    I've been trying to figure out the needle threader on my machine for several months now and this is the only video I have found that actually explains how it works well and is not completely blurry. Thank you!

    This is by far the best video. No one else shows that hook that is on the threader. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

    BRILLIANT! Thank you for this - just reading this in the manual is inadequate because we NEED TO SEE it close up like this! :). Thank you so much

    Wonderful and very helpful demonstration. By showing the hook and what it is doing, it helped me instantly.

    After months of 'not threading' watched this excellent video then watched my machine with a bright light and a magnifying glass - the hook wasn't going thru the eye!! The needle was slightly bent!!! Tried a new needle and it's fine.

    Thank you so much. I just bought a Janome 7700 about 5 months ago. The needle threader apparatus popped off. I was able to pop it back on but then it didn't work. I used the info that you provided and I was able to fix it by taking out the needle and aligning it with the tiny hook. Now, it works great. Thanks again. You saved me a trip to the sewing repair service, :)

    I have had the sewing machine for so long, but I never had the instructions for it, I never knew that's what this device was, I just decided to look it up since I had learned about automatic threaders on sewing machines and I finally found the sewing machine in storage.
    I can't believe for the years I had been sowing I had no idea this was an option.

    Awesome! This is so helpful! My manual doesn't show how this works. I've almost given up sewing, because I can't see well enough to thread the needle. I can't thank you enough!

    Oh my. This video was hugely helpful! I was dealing with the perfect storm - had no idea there was a hook, the little plastic assembly that attaches to the pull-down lever has taken to falling off for some reason, I have terrible dexterity, can’t see the hole in the needle unless my most is 2” away, and the hook was also out of alignment. 😅

    Hi, very informative video!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I have questions though. I just purchased the Janome Artic Crystal machine which is in transit now. I found this exact threader but don’t know how to locate the model number for comparisons of other model numbers the threader will fit. How do I find the model number for the Artic Crystal 15 stitch machine? Also, in this video to the far left on the needle threader, what is that long thin black straw like piece that seems to be inserted through the threader????? Thank you for any questions you can answer😢

    Really helpful. Thanks for making this. Now if I could only actually thread the machine to get it to the point of self-threading. Don't know why I'm having such trouble, but I've taken to hand sewing nearly everything.

      Hi Linda - Following your manual step by step should help, or, drop by your local Janome dealer (place of purchase) for a refresher lesson. Best wishes for Happy Sewing (by hand or machine - but let's hope for more machine sewing!)

    I have tried this till I am blue in the face and it just doesn't work!! The hook doesn't come through the eye of the needle .... is there some way to readjust it align it properly? Thankyou.

    Thanks, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Now I understand, I was releasing the hook before I was releasing the thread.

    I have a Janome 6600 and although I have had it a few months I am only just getting into it as the table I was using was round and a pain with large pieces of fabric ha ha. I have been following the instructions in my book but the video is much more informative and it has confirmed to me that there is a fault with mine as it looks different I cannot seem to align the hook with the eye so impossible to use! Very frustrating!

  • @janomecanada
    @janomecanada  11 років тому

    Hello Shopgirl - You might not need a replacement part, but If you do, your Janome Shop at Home dealer can help you. The threader mechanism may just be slightly out of position and could possibly be adjusted. Talk to your dealer. (Hope that helps)
