    I’ve owned 3 Range Rovers, I’ve piked up my first l405 2017 sdv8 4.4. And been blown away again, I’ve just got back from her first road trip and she hasn’t missed a beat. Over my owner ship of l322 and know l405 I’ve had no major problems bar normally wear and tear. To myself no other car matches its capabilities and comfort in my opinion.

    You're absolutely right, Chris. Land Rover Range Rover is probably the most unreliable brand that exists. On the other hand, there's Rolls Royce...

    The last time it broke down he told the dealership to keep it saying the car wasnt fit for purpose

Btw does yours get warm inside? I find that the battery protection system switches off the FBH before cabin is nice and warm. Did fit new battery 3yrs ago....

    There is a 97% failure rate on Nissan CVT Transmissions and they are going bust in the USA where all cars sold have auto. I'm sure RR have reliability problems but so do many others which are never discussed. My mates brand new Fiesta blew up at 60,000 miles with the ecoboost engine, Ford told him to go do one because it was just out of warranty! Peugeot pure tech also a disaster, and Vauxhall Corsa gearbox failures at 30K miles.

    Chris. You are a nice guy with a good channel. But stop dreaming. I am South African, 78, and often go far out in the veld to Kruger Park and beyond. You would be hard pressed to find a Range Rover in the South African bushveld. You will find Range Rovers at all the fancy shipping malls in the country. But when South Africans head out into the veld and overland into Africa, only ONE vehicle cuts it. A Toyota Land Cruiser.
    Range Rovers are city shopping cars. For posers. I enjoy your channel

    Hi Chris, I’m a fan of Range Rovers also,….but I’m most definitely not a fan of £700 road tax. That’s daylight robbery. It really disappoints me that you end up giving the government an excessive amount of money just for the pleasure of running your car on the road.
    I can accept paying the going rate for regular services, but paying the government ( regardless of political persuasion ) sticks in my throat.
    I drive a GLC and it’s due for replacing next year, and the Range Rover is a definite possibility.
    Are you planning to do any vids on the servicing costs, or the cost of consumables like tyres, brakes, exhaust etc?.
    Another interesting video Chris…
    Cheers
    John

    • @ChrisEdworthy
      @ChrisEdworthy  13 годин тому

      Hi John, yes I am looking at doing the servicing and filming it. However one isn’t due yet, and I was only thinking last night it’s almost a bit boring. Nothing is wrong with my L322 it just keeps going with no issues. Great for me, but not for content. The road tax is painful I agree. My Rolls is £300 less. City driving which I’m just looking into is also expensive, Londons ULEZ and congestion charges are a killer. All to drive over potholes suited best to a Range Rover!! 🤔

    Had a 2011 5.0 XJ for about a year and 10k miles. Never missed a beat. Two of my neighbors currently have a 3.0 diesel and a 3.0 petrol - and they're constantly messing up. Difference? Mine came from a happy home and had regular pre-emptive maintenance. I always say, you buy the previous owner, not the car.

    • @ChrisEdworthy
      @ChrisEdworthy  3 дні тому

    I would like to see you do a long term ownership on a Toyota Land Cruiser see how long they last and you mentioned many car brands go through there 5 minutes of bad spots well Land Rover/Range Rover are going through hours of bad spots they are not as reliable as any Toyota including my 1997 Toyota Hilux rear wheel drive single cab aluminium tray ute and that said you mentioned that in Australia were l live you can take a Land Rover into the outback but if you want to get back you take a Toyota Land Cruiser and there is also easily available in Australia is the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series and not forgetting the Hilux and if you go any were in Australia you will see plenty of Land Cruisers and Hiluxes and l see more Land Cruisers than Land Rovers and Toyota is the biggest selling vehicle brand in Australia for the past 25 years which the best vehicle is a reliable vehicle and after all reliability is the most yes the most important luxury yes luxury in a vehicle which means all Toyota's are the most luxurious cars ever made the fact is you can go anywhere in Australia in any Toyota and get back after all Hilux stands for High Luxury which is true just think my 1997 Toyota Hilux is more luxurious than your unreliable Range Rover in 20 years it will be scrapped and in 20 years time my Toyota Hilux will be still going l won't but my Hilux will after all lam 69 years old and l happy to be Australian because of all the luxurious Toyota's around and there are some Toyota's that are much better than Rolls Royce
