@@weeden350 No degree and no sales experience. I was an appointment setter many years ago, but nothing recent. After taking a course in tech, getting an entry level position is much easier because they teach you what you need to know and look for on your job search.

Congrats. I was also in deep poverty several years ago and it was a lot easier living with parents. These parents and immediate family had almost zero emotional support or validation through my hard time. Now I’ve held down a job for 20 months and the salary of it is 60k minimum. It’s also a job that isn’t too stressful with some security. And I’m in school again. Plus I’m saving and getting financially fit. I also have an autoimmune disease called eoe, several surgeries in my life and difficulty communicating with people from either abuse or Asperger’s. Yet I’m doing it too. You can make it in America if you’re poor. It was easier for me I admit as I had a roof over my head whole time rent free. And btw cause of the Asperger’s I was also fired about 12 times in my life. But I’ve found a career in sales working remotely

I too was never interested in tech. It just never crossed my mind because I thought that it was just too complex. I too have a retail and customer service background but I feel as if I was never really good at sales. The only thing holding me back from doing course careers is my age. I am 43 years old and I haven’t seen anyone on UA-cam discussing the age issue. I’ve heard some people say they hire young people. Any advice anyone?
Sorry for the late response but from what I’ve noticed Tech Sales is very inclusive to all different backgrounds, ethnicities and ages. I’ve seen people in their 50s landing jobs. Please don’t let your age be something that holds you back from potentially a life changing career. I hope this helps and again sorry for the late reply 🙏🏾✨
Hey Lisa👋🏾 So I can’t speak for everyone else, but my proof comes from several places. 1st, the salary (base + ote) listed on the job description that I applied to. Also what was told to me by the hiring manager during my interview process, and lastly the amount listed on my offer letter. I know that a lot of tech sales jobs OTE is usually around $75k-$85k so that could be a reason you see a lot of the same salaries mentioned. My OTE is actually $80k with no cap, but I chose to use $80k since that is the minimum. I hope this helps some ♥️

Thank you! I was selling the services that they offer. The company actually has a script and sent it to me to review before doing the mock sales call. Unfortunately a lot of companies won’t operate using a script and may just wing the sales call. I studied the script of course, but I also watched a few UA-cam videos and read some articles to help with my tonality and rebuttals.

Remember we make time for the things we truly want. Use the time that you do have and capitalize off that. If all you have is 2hrs a day to get something done, then for those 2hrs you have to make it count. 💪🏾🙏🏾✨

Congrats love! I would like to know what’s the base salary though? I see alot of different people saying 80K, but I know alot of times sales jobs can be commission based. So the salary can be like 40K and then with OTE or bonuses it can jump to 80K. So can you tell me what they actually offered as BASE pay? It will help with my decision of taking the course or not. 😊
Hey! So my base is $50k and my OTE is $80k with an unlimited cap. The hiring manager stated during my interview that 95% of their sales team is hitting “at least” $100k. I hope that helps answer your question 🥰 Good luck on your journey 🙏🏾♥️

The only thing holding me back from doing course careers is my age. I am 43 years old and I haven’t seen anyone on UA-cam discussing the age issue. I’ve heard some people say they hire young people. Any advice anyone?
Sorry for the late response but from what I’ve noticed Tech Sales is very inclusive to all different backgrounds, ethnicities and ages. I’ve seen people in their 50s landing jobs. Please don’t let your age be something that holds you back from potentially a life changing career. I hope this helps and again sorry for the late reply 🙏🏾✨

Please don't take this the wrong way but I'm noticing many of you are quoting the same salary of 80k. Do u all have proof to show? I'm just wondering.
Hey Lisa👋🏾 So I can’t speak for everyone else, but my proof comes from several places. 1st, the salary (base + ote) listed on the job description that I applied to. Also what was told to me by the hiring manager during my interview process, and lastly the amount listed on my offer letter. I know that a lot of tech sales jobs OTE is usually around $75k-$85k so that could be a reason you see a lot of the same salaries mentioned. My OTE is actually $80k with no cap, but I chose to use $80k since that is the minimum. I hope this helps some ♥️

Thank you! I was selling the services that they offer. The company actually has a script and sent it to me to review before doing the mock sales call. Unfortunately a lot of companies won’t operate using a script and may just wing the sales call. I studied the script of course, but I also watched a few UA-cam videos and read some articles to help with my tonality and rebuttals.

Congrats love! I would like to know what’s the base salary though? I see alot of different people saying 80K, but I know alot of times sales jobs can be commission based. So the salary can be like 40K and then with OTE or bonuses it can jump to 80K. So can you tell me what they actually offered as BASE pay? It will help with my decision of taking the course or not. 😊
Hey! So my base is $50k and my OTE is $80k with an unlimited cap. The hiring manager stated during my interview that 95% of their sales team is hitting “at least” $100k. I hope that helps answer your question 🥰 Good luck on your journey 🙏🏾♥️
