I used crochet cotton cord as its very much like string and wrapped red embroidery cotton sparingly down legs and arms looks so good thank you for sharing your elf 🇬🇧

Hi yes sadly I'm uk aswell.we don't have dollar store hobby lobby and many more like our friends in America.wish we did.shoes I made from home made clay I did tiny oblong with small tooth pick dent to glue string.as it's only needed for weight ok 🇬🇧

Love these, but you must have fingers of steel to be able to handle the hot glue on parts of these!!!

He's cute but a close camera angle would have shown the tight work in the shoes etc
I made similar shoes out of air dry clay.just do tiny oblong make a dent for string with tooth pick and hey presto you have the tiny weight inside felt 🇬🇧 hope that helps people who can't find shoes like me.
