's nice looking. I don't think they are overpriced for what you get. Anyone can afford to buy 1 goldback, and now there is a 1/2 goldback, making it even easier to buy one. About the cost of a silver dime, but it's gold.
Yeah they're pretty fun. But I'm fairly sure they're going to start deviating from the market price with this series, I'm not sure supply will keep up with demand and if not, price will climb on the secondary market... Fun though...
Pirate ☠, did you check out the 2025 US Mint Schedule yet? There are going to be either Privy or some kind of change not yet specified yet on the 2025 ASE W Proof ( Army,Marines, & Navy) ...🤔😯😯😯👊👍🍻🍻
I can't believe that you beat Steve, I mean Fish, on posting a video on these cutting edge designs! (That $5 Pirate lady Goldback can be your new background mascot. 😆)
@PirateStacker They should be what we are getting for those of us ordering now. (First in the series designated by the serial numbers) I used defy the grid for my order.
@@PirateStacker Also just found this out on the goldbacks sub reddit.. The 1 gold back with the different design they are giving out to Florida businesses that sign up has a mintage of 8,000. 1,200 of these have been graded and sent out to distributors with each distributor limited to 200. I ordered one just a few minutes ago.. Kinda pricey at $275, but not being a Florida business owner or resident it was an opportunity at acquisition. Defy the grid has them for sale right now not sure who else?
@@PirateStacker They're not really legal tender in that, as far as I've seen, state laws which recognize goldbacks do not require anyone to accept them.
@@PirateStackerYeah, last I checked Florida wasn't up yet. Probably, up next month. Good number of businesses to start out with, though. Pretty cool. 😎
I think this is the momentum that goldbacks needed. They should continue to do new states and then branch out to a trading cards at a the half Goldback size, opening a pack of goldbacks at a good price would be fun.
Yeah.. I figured you'd be all over this one! 😅 I have the same collection. But, did you know that 'Alpine Gold' will exchange your Goldbacks for any denomination or State for FREE?? 🤔
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
@@PirateStacker It would be okay to offer as a tip if they want to learn more about it, but it would be kind of crappy to do without giving them the choice. You'd be sticking some poor sub-minimum wage worker with "money" they can't spend at most places they go. These folks don't always have the time or transportation resources to track down people who will take them.
So most i've seen round up to the above dollar, and then they trade at a marketed price online. So currently they're worth like $5.50 and most of mine I recently bought were $6 each... So a small premium, but ultimately they will go up with gold value, plus there's a collectible value with many of them now...
@@PirateStacker Yep. The original issue Goldbacks have some numismatic value. And I'll bet that the first issue Florida ones will too. Hell, I wish I got some of those Silver Dragons silver notes from a while back. People are crazy about those! 🏴☠️
If you go on the GoldBack website they'll tell you vendors in each state (that has goldbacks currently) then they also sell on most of the big bullion sites (jm bullion, apmex etc...).
The Utah $1 is my absolute favorite but I have preordered the Florida $1 note as my son will be born next month here in Florida & I figured it would be cool to give him when he’s older along with all the other shiny I’ve been stacking for him. I think the $2 & $10 note are the only others I would grab from this collection, some of the art looks almost AI generated & I can’t get past it.
Oh man I love the $5 Goldback with the pirate lady on it... All the states Goldbacks are quite beautiful really. Nice pieces that will only go up in value with time. Thanks for watching!
@ I totally agree, they’ll all go up in value for sure; I personally love how each state’s art is easily discernible from the next, genuine collections through & through. Can’t wait to see what Arizona gets someday, would consider getting a whole set as I was raised there!
I stopped buying because it is high premium for what is basically a gold foil novelty, if it is even gold. We can't test the gold so we have to take the word of the manufacturer that it is gold and have value. Does that sound familiar.
Well these work a little differently. Most places I've bought from sell around .50 cents - $1 over the actual value of the note. 1 goldback is not = $1. In the community it is spent in, it's currently trading at $5.50 us dollars to 1 gold back.
@@PirateStacker Yes it only works if the community accepts it as money. Money is the medium of exchange a community agrees on for trade.
