Hey Guys, Major MB for another video, today i take a Citroën AX from my dealership for a spin on country roads and in town, it was so fun to drive!.
This car has been modified so don't worry about the red light turning on during the video just a water sensor light!

Rare beast on the roads today
Ca me rappelle la mienne, ma première voiture, une 10 RE 4 vitesses sans assistance de frein. Ca faisait un bruit de fin du monde, dans les virages, c'était limite si j'avais pas le genou qui touchait par terre, entre le roulis et le siège mou comme de la guimauve, c'était aussi sûr qu'une mobylette mais j'ai fait 75 000 bornes avec sans quasiment un seul problème. Ca coûtait rien à faire rouler, ni en essence, ni en entretien, ni en assurance. Il n'y avait aucune puissance selon les standards d'aujourd'hui mais elle tenait tranquille son 120 et c'était hyper léger (640 kg) donc même avec 45 ch, c'était vivant. J'avais collé le compteur à 173 dans une énorme descente sur l'A75. Elle tirait un poil plus long à cause des pneus de 145 iso 135. Avec la descente, elle avait réussi à atteindre son régime de puissance en 4e et était arrivée à rester à 160 compteur sur le plat. Et au premier faux plat, retour à la réalité 😅, 140. Avec le recul, c'était du suicide 😅

This brings back so many memories. I´ve owned 2 GT´s back in the late nineties. An ´89 phase 1 (with the double carburator) and an ´91 Volcane phase 1 with injection. Great fun, fast little cars in those days. Seating position was too high for my liking though. And yes, the interior rattled like crazy hehe
My first car was an AX GT in white back in 1998. Loved driving it so much fun. The interior though was just so much plastic the seats were nice but almost every time you shut the door something would fall off inside lol.
Couldn't agree more, i remember driving mine at max speed (around 185km/h i think) on the highway, both hands tight on the steering wheel. Crazy noise and rattles, took balls to drive these fast 😂

En Argentina se vendió trajendolo importado de Francia. Era bastante común verlo por las calles, pero no sabía que aceleraba tan bien. Se lo ve sólido y con un buen andar.

Ah, that familiar whirring from the MA gearbox😄👍had numerous ax's over the years and still own a modified vts. Love em😍👍 great to see a drive in a mk1! 😎

Warning light obligatory. I remember the brake fade was next level. Felt special back then, though.
J' adore l' AX. Dommage qui restent très peu d' exemplaires actuellement, surtout de l' AX GT/ GTI et Sport. Saluts d' Espagne.
Nice car, but the AX GT with the injection engine was released in 1991. If you say it's from 1989, then it's the carburettor version and has 85 hp instead of 75 hp.
Avuta nel lontano 90. La macchina più divertente che ho avuto. 85 CV. su 700KG: Accelerazione da 0 a 100 KM/ora in meno di 9 secondi . Imprendibile nelle strade di montagna. Vorrei riaverla nel box.

C'est une phase 1 donc pas 1.4i juste 1.4 à double corps le 1.4i est venu en 1991-1992 sur les premier modèle en gti justement
