They are cool looking and I think they are great "collectibles" but I just don't see very many people using them as currency.... humans are strange like that. And the premium that comes with them.... just a bit too much for me. Good luck with yours, Spegtacular! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Take care, be safe and God bless!
Same concept as a coin collector giving half dollars and $2 bills as tips and change. You’re going to use cash for a tip anyhow… it’s not quite the same as dropping a gold bar on the table 😅
Logan as funny as that is, it’s a complete truth. People who want gold and silver because they believe that one day we’ll return to the need of it being our money are fighting the Goldbacks which is a gold currency. I try to wrap my head around it but I’ve just given up. Now I just show people and they can do what they want…. The whole “horse to water” thing comes to mind..
@@OzkAltBldgCo-bv8tt that would be awesome! But unfortunately they're talking about getting rid of the cent as it is the 2-cent is a good idea. Every time I get pennies in my change I just throw them in the trash. Bring back the three cent nickel too or the 20 cent
Gresham's Law suggests that I won't be spending Goldbacks for a while, but it will be good to have a lot of them before fiat gets so bad that it's unspendable.
Well, good for you, Speg, let me know how that works out for you. however, it’s a hard no for me, there is simply no financial gain / advantage once you allow for premium etc. Yes Fiat is f$&;ed but it’s still working
I saw pictures of the Florida GB. Absolutely gorgeous. I'll be adding them to my GB stack.

Buy a $10 item with fiat, or spend $15 in fiat for $10 of buying power. The only one 'winning' are shops that accept them.
This
Spend fiat dollars to buy gold, then give the gold to a waitress? Sorry, I'm not sharp enough to understand that move.

Who BUYS goldbacks? the premium on those things is insane.
I don't see the value with these, but I'm and old geezer. Just my opinion.
Isn’t gold money the most old geezer thing there is?

GB's have some beautiful artwork on them
What's old is new...heck I'll still accept 1715 coinage as barter. 😂
Bring back the two cents and half cent piece

High premiums but zero spread. I love Goldbacks.

It's a "Hard Pass" for me on goldbacks.
I might buy one just to say I have one but the premiums on them is outrageous and uncalled for

I want all 8 of the new Florida goldbacks. Looks like a little over a grand for all 8.
Sounds about right since the 100 will be over $500
Love Goldbacks. I spend them almost everyday. Gold is freedom
Counterfeits? Ways to check for fakes.
Apparently the technology makes it extremely difficult to counterfeit both with pure toughness to duplicate and extreme cost it would take to do it.
Gday Speg hope you had a good thanksgiving 😄
Show us the artwork on them.
HOW MUCH DO THEY COST…?🤷♂️😎👍
Another gimmick. Sorry.
I know of one Bullion dealer in the great state of FLORIDA who won’t accept them, and neither will I. 🤔 😲😳😬 🤣😂🤣
You won’t accept gold?
I’m not sure any actual bullion dealer WONT accept them.. makes no sense unless they’re barely legitimate.
@Spegtacular No, it's simply business. There is no market for them so the business doesnt want to stock them.
There’s no market? Oh boy. That literally is a made-up response. Please don’t do that.
