Oh my god when Javik said that he would need a job all I could think of was him working at a call center or something and it is the stupidest and yet funniest thing I have ever imagined.

I've always taken this route, and headcanon that he later willingly allows the use of his genes to produce a genetic therapy and reverse the genetic modification on the remaining awakened collectors.

If you remember, in first mass effect, when you talked with prothean VI on Ilos, he told that after protheans blocked citadel keepers indoctrination, reapers began to indoctrinate through synthetic implants, because it is more reliable for them

There's actually one more ending. Don't let him make up with Liara, but take him to the Citadel. Then he says that he might live with the hanar, because he would be treated like a king on Kahje.
James, when you realize who he is (the scrub to the mass effect universe) is a great character. He's the almost Shepard. he tells you this in dialogue, but its emphasized in paragon lost, which you can watch for free online. Javik is still though one of the best characters in the series and his dialogue on Thessia made me go from hating him for his pessimism to loving him for his drive for victory.
Dang, now I feel bad. I didn't know he'd actually prefer living if he didn't touch that echo shard. That's why I hate the circular dialoge system in those games, I always choose the upper one cause I know it's the paragon one. But I feel like I would have let him touch it anyway, afterall, there was no way of knowing his past was that horrible.
It's almost like in Legions loyalty mission. If you get those geth on your side you get help. But if you destroy the heretics it's not too bad as those geth have no real individual identity or a soul.
I let him touch the shard because I felt it was the right thing to do, for him to confront the past and (hopefully) come to terms with it. The suicide part is bitter and depressing, but given that he's the last Prothean, I felt that once his job was done, what else could he do?

@@physical_insanity I honestly like his "sad" ending. I mean, for me at least is the most realistic outcome. Death could grant him peace, once and for all.
Just my opinion tho, not a big fan of sweet endings after a galactic war
I always imagined Liara and Javik would have an Asari daughter together, so the spirit of the prothean people would continue long after Javik passed and left no living protheans.

I got the version 3, and I laughed at it. He deserves to live like a king, I mean, after all, he IS the last living Prothean.

Literally almost all note worthy choices from me1 and me2 have an impact on how things turn out in me3.

Imagine, Liara and Javik... Pretty good couple. I would love to see them. In this dialog, it seems that Javik likes Liara, and Liara likes Javik. It`s like Tali and Garrus(not romanced).

Sucks that this dialogue wasn't av available on the release version. I'm playing the Legendary Edition currently, hopefully it feels better rounded with all the DLC...

My ending for Javik is sad. He hinted that he will kill himself once this is over.
Because James was introduced prior to ME3 through a novel (or was it a comic? not sure). So wouldn't make much sense to make him a DLC if he was already revealed in another source.
I'm really annoyed....i didn't let Javik touch the shard but still got the suicide talk. Is there some way to fix it with gibbed? It's far too late to go back and replay so much just for one conversation.

I never liked the character of Javik, but when I got to this scene, it went a long way towards redeeming him in my eyes.
He is literally the most interesting character in ME3

Hey guys so im kinda new to mass effect i didnt know much about it and mass effect 3 was my first to play, i played the demo years ago and i thought the game was cool and i was a kid at the time, i looked into more details about the game itself and when i saw javik i honestly preferred him as my favorite character, but i made a huge mistake on the final push before reaching the citadel, after the reaper blast i saw javik dead on the ground i was so upset, he was such a cool character, so i did javik a favor and destroyed the reapers since thats all he ever wanted against them, i thought there was going to be a certain checkpoint where you can change characters after you shoot down the destroyer but unfortunately no, i didnt think he would end up dead 😂 (sorry to all the javik fans)

In all of my play throughs, because I encouraged him to visit the memory shard and see his crew before he revealed their grim fates. Is this what happens if you don’t let him use the shard? But all my play throughs reveal that he will go see the graves of his crewmen and then he will join them and ends with “the last of the Protheans has spoken.”
javik and liara will fight after thessia
intervene and make javik apologize (or at least, just take that dialogue path, you'll know it when you see it)
they'll fight in the cargo hold where javik usually stays

Ahh, sometimes it feels good to be a renegade lul. I play mostly renegon (mostly renegade choices but at the end of the day paragon) and got this ending for Javik. Suck it 100% paragons, I'm kidding of course.

Why did my Javik say he would experience the memory shard once again and then fade into oblivion. He didn't want to continue after his mission of revenge was fulfilled. Edit: comment section gave the answer

In a way, the Vorcha or more "biologically" intelligent and advanced than any other species. Apparently, they can instantly evolve and adapt to any condition or adversity. Like Doomaday from Superman, Apocalypse on Xmen, and the future sentinels from Xmen Days of Future Past.

How did you get this ending?
After thessia mission Liara will fight with him, you need to use Paragon interrupt and then the Renegade dialogue option, Liara confront him a bite more but then Javik encourage's her. Obviously don't let Javik touch the Memory Shard or he will kill himself.
I don't remember if you have to use Javik in Thessia, I always go with him so I don't know if they will fight if you don't bring Javik to the temple.

HOly Sh*t My Javik told me that after the war he'd go like or make graves for his fallen prothean comrades and THEN HE WOULD JOIN THEM. MINE IS DEPRESSING AS FUDGE xD I was paragon/renegade at that time I didn't know about the prothean shard I was just skipping scenes LOL
In the Echo Shard scene, don't let him use it. Also after Thessia, I think he needs to make peace with Liara. Then you should get this version of the scene.
Javik is such a kick ass character. Why couldn't he have been a an automatic crew member and make that douchebag James the dlc?

Collectors are Protheans who have been corrupted by the Reapers. Shephard discovers that in ME2 when s/he investigates the collector ship, and Mordin explains it if you ask him about it on the Normandy afterward.
