Dennis... thanks for a remarkably clear presentation. The way to assemble to spindle was a great bonus as well. I have one question, I live in Anchorage. What lubricant, if any, would you suggest for easy operation in sub zero weather?
thank you for posting! could you post a video of a close up operation without the back plate on? I got one of these for Christmas from a second hand store and I am trying to puzzle out the combo. I would like to see if the prongs that set into the gates are all the same length or not and just overall how it operates inside while it is unlocked. I found another video on youtube about just that; but it is for a much newer model. Mine looks identical to yours. Thanks!
