This young man has so much knowledge about the fruit. I hope he is headed in the same direction as his dad to continue the work on mango production and protection.

What an outstanding video....and you do a lot of great stuff. Thank you for the inspiration and giving Thiago such a cool opportunity to show his passion.
I'm in Indonesia and my favorite is harum manis. Green on the outside, bright orange on the inside. Firm, sweet flesh with loads of mango flavor. No hairs inside.
Many Katherine in fact in Philippines one variety of mango consider the best in the world. God bless you and also the owner of this channel we learn something.

I wish I had access to all the mango varieties in the world. I just got a Mallika at the store, which I’ve never had. It feels ripe but it’s still pretty green so I’m waiting just a little longer. By far the best mangoes I’ve had were in my mother’s home country of Cape Verde, Africa. As we walked around the hills and slopes of her island, we just plucked them from the trees and ate them on the spot, and they were just perfect. That whole trip was amazing but the mangoes were one of my favorite parts. They were just perfect. I’m not sure what variety they were. I could probably look it up.
Man such a feast!! All the people in comments section saying try this from Philippines or try this from Pakistan ...you guys do realize that he is in homestead Florida mangoes were planted a hundred or so years old. If you want to know about mango come to the Vedic land of India. This is not even dirt under a nail what mangoes taste like 1000s varieties. If you don't smell a mango in your room it's not a mango. And stores one in groceries store have zero smell zero flavored because they have been irradiated and microwaved so there is no complains from people. I still give these dudes an A plus for their effort and genuinely showing everyone.
Great vid Pete. Love seeing the Campbell grove. I'm growing an orange sherbet from seed here. Fingers crossed I picked the clone (no shipping of scions/trees to Australia).
Yup, those Julie's are nice! Not tried the others but have many Mango trees. Can't believe didn't include a Glenn. I don't know of a better tasting Mango.
Thanks for the videos Pete! This inspired my wife and I to drive up South tropical trail on Merritt Island today and taste as many varieties of mango as we could:)
they should have ordered a case of alphonso. they obviously make enough money to afford it. this is an incomplete video that doesn't have the best mango in the world
My favorite mango is a long mango variety we had in our yard in Jamaica called "titi pint or titi point" looks very similar to the diamond mango he tasted. Never tasted any other mango like it, not even close. You guys make me want to visit Florida for mango, jackfruit and all the other fruits I miss so much.
my mango tree.. i cut the fruit in quarters ,meaning make an X at the bottom well cutting the skin all the way to the stem . but then you just peel ..life changer if you didnt know .
Homestead area looking really tropical, mangoes 🥭 huh 🤔, my mouth got watered. That kind of house I am looking to buy , with some mangoes and avocado papaya tree in backyard, do you know some one selling property like that ?

Hey Pete, you gotta taste the Philippine Carabao Mango at least once in your life. Too bad they don't grow them in Florida. We have regional varieties that are usually just identified by the province they are grown in - no cool marketing names like those in Florida, except for one that I know of. Arguably the best of these local varieties are grown in the provinces of Pangasinan and Zambales. A patented variety from Zambales province is the Sweet Elena (cool name eh?😉). The Sweet Elena actually got into the Guinness World Record back in the 90s as mango with the highest brix! Come to the Philippines and do a Mango tasting vlog here - peak Mango season is between April-June, we have Mango Festivals in Zambales, Manila (Quezon City) as well as Guimaras island. Outside of the peak season Philippine Carabao Mangoes are induced to fruit every month of the year as well, but the sweetest mangoes are in-season mangoes of course, the main season being April-June, but a second season from Aug-Jan as well...and that's practically the whole year right there - Lol! I guess the induced mangoes are only available on February and March, and July...but you don't really want those. 😁 Oh and just as a teaser, here's the flavor profile of the Philippine Carabao Mango: Ideally fiberless, with a sweet fragrance, high flesh to seed ratio, thin skin, a flavor I would describe as honey-lemon or sweet-tart...becoming honey sweet as it approaches over-ripeness. I personally prefer the sweet-tart/honey-lemon stage!😋 Mabuhay from the Philippines, and thanks for your awesome videos!🙏😊🇵🇭
Hi, Pete! I just discovered your videos. And so far I'm loving them. Man, you guys were in mango heaven! I would love to try them too. Question: are all these mangoes non-GMO?

Thanks again Dr Campbell for another demo of grafting shoots onto a main mango trunk. I have only a small backyard in my house in Singapore which I have grown a fairly big Thailand mango tree (about 12 ft tall) with a thick trunk and several thick branches, among some other fruit trees.
