uuuuugh, i love your stripped back, more abstract themes like this. it's so simple and elegant, and also truly beginner friendly if they want to make it more artsy but still very much achievable. i set up my bujo six months at a time, but this year i got a bit excited and already have up until september done hehe, and i totally took inspiration from your last yearly setup for my june next year. may i ask if the serif font you use is based on a downloadable font? it's lovely!
@@trash-goblin yeah haha i have trouble making time when i'm in the middle of my busy routine, so at this time of year, when things are a bit more chill, i just sit down and draw for a couple of hours at a time. i'll do it again when i hit my mid-year break. doing it like this has helped me be more consistent with the bujo!! all about figuring out what works best for u!
Beautiful! This gets me so excited to set up my bujo! And I’m using the linen Olive Branch journal! Also, do help with the bleeding of your pens underneath the ruler- just flip your ruler the other way so that it’s “upside down.” You can still effectively draw straight lines, but the edges of the ruler won’t touch your ink.
as someone who struggles with mental health i really love making a year in pixels type of spread where i colour code my days depending on the severity of my mental health disorders. this really helps me keep track of everything and notice patterns in behaviour! i also agree that a period tracker is a must have, super helpful and helps me with health issues. loved this video so much
I'm a month-by-months and within that week-by-week person because for some weeks I need more space and some less, that also helps me add a notes/planning spread whenever I need it (e.g., events, holidays, packing lists) as it happens
I started bullet journaling this year, and I started off doing it month by month but wound up setting up the rest of the year one day when I was bored. I got another journal for 2022 way back in the summer and did my monthly spreads here and there. I finished setting it up today and it only takes up a third of this journal, so I guess I'm going to work on 2023 now😅I love your 2022 setup, great vid!
I started bullet journaling a few years ago. At first, I hate myself for not having the talent to draw and make beautiful spreads. Now, my drawing skills are still bad but I found ways to make my spreads beautiful and neat even without amazing drawing skills. Most importantly, I create my own system using my all-in-one bullet journal where I keep track of my study goals, work goals, content creating goals, etc. I realised that my bullet journal doesn’t need to look like other’s bullet journal in order to be useful or functional. As long as it serve my need to keep my entire life organised, it is a wonderful bullet journal.
thank you so much for your trans and other lgb+ friendly language in this video! I often feel out of place in these communities (journaling/bujo) as a transmasc person so I really appreciated hearing gender-neutral language. the small things really do count. your spreads look amazing and I'm so happy I clicked on this video because now I have some great spreads to add to my journal this year!
such a pretty set up!! I like to include what I call a "yearly dashboard" where I keep track of all of the books I've read, albums I've loved, trips I've taken (which have been lacking), new things I've tried, etc. throughout the year! hope you're well. :)
In my experience, your thirties are absolutely AMAZING compared to your twenties. You become much more grounded in yourself, your BS meter gets better (and your willingness to deal with it decreases dramatically), and life smooths out around the edges. I hope they're as transformative for you as they have been for me!
I love the way you edited out the rectangle fill-in clips to make it looks like you just “popped” in the colors. It’s an almost stop-motionesque touch, and it really adds charm to the video.
I would love a dedicated video on the period tracker - I set one up in my last journal and ended up abandoning it because I couldn't figure out how to track symptoms with it, and just reverted to using Clue.
I'm so glad this popped up on my feed! Thank you for this lovely and simplistic approach to BuJo. This will be my first year (2022) - recently discovered BuJo, and many of its elements I can relate to using for several years, albeit minus the extensive art/doodling many others use. Not that I've watched a wide range of creators that do BuJo content, but you are the first that mentions and uses a period tracker - yaay!! In my 30's, and that is something I've been tracking for over a decade now; agree on its benefits. I've often penciled things into my traditional annual planner for months in advance, so am trying the approach of setting up several months' worth in my BuJo.
The two greens with the gold are divine, and I also love the music in this video! It reminds me of the music from the teamLab Borderless exhibition, just makes me feel so at peace 😌
Also, I think it’s so cool that you used shapes, because I’m just starting my first bujo and I get so overwhelmed by the beautiful spreads people make, but I’m just not at that level of drawing and I’m a perfectionist, so using shapes is such a cool and simple idea that looks so fancy! And thank you for showing how to do this!
I had the chance to see it live, and it's absolutely gorgeous! I'm in love! I love the squares, the green hues, the golden accents, and i'm really in love with both your cursive handwriting and the serif letters you draw! You did an amazing job, and i hope this bujo will brings you a lot of joy for the next six months!
The way you fill in the letters with the black dashes. Brings those velvet color in posters to mind or that wallpaper. Basically it looks like a soft touchable velvet texture.
Just started BuJoing and while I'm not creatively inclined with my hands or interested in getting pathologically obsessive with my BuJo, I found this inspiring and I want to maybe be a little more deliberate with how I design my second BuJo. Thanks for this!
Love this green set up!! I always include a password log, bc I always reference my journal when I'm looking at bills! In 2022 I want to add a cleaning schedule to my overview to keep better on top of my house!
I have been watching your videos and BUJO setups for a few years now and must say this one just speaks to my 🧡. Clean lines with squares, splashes of green and gold- pretty but feels achivable at the same time. Great job ☀️
Insanely gorgeous! I am always so inspired by your setups and probably would have replicated this if I hadn't already started my own 2022 setup using a galaxy theme. Spreads I always include: a work info page (a place to keep all my zoom meeting IDs and information about my benefits etc), a school info page (grades, professor contact details etc), an ideal daily/weekly/monthly habits page, a things to check out spread for all the suggestions my friends give me, series tracker for the shows I watch, and of course a purchases/arrivals tracker because I also get an ungodly amount of packages (I actually use a two-page spread every six months!).
I just started bullet journaling and as an artist, I'm mostly in it for the artistic aspect of it. One spread I do is a commissions spread where I can keep track of my clients and how much time I have left to finish their piece. Really great for keeping track of a small business
Gonna try to get into journaling and reading again next year, I haven’t read anything in 2021 cuz of my depressive episodes. I want to read at least ten books next year, to see if it will make me happy again. Thanks for always inspiring me, Elizabeth:)
Beautiful! I am working on minimizing my wardrobe so I have a wear counter, financial planning, fitness tracker and reading list at the start of each of my journals
I honestly had no idea that some people set their entire year in advance. 😲 Hats off to you~ I find that really difficult because I shift from a bullet journal to a dated or undated planner sometimes when I get burned out. But if I do bullet journal, I set up a max of 4 weeks in advance.
Wow Elizabeth, this is just beautiful!! I love the purpose that you have set of creating a sort of series with your bullet journals. As you said, I love that you keep the old aesthetic of your previous bujo and how free it allows you to be using designs like this linear with blocks of green. I already said it but how beautiful the result is!!
I ordered your bundle in the a&o Black Friday sale! I’m so excited to set up my 2022 bujo in an archer and olive notebook and to try out the arcrylographs!
Future log is essential! I also use an almost identical spread for accomplishments by month. Great for reflection and summarizing, I find it especially helpful during corporate review time or when I hit “lows” and need a reminder of things that have gone well each year.
Just imagine it would actually work like that that if you touch a bordered space on your page with your pen it gets filled out immediately like in digital painting :D that would be lit xD The grid page by the way is such a smart idea I would have never thought of! I think I am taking it in my standart reportoire for my bullet journals :) I love bullet journaling but honestly I can not draw or write very pretty (being left-handed is to blame in my opinion) so I need to make raw drafts with a pencil beforehand which always ends up so much work that I tend to stop bullet journaling only a few months after I started :( If you take video ideas: I would love a video off you showing off different spread ideas and how you actually use them as I often times struggle to come up with things to put in my journal beside the basics ^^ Closing words on my post: I just wanted to say that I really love your calm voice and the chill way you talk :)
I wish! That would save so much time 😅 that’s a good idea! Maybe stamps could help with getting pretty headers without spending too much time sketching the lettering? Thank you ❤️
I used to pencil everything first then go over it in pen and it would take forever. The last couple of years, I've been using Frixion erasable pens (I buy them at Walmart) and it's been life-saver. They come in different colors and even have a small selection of markers, fine liners, and highlighters.
At first I was a little bummed that your spread was so simple, as the video played, I really saw the beauty and elegance in the clean lines and two color approach! So thank you for reminding this “more and more is better” BuJo journalist that simple is just as beautiful and really cleansing to the eye and spirit 🌺 as for spreads…I also add a monthly check-in spread where I take a quick overview of my goal, class, gratitude/emotional progress. This just gives me a nice cap on my month ( I just never seem to keep a tracker going for anything! ) and, it leads into a full 6 month spread where I take a deep dive into questions that wake me up to look at places where I need to get going or pull back, depending on the info and how I’m feeling at the 6m mark. I find monthly check-ins takes the pressure off the daily trackers, because I just forget about them! I do love your period tracker and if I still got a period, I think that would be the one I could keep…because it’s monthly??😃 As always, thanks for your wonderful videos…I have to say, I got a nice big BF haul of your journals and they are so lovely. Happy🪴🪴🪴mis!
This set-up is fantastic. 👏 I'm already in love with this A5 diary and can't wait to use it, along with the pens for 2022! I enjoyed this video so much that I'm considering doing something similar on a monthly or yearly basis 😍 I wish you a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous new year!✨✨
I love everything that you made Elizabeth! This setup is absolutely stunning and it makes me want to start a new bullet journal alreadyy (even though i still have soo much to learn) ❤ One thing that I need for myself is a sleep tracker.. being in quarantine has totally messed up my sleeping schedule so yeah.. Anyway, I can't wait to see your january setup too and get inspired from your masterpiece. Stay safe and stay awesome! Lots of love from me! ❤
I have no idea how to set up a sleep tracker but I should look that up. This week I made a coffee chocholate banana bread which was tasty and messed my sleep schedule up terribly.
@@sayuriando3379 hahaha that sounds so worth it tho! For sleep tracker, you just need to make a diagram with the date and the hours in it, and then just put mark on the number of hours of your sleep.. you might want to check pnterest, there's so many beautiful ideas there 😊
@@evelynkarunia3173 Thank you. Yes, it was worth it. I'm thinking of getting a cupcake tray and make the cake as cupcakes instead. Maybe I can freeze them
This spread is gorgeous! I have been rewatching your 2021 set ups (both the evie and eara notebooks) because I love the set ups so much and wanted to create something similar in mine for this year and now I have even more inspo! Thanks for the great video!
This is soooo soothing to the eye😍 Minimalist but not boring at all! Cant wait till this beautiful notebook arrives to join my notebook collection of A&O's. Its soo pretty! And to answer your questions,; I'm an 1 month in front kind of person, and I start with the new month halfway the previous month setting it up. And future log, yearly overview, plastic recycle date tracker, period(love-hate) tracker, online shopping tracker, birthday calender and wishlist-want-need spread are my go to things in every new bujo. Oh! And my tombow color wheel/tracker. Hoping to complete my collection upcoming year😁😁😁
I’m a month by month set up person also love the green of this journal. Always enjoy your videos your voice is very calming to hear when I do my journal
I just set up my 2022 bullet journal on my channel and I used that same bullet journal and I loooooovveeee it! It’s soooooo pretty! Thanks for your inspiration!
Beautiful setup, Elizabeth! Zamora is the name of a beautiful Spanish city so as you can imagine, me being Spanish, I love it even more! 😍😍😍😍 I wish you the best of years for 2022 for you and your loved ones! 🙏🏻😚
Hats off to you for doing all the work for plantmas! At the moment I feel like with my BA thesis, uni and christmas coming up I'm already at capacity 🧑🎄 Edit: typo :)
I do year at a time because I have persistent depressive disorder, ptsd and anxiety, so I get in the dumps often and can’t do anything. Whenever I get bursts of inspiration and motivation, I’ll do as much as I can so all I have to do is just fill in and journal. I combine regular journaling with bullet journaling. Charts for the year and by the month and then just journaling pages for every day. I do the future logs and yearly charts, then break off to the months. For January I had a calendar set up and fill in as I go, and other stuff
Your quote brought me so many memories as it is a line in Nickelback's Lullaby song. It is a song that I sing when I feel down or need to power through something hard. I always include index(if it doesn't include already in notebook), birthday log, calender and future log on my set ups and since last year July, also including productivity level tracker symbols.
I'm a "month at a time" kind of girl. I've been fighting depression for the last two years (menopause + pandemic = not good mental health), and my bullet journal fell by the wayside starting in September. I just got a new one from Notebook Therapy because I need a fresh start, and I'm gluing the leftover pages in my old one together. Bullet journalers seem to have a thing for black cats. I have one, Planning with Kay has Luna, and you have Yoda and Chewy. If I was still having my period (hysterectomy, baby!), I'd be tracking it. I've had really bad experiences with birth control (ironically, I'm on it now for menopause reasons), and natural family planning was super helpful.
Most of the time I start setting up my bujo days after the month began. I think summer 2020 was the only time I set up for multiple months at once. Currently I'm trying to start a few days to a week before since I'm starting with getting more colours in and deciding which spreads to put in. I decided to add a cleaning schedule to keep track of when I need to clean what with reminders in the rest of the bujo as well as a sewing & crochet spread to keep track of projects I have planned and if I have the material or not. I'm thinking of doing a book of the month page to get myself back into reading. I still have ca 50% of my reading challenge left since I added books after I noticed that I had only one book left in it. Not sure if I regret it or not.
Love this so much!💜 I have a Notebook Therapy book that I bought last Christmas for 2021... that didn't work out.🤨 So here I am again, trying to set up for 2022 and this setup is perfect. Thanks for sharing and wish me luck. 🤞
Such a lovely setup... I did mine and want to do this one but its alright... Loved it its soooooo unique... Even my setup is in Green and Olive green shade...
Hey, I finally got your Archer & Olive B5 and that's what I plan to use for my 2022. I am excited but also worried , I want to do it justice ☺️ Loving your new set up, hoping to get a few inspirations for mine as well.
I personally am a year bj person. I also am weird and set my bullet journal up starting in August so that it revolves around the school year. It works really well
I just bought your journal bundle from Archer and Olive and the quality is phenomenal. I’m so so happy with the journal and the pens! Can’t wait to get started!
Hi! This is my first time visiting your channel (subbed now!). Just wanted to drop a comment and thank you for the inspiration. I didn't consider using a kanban board in my bullet journal but I definitely want to try one for 2022. I don't do video production, but I have a use case I think would be perfect for it. Also, I hadn't done the "master to-do list" spread before but I think it could really work for me. I struggle to know where to migrate a task to when it doesn't fit in my daily log, monthly goals, or a specific month in my future log, but I also don't want to forget about it. So, thanks! To answer your question about what I *do* include in new journal setups, here's what I've landed on: Index - Grid spacing - Future log - When did I last...? - Home Improvement (list of long term home goals) - TV Tracker - Check it out - Online order tracking - Annual review notes (for work, highlights and accomplishments for when I have to write up my annual review for my boss)
wow loveeee this setup! i ended up doing a version of the circular setup in brown for my nara notebook and my future log is my favourite thing to show people when they ask about what bullet journalling is haha! now i can’t wait to do something more linear and angular for my sunrise notebook!!! 🤩
Beautiful, as always. I have a BJ that is carried in my purse every day, great for jotting down ideas. And a HP for home that is set up a year at a time. The BJ is month to month.

I used to pencil everything first then go over it in pen and it would take forever. The last couple of years, I've been using Frixion erasable pens (I buy them at Walmart) and it's been life-saver. They come in different colors and even have a small selection of markers, fine liners, and highlighters.
The greens never get old🌿...this setup looks really beautiful
Aw thank you! I like the idea of a check-in spread like this, I may need to incorporate something like this into my bullet journal!
Those greens are beautiful!! Your last notebook colour is beautiful too. Heartwarming colours 🧡💚 the little gold accents are the perfect touch.
This set-up is fantastic. 👏 I'm already in love with this A5 diary and can't wait to use it, along with the pens for 2022! I enjoyed this video so much that I'm considering doing something similar on a monthly or yearly basis 😍 I wish you a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous new year!✨✨
Stunning bullet and cute cat S2 best combination ever!
I love everything that you made Elizabeth! This setup is absolutely stunning and it makes me want to start a new bullet journal alreadyy (even though i still have soo much to learn) ❤
One thing that I need for myself is a sleep tracker.. being in quarantine has totally messed up my sleeping schedule so yeah..
Maybe I can freeze them
So satisfying to watch these spreads being created
Green is my fav colour, this setup us really pretty
This spread is gorgeous! I have been rewatching your 2021 set ups (both the evie and eara notebooks) because I love the set ups so much and wanted to create something similar in mine for this year and now I have even more inspo! Thanks for the great video!
This is soooo soothing to the eye😍 Minimalist but not boring at all! Cant wait till this beautiful notebook arrives to join my notebook collection of A&O's. Its soo pretty!
And to answer your questions,;
I'm an 1 month in front kind of person, and I start with the new month halfway the previous month setting it up.
At the moment I feel like with my BA thesis, uni and christmas coming up I'm already at capacity 🧑🎄
Edit: typo :)
As we’re half way through 22 now, if you have time, would you consider adding to your shop a 22-23 monthly calendar download to your shop?
I do year at a time because I have persistent depressive disorder, ptsd and anxiety, so I get in the dumps often and can’t do anything. Whenever I get bursts of inspiration and motivation, I’ll do as much as I can so all I have to do is just fill in and journal. I combine regular journaling with bullet journaling. Charts for the year and by the month and then just journaling pages for every day. I do the future logs and yearly charts, then break off to the months. For January I had a calendar set up and fill in as I go, and other stuff
I’ve been so incredibly excited for this video 🥰 I loove your sets ups they’re always so satisfying!! ❤️
Thank you so much! 🥰
Gorgeous work as always!! Fun fact, Zamora is actually a place in Spain, and i was so happy to see you incorporate the name :)))
That’s so cool! It’s a beautiful name ❤️ next time I’m in Spain I’ll have to visit!
Thank you for creating this video. I recently discovered bullet journal and am studying as I'm planning to start my very first one Jan 1 2023
Such a lovely setup... I did mine and want to do this one but its alright... Loved it its soooooo unique... Even my setup is in Green and Olive green shade...
What a beautiful minimal design♥️
The shades of Itarian olive greens are very very tranquil.
Thank you for the gorgeous and relaxing video🌿
Hey,
I finally got your Archer & Olive B5 and that's what I plan to use for my 2022. I am excited but also worried , I want to do it justice ☺️
Loving your new set up, hoping to get a few inspirations for mine as well.
Loving your setup and the editing of this video. The way you tapped to color the squares was so satisfying.
Your the most underrated youtuber! You should get Millon subs! Keep it up !😊😊
I personally am a year bj person. I also am weird and set my bullet journal up starting in August so that it revolves around the school year. It works really well
thank you for putting the key, i couldn't figure out a good clean and simple way to make the key
i used to be so obsessed w these omg
I love those see through clips!
So, thanks!
To answer your question about what I *do* include in new journal setups, here's what I've landed on:
Index - Grid spacing - Future log - When did I last...? - Home Improvement (list of long term home goals) - TV Tracker - Check it out - Online order tracking - Annual review notes (for work, highlights and accomplishments for when I have to write up my annual review for my boss)
wow loveeee this setup! i ended up doing a version of the circular setup in brown for my nara notebook and my future log is my favourite thing to show people when they ask about what bullet journalling is haha! now i can’t wait to do something more linear and angular for my sunrise notebook!!! 🤩
Ah yay so glad you like it! I love that these themes are so easy to do with any colour scheme ❤️
Got this exact notebook for 2022 during the Black Friday sale! Can’t wait to use it!
Oh yay! I just bought this journal for my 2022 bujo and it is stunning, Elizabeth! You and A&O did an amazing job ✨
Thank you so much! I hope you’ll love it 🥰
I am using exactly the same Elizabeth! Love it!
Beautiful, as always.
I have a BJ that is carried in my purse every day, great for jotting down ideas. And a HP for home that is set up a year at a time. The BJ is month to month.
Oooh, it is so pretty. As much I love warm colours, I also love greens and natural colours. Your journal setup is so amazing. Congrats on another amazing setup. All the best for your new journal and your new year!
Thank you so much! I feel the same way ❤️
I’m excited about the colour theme you used for next year!!
Me too! So much green 💚💚
i started journaling in july and ive kept up with it through now so i rewarded myself with two a&o journals for 2022. the first is the yellow sunrise and the second is your collab orange sunset (both in B5); ive started doing my set up and im so excited for the coming year! your content has been a huge inspiration and companion whilst ive worked on my journaling so far - im excited to see what you bring us in the next year!
Oh, the perfect set! Thank you so much ❤️ I’m so glad I could be with you on your journaling journey!
Your setup is absolutely beautiful! I’m using this journal in A5 and I already love it and am excited to use it, along with the pens for 2022! Hope you have a great holiday season and happy new year! :)
Aw yay, we match! Thank you and same to you ❤️
This was so absolutely stunning! I love the simplicity and the colors!
Thank you so much!
This setup is so wonderful. I really enjoyed this video and I am thinking of doing something similar in a monthly or yearly setup although my next setup will be in September
Aw thank you! ❤️
This is really beautiful. Thanks for the inspo! 💗
Very pretty. Love the boxes and lines concept.
I do a month at a time, I also work in weddings so I’m 100% planning things for 2023 in 2021 😎 so I have a one page future log for the next two years!
