Found out thru reddit that if you have empty coconuts when you put them in a pile, it refills them. The pile turns empty coconuts into full coconut drinks. Cheers!
Honestly the log one from ny perspective looked like it could only work on one shark at a time. it also didnt seem 100% against 1 but the bites mostly seemed more frequent when both were in view
@@adrianshappymoments9343 Try playing again with brand new game,I not sure how multi player work not tried ,my game was just single player fun, I hope you and your family all well and healthy in these times.
Here's a tip I know works, equip the label maker and go up to crabs, giant crabs, hogs and whatever else you want and you can name them. My fiancé named the two giant crabs Stuart and Waffle, the small pig Wallace, the Hog Paula Steelflex and one of the small crabs Norman 2. Just don't ask what happened to the first Norman.
I've named crabs before. One island had a little pit and there were like 5 of them stuck in there. I finally took a giant crab shell and named it some crazy god name and set it up like some kind of cult. 😄
The log does seem to make a big difference though, even if he did bit you. I notice that the shark is onto me after only 5-10 seconds in the water. That might be realistic if I was bleeding, or thrashing around violently...
Even though a building is not built, the materials would still give a shadow.. imagine having every fence board leaning against the rail, but not nailed on... it's still a functional barrier.
Snakes are a pain. Killing is great but they do respawn when you return. 1 crafted spear at the snake. The spear goes where the snake goes. Tells you way in advance where the snake is. Bonus is the spear is still in the snake when you return to that island
Someone wrote in the comment of some YT video that sharks in SD do not bite you if you are still in the movement. And this works for me. I lost my yellow raft early in the game during storm. I had no choice but just to swim to neighbor islands to gather some resources to build new raft. The sharks never bit me. They do not attack at first sight but do a few cycles before attack. They will get you if you stay in one place or try to chase them like the autor of the video.
I went back and watched the video and yes I hung around in the second swim. However when I first entered the water I was bit by by a shark and I had just entered the water.
In my own experience, there are certain triggers which drive sharks to attack you immediately no matter what the other circumstanes are.. the one I'm sure of is the "surfacing for air" action.. the moment you do this (especially when close to a shipwreck), the shark in the proximity will charge straight at you.. and if there is no shark on sight, the game will spawn one just behind your ass and again that shark will attack you immediately..
Me and my friend get infinite drinkable coconuts by placing them in a drinkable coconut pile, drinking 2 then placing the empty coconuts back in the pile they magically refill leading to infinite water supply
I found this out by accident the same day we got the update where they gave us the ability to make stacks. I was just stacking everything I could to keep things tidy and found that empty drinkable coconuts make drinkable coconut pile instead of empty drinkable coconut pile. Its really helpful in the early game, but also it feels like cheating.
If you put farming plots in the shallows, you don't have to water them. They eventually do die, but it takes many many in game days. I wish the shark log trick worked. I was so excited!

@@GranddaddyGamer cool thanks, what's the button you use if not in a party, as I play with random players, I wear headphones but I don't think they hear me. So I thought maybe there was an option to chat normally, like how you chat in gta online etc.

Hello Sir, long time but I had issues. I have returned with a new name & back to Stranded Deep on Xbox One s, a fantastic machine. Granddaddy, I have noticed many changes to the game. No more cooking inside buildings above the sand by 1 level despite the sand below not obstructed. No more building beyond the coral line in water. Basically, everything is now built on sand, so, what is the point of creating huts or houses now? Either the Devs have completely messed up or there's a huge glitch that needs sorting. I'll be honest, I do not see the point in trying to survive for much time. It is about how fast I can get off the island. I did not purchase the game to do a quick runner, I wanted a survival experience for as long as I could. As you play this game alot, do you have a genuine answer please?
I like to make it interesting personally. Hard mode coupled with permadeath changes things. Lately I’ve been doing custom islands that are designed to be difficult. So low resources and high threats starting from spawn. I actually find that the vanilla islands are just to easy and over run with resources. So the challenge of islands designed to kill a permadeath run makes it much more interesting. Honestly Stranded Deep is not the base building survival game experience, it’s more of a chill survival game.
My husband killed a shark and it wouldn't fit on the boat so he dragged it back to the island ( very far distance away) and had no run in with any shark. But once he tried swimming back to the boat sharkless he kept running into sharks. Is this a hack or a fluke?
Hmmm 🤔 that’s interesting. I’ve tested this many many times and I have definitely been attacked but I play hard mode. I honestly wonder with the difficulty settings have something to do with predators attacking.
Don't sharks prefer attacking when you're not looking? Thought that you could make yourself immune to most by having your back to a wall underwater and just looking out.
