      Kareem reminds us of what the nfl is supposed to look like and be about, and since I’m not a broncos fan his behavior doesn’t effect me in anyway 😂. So go Kareem

      @@rorytribbet6424 no. The nfl should not be about cheap shots. This is an ancient idiotic take. Yes “go Kareem!”-Use your helmet as a weapon that could paralyze yourself or someone else. Ridiculous take. You can hit someone hard without putting your helmet through the opponent’s helmet.

    1:29 You're not allowed to "launch" yourself at the player. Launching is basically when you jump at the other player to hit them. It's dangerous because it creates so much more force at impact.

    The only problem I have with helmet to helmet hits is the receiver instinctively lowers his head to brace for impact.
    Whats a defender supposed to do when the receiver was the one who initiated the contact?

    • @chrisvibz4753
      @chrisvibz4753 6 місяців тому

      true but if youplayed football you know its hard to counter that when playing on defense but what i always did was just always (if most plausible) aim for the hips or thighs just so i didnt get thrown out accidentally doing full on helmet to helmet

      It’s a shame because if you hit them low it can be devastating too, and even some of the players think that’s dirty. Not much you can do nowadays as a defender.

    Main thing it contact to the head. Whether it’s the defense tackling a guy with head to head contact or even the shoulder to the head. A lot of the time you would hear them say leading with the crown of the helmet. That’s when you get a targeting call which is always reviewed and if confirmed automatic ejection

    Yeah the NFL and college football has a dilemma on their hands nowadays. The athletes that play this sport are so strong and fast that these types of head injuries are basically unavoidable. They have to find a way to make the game safer while also maintaining what the sport has been over the past 100 years. Personally, I don't think that they can do much more than they have already done, the head/brain injuries are just a part of the game that these absolute warriors sign up for while making life changing money for themselves and their families.

    • @areguapiri
