As an Indonesian, a big city girl of Jakarta..I do really miss Manizales..the town where I studied..it's really hard to realize that it's very very far from Jakarta, it's very costly to return just for a vacation. I miss the cool weather, the foggy days, the sudden rain, the Panaderia, the snowy mountains view from my room window (I lived in Barrio de Fatima), the Cable Plaza, the Cable Bar, Chipre & my campus Universidad de Caldas..If it rains in Jakarta I always got the feel of going back to Manizales 😭😭😭 Probably the sense of a small town has captured my heart as Jakarta is a huge busy city..
I grew up in Manizales until I was ten yrs old, and recall going to the Cathedral. Its fantastic to see it again after all these years. As a Colombian citizen, I thank you and your familiy, for giving the world a true taste of what Colombia and Manizales can truly be like!
Ive been there for a wedding -In Manizalez-Honestly that Cathedral looks like they just built on an ancient building -who builds with old stone like that so many building all over North and South America are covering up a hidden past- look at Buenos Ares same thing-It already looks old - in the construction pics

I visited Columbia when I was a child. I still have the jewelry that Mom and Dad bought for us. I love the drone shots! So sorry they have to cage it in to save people from jumping.

Great video. At the end When you were thanking Catalina and Sebastian, I was very surprised Catalina didnt say anything when you said they didnt speak English very well. Catalina is a graduate from DePaul University in Chicago and speaks English fluently. She’s shy tho.
No way!!!! She told me she did not speak English. Not a big deal, cause I am relatively fluent in Spanish. Some people get embarrassed around native speakers. I know I used to when I was first speaking Spanish.

I actually have numerous friends of all different races (including several gringas) and from many different countries married to Colombian men. 3) right or wrong if you don’t think waving money at something will get you what you want in Colombia and a hell of a lot of other places in the world (you in fact you actually made the point yourself with your Led Zeppelin quote) you are sadly mistaken and not really living in the real world 4) if you didn’t like it why the hell did you waste all that time watching it all the way to the end?!?
