On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. As individuals they kick ass, but you put them together, they get their ass kicked 😂
Some combinations are less than the sum of their parts.
They activate each others inner loltards and it's absolutly beautiful.
They can do some really good work together, and usually the video carries the same energy throughout (either serious business-mode deadliness or Two Morons buffoonery), but this one kind of goes back and forth. It starts with the results of a Two Morons sortie, transitions into business mode, and then goes back to a bit of Two Morons as they (uncharacteristically for business mode) get their asses handed to them.
It's like one is fire and the other is water 😂

Just a word. If you set up an ambush once it’s sprung and it doesn’t work go to a plan B. The hill became their asset at that point. They just waited for you to come out the other side and they had the drop on you.

That one missile was literally seeing red lol. Interesting how the S-300 (SA-10) managed to track and fire at you from about 50 kilometers (~30 miles) away, that is impressive!
DCS does not model RCS correctly, so it is actually impossible to model the F-22 correctly.

Another great collaboration between you two. Sound like a good idea though. Set up an ambush and drag the enemy into it but they seemed content for a good time to hover around their S-300/400 site. I hope you all try again. Maybe sent one F-22 wide around for a sneak backdoor attack. But that R77M is pretty tough once you get within a certain distance, even down low due to that second booster motor.

Interesting how in DCS its so easy to detect a F22 at 20+ miles but in the real world, interviews with F35 (less stealthy) conversation instructors openly talk about how, in BVR training against 4th Gen such as F16, the F16 never even sees them before they get the kill.
It is interesting, I wonder how accurate it is.
But I suspect it might be the difference in sensor suites between f16 and Russian equipment.
Either that or DCS is tripping lol
Maybe you will have to wait till real combat occurs, with some capable enemy.
But in your example you’re comparing the f16 radar to the su57? The Russians have been working on detecting stealth for 40 years or more, one must assume they have SOME progress. But I think saying it’s weird that they detect f22s at 20 miles but comparing that to anecdotal evidence about f16s…I dunno I have trouble squaring that circle.
