Hey Niklas. The next video being published is us using the laser to mark some test pieces and figuring out the time for the items with the settings we have so we don’t get too surprised at the market or backed up if there was a lot of interest.
Then it’s we scouted out a couple of local markets to find the best one for us.

I got lucky. I bought 200 slate 4x4 square coasters from Alibaba. Not one was broke. Packaged in 4 in a box. Each was separated by a small foam sheet. Same goes for my Cork coasters, pens, anodized dog tags, etc...All my sourcing is from China. Love the profits. I'll use Amazon in a pinch if I have to.

Finding reliable raw material/product sources is one of the hardest things to do. I've stumbled through my fair share of bad products, so I have shared what and where I got my items so that others may share in my success.
Absolutely agree. I try to source my blanks from there as well. Tried to use Amazon in the video for people who wanted to figure out if these products were for them and/or don’t have their business license and an EIN for wholesaling. Or for people in a pinch! 😊

Hi my wife makes jewelry and we sell at local markets as well as special Holiday events. Please give me advice which portable laser works best under a tent making custom engraving.....Really like you info helping videos ..Chris
What do you do for ventilation at a show?
The reason for the slate coaster blanks being just over $1.00 each is because they sell for $0.20 each (inclusive of either pads or rubber feet) when ordered in quantities of 1,000. Of course, the lead time on orders of 1,000 to 4,000 is rather 2 to 6 months (time to manufacture, plus shipping from China).
The black credit card ones did not engrave for me i have a 10w and 20 could not burn off the rubber paint on it

How did you get colour onto your slate coaster?
It's all about changes in settings. We did a related video where we did multi color on slate in a Christmas themed video (we also designed and ran a box also). It was released mid December on the channel, check it out! We discuss settings for the laser we used in that video, might help if you're looking to do similar with adjustments for your setup.

I think one of the big questions you guys missed the opportunity on here - if you're going to a craft market.. how are you powering the laser? There's obviously lots of answers - but it's definitely a good topic to cover.

Is there a class someone can take to learn about lasers ?
Absolutely! There’s lots of training courses available online, and we have probably 1000’s of hours of content here on our channel. We are also developing courses on the LMA, still a work in progress but we are working on getting them posted and developing more courses as we go.
