4 days since UROLIFT. and yikes. I hope its worth it. They don't tell you the about the recovery process enough. I think that would discourage men for getting it. I was given local anesthetic in my prostate and urethra so the process wasn't that bad or maybe I just tolerate pain there better. My issue is that after the procedure the prostate now feels like its swollen shut and my flow now is much less and feels a lot more urgent. I know I'm still in the recovery phase but this phase wasn't made clear to me. No pain no gain, I guess is the mantra?

I'm going through it now. Had the procedure 6 days ago. Hurts to pee, very weak stream. Hope it passes soon.

What happens to the hooks a few years after this procedure, as the Prostate continues to grow, as it will?

I'm on the 2nd day of recovery. I was 100% awake through the whole thing. The valium did nothing. The only issue I have is the stinging while taking a piss and I feel like I have a golf ball up my butt. Doctor told me this is all normal and stinging will stop in 2 weeks. The pain during the procedure was not unbearable but there is pain. They do squirt a large syringe of numbing jell in you but there's still pain. I take extra strength Tylenol and Phenazopyridine (AZO) to assist with it all.

Had my urolift done in Dubai about a month and a half ago and could not be happier now. They gave me an epidural in the spine and did not feel a thing. The major inconvenience was the catheter I had to wear for 2 days, that sucked big time. Also the doc said wait 10 days after the eurolift procedure to have sex. I waited, but little to no ejaculation:(:(:(:(:( The doc said do not worry ejaculation will improve, and he was correct. I am 100% now what a life changer!!!!

Urolift worked for me for only two years and then urgency came back. I did try to talk to the Urolift company but they refused to talk to me. Any ideas on how to extend the life span of the Urolift implant which is sitting idly inside of me doing nothing?

Six months since urolift! I would recommend total anesthesia! I felt every poke and pinch, the doctor use lidocaine and nitrous oxide. No catheter was required but, BRING MAXI PADS.! ! The procedure should be called PROSTATE PINCH, that IS what it is. When he told about the feeling of shitting lemons that was quite accurate, and pissing. Razor blades was after a poorly lubricated cystoscpy!

I rubbed lidocaine on my perineum to fall asleep for months after my PROSTATE PINCH, I finally got a prescription for Tadalafil, not only have my LUTS improved, so has my high blood pressure. Nine months later I don't have the constant pinch sensation or I'm finally getting used to it.

The most painful medical procedure I've ever been through (that's six spine surgeries, two hernia surgeries, two heart catheterizations, among others), and after 6 months, I am back to the same problems I had before it was done, maybe even worse. It also totally killed my libido, which has always been extremely potent. My advice: Don't do it!

Do not choose local anaesthesia. They gave me a xanex to make me feel relaxed and didn't do anything. I felt lots of pain and wanted to urinate during the procedure. I'm wearing a catheter right now.
