I just love watching your videos. I’m a complete newbie to tropical plant growing, but not to gardening. Originally from Germany and now living in Louisiana (close to New Orleans) I’m finally able to grow (sub)tropical plants on my 2ish acres. I really started this year, as I now have more time, and I’ve planted about 50 plants/trees just in one year. Love your channel, after a tough diagnosis and a abrupt halt of a career I spent decades in university for, it’s given me a new meaning in life. Nature (and gardening/cultivating and rejoicing at first leaves and fruits) is the best medicine
Awesome video! There are no mistakes Matt and Pete. Our mother will fix everything. Go permaculture and remember to give the love. Planet Claire Farmacy trees are totally hugged with plant and human LOVE. Thanks for the great videos guys.
Jealous! Awesome tour. Does the lemon zest taste lemony? That's why it's called that I presume. Heaven! I follow What's Ripening's channel as well.. Awesome people! Can't wait to be down there in FL!
Great video! So sorry we missed it! Hope to come next year. So out of PPK, LZ, and OS - which did people feel was the best? Matt does an amazing job of laying out his planting area (for perfect aerial shots :). Serious skills!
Regarding the mulch, I'm in Brevard County (east coast) and we can get the free mulch. However, many times it is heavy on the Brazilian Pepper. I am afraid to get the mulch for this reason. Should I worry?
Jennifer Rosenberger I don't worry about it. I do get palm sprouts and other seedlings coming up occasionally but they're easy to pull out if you mulch deep enough. Fresh Chinaberry mulch was my worst experience with seeds popping up, 2 years of occasional weeding but actually it made great biomass mulch.
I'm from Africa and all different mangoes was all mangoes for us,but, anyway it would be good idea to named them so we can tell them by names, the only way that we know them they are different is the names that they used to call them by our ancestors, those mangoes trees are smaller compare to the Mangoes trees in Africa, in Africa the Mangoes trees are big like really big with long tree trunk like the coconut trees trunks, And mangoes was really big like your head. But the weather wasn't always hammer, but in March and February are the most hot sticky weather the rest of the year is wonderful weather and perfect tropical fruit and vegetables. And we never grow bananas and mangoes close together our farms were either all mangoes or orange or bananas, or papaya, if we are putting together we put together the plants with short lives like bananas and papayas But,the ones with long life like mangoes and orange we don't put together.
Super cool tour. Thank you both. You guys are the only TV worth watching!
Jim Purdy - That's awesome!

Pete have you ever had the Vietnamese Variety one called "xoai tuong" it's a green mango but sweet and very crunchy.
Not sure I’ve had that one. I do enjoy some of the green varieties.

Where is this farm, want to tour this
Where is it? I want to try too!
Honey bell is my favorite !!! Not that I have tried that many :/
How is the Manzanillo mango?
crazy bro, that's how commercial farming needs to be done
wallamangaveer this is the future my friend.

It's more better if you put a whole mango next to the cut up mangoes so people know what they look like and se the difference

Beware of planting bamboo. 30 years later, you have one hell of a mess. Concrete is no match for it.
We only plant “clumping” varieties. They don’t run..
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL Oh, I did not know there was a variety that didn't run. Cool! Also...great channel Pete!

"Edible?" that is a very pretentious question..of course mangoes are edible
Create Wealth that was definitely sarcasm. Lol mangoes are amazing!
