🔪--------------------------------RECIPE--------------------------------🔪
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Makes: 12 servings
✨INGREDIENTS
Pigs in a Blanket
6 hot dogs
1 egg
1 sheet puff pastry
2 tsp sesame seeds
Honey Mustard Sauce
⅓ cup mayo
¼ cup dijon
3 tbsp honey
✨INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut each hot dog into 6 pieces, about 1-inch long, for 36 pieces total.
Lightly flour your work surface. Roll out puff pastry to a rectangle about 12-inches by 10-inches.
With the longe edge towards you, cut the puff pastry vertically into 12 long strips. Then cut the strips horizontally into 3 sections, resulting in 36 strips.
Beat 1 egg with 1 tablespoon water.
Brush one end of a strip of puff pastry with the egg wash.
Starting at the end of the strip that does not have egg wash, roll up one hot dog piece in the puff pastry and place on the parchment-lined baking sheet seam side down.
Repeat with all strips of puff pastry and hot dog pieces.
Evenly brush all pigs in a blanket with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake until the puff pastry is golden brown, about 20 minutes.
While the pigs in a blanket bake, make the sauce.
Mix together all sauce ingredients and chill until ready to serve.
Serve warm with sauce!

I love these little guys for a great appy!
Glad you think so! I love them too as an app!
To anyone who is using lil smokies sausages, there is 30 in a pack. So you want to roll out the pastry puff to a 9" by 15" rectangle, and 1.5" in on 9" in side and 3"in on the 15" in side 😄
They come out perfect 🥰
Great tip! Thanks for sharing!
Happy Pigs N' Blanket Day 😋👊

Hie Michelle , saw your channel on content creators on fb . Great content
Thanks so much! Love that group!
Can these made ahead of time like an hour before party starts?
Totally! I don't mind serving them at room temp. You can always pop them back in the oven to reheat them right before you want to serve them too!
It looks yummy! Aside from baking, you kinda remind me of Miley Cyrus and I like her.
Thank you, that's a nice compliment :) ! These are really good and I hope you get a chance to make them!
@@cupofzest I'll definitely give it a try especially with the weather being nice. 🙂
@@chanthanop1578 🎉🎉🎉 can’t wait to hear how you like them 🎉🎉🎉
100k+ views on channel ... Keep going 🔥🔥
Thank you!!!!!
if you used sea salt instead of sesame seeds you could call them pretzel dogs.
OMG that would be so fun! Thanks for the idea!
damn, looks tasty
they are so delish, thank you!
These look amazing! I bought store bought puff pastry here in Pakistan but it's too thick i keep on rolling it and keeps on coming back! But ive just popped them in the oven let's aee how that turns out.
Yay! I’m so happy you’re giving it a go with what you have! I’d love to hear an update when they are done ❤️
Great video, just wondering, wouldn’t it be easier if you rolled the whole sausage in the puff pastry and then cut them to size, just asking
Thanks and YES.... it would be easier. When I tested the recipe I didn't even consider doing it that way. I'll have to test it again and try it wrapped up whole vs cut and see how it goes!
What can l use in place of egg wash
Sorry for the delay in my response.
You can try a milk or cream wash, or just skip it all together!
@@cupofzest thank you
More Content!
I wish I could make even more! I'd love to be able to post at least once a week by the end of the year. Fingers crossed I can make it happen
This is such an awesome recipe, I've made it so many times, and they are a hit every time. I use Hillshire Farm Lil Smokies (beef), and they are so addictive.
With all of that being said, I hope you are doing okay, it's been awhile since you've posted new videos. =/
Thank you for sharing this recipe. ❤
I am so so glad you love the recipe!
Thanks for checking in...I've been working through some tough life stuff the past two years. Things are starting to look a bit brighter and I'm working on a game plan to start more video content in 2024. Thanks again and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
400 degrees Fahrenheit?
yes, Fahrenheit
Couldn't you just wrap the whole hot dog in the puff pastry then cut it after doing the egg top and the sesame seeds rather than wrapping each one individually? That might crush the dough, I guess, but it might be a lot faster... idk maybe.
That is a really good idea and I'm sure it would work well! Honestly, when I was recipe testing and doing research, I didn't even think of trying it the way you described. If you end up trying it that way will you let me know how it works for you?
That's how you make sausage rolls anyway.
👨🏼🍳🧄🌶️🍳🌷🍷
very nice! Im gonna try to make this, check my recipes too maybe we can work together!
Awesome, thanks! I’ll check your videos out!
