HELL YES! I'm so glad to see people getting on board with glycerin! I get a bottle of the plain stuff super affordably and put a drop in my hand with some water, mix together, and then put on my face like a toner. It should be noted to anyone reading here about the power of glycerin that at a concentration of 100%, it's actually been found to just not do anything. You should dilute it with water to get the full benefits. If you want to make a pre-mixed bottle of water and glycerin, you'll need to use distilled water, and a preservative if the glycerin is at a concentration lower than 60% (at 60%, the mixture will generally be too thick for bacteria to thrive). If you don't want to go through the trouble, just mix it in your hand every time.
HA is especially not effective if you’re in a cold and dry climate. If there’s not enough moisture in the air, HA will draw water from your skin layers to hydrate the surface of your skin. My skin has become dryer compared to my late teens and now my skin feels taut after I apply a moisturizer with HA during the winter, which used to not happen. Sad I have to find a different moisturizer now
This is so funny that you call this a Cloudberry because in Newfoundland, Canada, we call them Bakeapples! It grows wild in Canada’s Boreal Forest and is a significant regional food. We would go Bakeapple picking every year in the marshy boggy areas where they grow. My mom would make jam out of them. They require a lot of sugar as the berry is quite bitter. That’s your lesson for the day lol I just find it fascinating that this Berry is such a great thing for your skin ❤

Peach and Lily is unfortunately way too pricey for me in Australia, but I love their more affordable sister brand Peach Slices! The Snail toner and gel cream are some of my favourites 😊
I really like Rare Beauty, so im definitely gonna go into Sephora and smell the perfume and the aromatherapy pen. I love stuff like that and I have Cyclic vomiting syndrome and a hiatal hernia, so a peppermint aromatherapy pen sounds amazing🤷♀️

Omg yes. I bought the set and the darker shade had bits in it ?? It felt disgusting. The lighter shades were nice but had to return all since it was a set. Customer service said it was from shipping during cold and once it melts it’ll be fine but it was not. 🤷🏻♀️I prefer summer Fridays or naturium for this type of lippie. I want to try these Saltair ones though 😮

On the sizes, Zara as a brand from Spain, together with Italian and French brands (Chinese, Turkish) are smaler in standard. I am on the plus size and I navigate more easily through UK and German sizes..
Some are actually good though. I haven't tried them myself but I see so many people loving Rare Beauty and Fenty. Actually, I take that back. I did try Fenty lip gloss and I returned it. It wasn't for me personally but holy grail to many others. I tried Haus Labs (Lady gaga) mostly through free samples. They were decent I think.
Only time I'll deal with a celebrity brand is with their perfumes, deeply discounted at a lowbrow budget souq here in the Middle East (encountered many discontinued fragrances there like Sarah Jessica Parker's and Selina Gomez's). 🤣 Too risky to try anything makeup and skincare from them.

I mean, these people are not professional how to produce makeup or skincare these people are already rich and they just "steal" the shine from other actually good makeup brands and i don't support that sh*t. They just produce more and more products, plastic whatever. We already have so many products we need to stop producing It's not good for the environment.

Rare Beauty has been inspired by Korean beauty I noticed, especially since her products are also made there. I believe one of the team members on Rare was from NYX. I think if the celebrity brand can do something actually better than what's out there in the market or is innovative then it's worth it to try or repurchase.

That Zara spray is gonna be for the Drag Queens, the exotic dancers, bartenders and people that work in entertainment or hospitality that would call for a look like that. There's definitely a market for it!
I'd use it on a night out, especially considering my hair is a golden/blonde colour. I think it would look good. Not for every night though and I think I'd prefer a smaller cheaper version!

Rhode beauty lip treatments are so trash I bought three of them. They had grid in it cut up my lips severely! When I called the company, they told me it was OK. It was just a stabilization issue and to just rub it in my lips! No, it’s not OK my lips are cut up from a treatment so warning to everybody don’t buy these! Horrible customer service ended in me telling them keep the money you obviously need it. I’ll throw these in the trash where they belong.

I’d tried their Watermelon Juice moisturizer and overnight mask a few years ago & wasn’t super impressed. They were fine, but not a repurchase. I sorta wrote them off after that. But your video piqued my interest in giving them another try, and I’m so glad I did! I actually just repurchased a couple items I’d bought immediately following your video, since my skin’s been doing so well with them. I’ll definitely pick up the new essence, asap!

James, I have a question about retinol. I am currently using a retinol oil (the revolution 0,5 retinol with rosehip seed oil). Now normally I know you should apply retinol before moisturizer, but is that also the case when the retinol is an oil? I use the elf holy hydration moisturizer at night. What do you advice? wow, i might just actually get the Cloudberry essence. cloudberry is a fantastic ingredient full of polyphenols and vitamin c, and it's quite rare to see it in cosmetics. the fact that they combined it with ubiquinone makes me really intrigued.

I think if the celebrity brand can do something actually better than what's out there in the market or is innovative then it's worth it to try or repurchase.

From the notes described it actually seems to be a herbal and earthy parfum so it wouldn’t actually smell like fried chicken but I understand where you’re coming from!! 😂

sorry i gotta disagree a little xD if the scent is supposed to replicate the kfc spice recipe, its gonna smell like youve got chicken around you for hours. those herbs on their own, yes would totally be a pleasant scent, but not the full mix🤢 i dont want to smell like dinner and condiments

South Park did an episode about KFC... first, Cartman eats all the skin off the chicken in the bucket, so everyone is pissed at him... then the KFC closed, and Cartman was jousting for the gravy so bad, that he went to a place that was imitating a methadone clinic, but for KFC gravy. How to get mauled by a bear-wear chicken perfume.
Rhode beauty lip treatments are so trash I bought three of them. They had grid in it cut up my lips severely! When I called the company, they told me it was OK. It was just a stabilization issue and to just rub it in my lips! No, it’s not OK my lips are cut up from a treatment so warning to everybody don’t buy these! Horrible customer service ended in me telling them keep the money you obviously need it. I’ll throw these in the trash where they belong.

If you watch the interview interview that Selena Gomez had talking about her new body products, you would see that she knows absolutely nothing about skin care nor knew what or how to describe her products it was quite sad & I I also had a chance to view her products in person cannot say how but they definitely are Kim skin packaging and the smell and formula was a underwhelming.

James, I want to thank you for convincing me to give Glow Recipe another chance; you did a video about GR a month or two ago, and went through all their products & your faves. I’d tried their Watermelon Juice moisturizer and overnight mask a few years ago & wasn’t super impressed. They were fine, but not a repurchase. I sorta wrote them off after that. But your video piqued my interest in giving them another try, and I’m so glad I did! I actually just repurchased a couple items I’d bought immediately following your video, since my skin’s been doing so well with them. I’ll definitely pick up the new essence, asap!

James, I have a question about retinol. I am currently using a retinol oil (the revolution 0,5 retinol with rosehip seed oil). Now normally I know you should apply retinol before moisturizer, but is that also the case when the retinol is an oil? I use the elf holy hydration moisturizer at night. What do you advice? Should I apply the retinol first, even though it’s an oil, and then the moisturizer? Thank you!

wow, i might just actually get the Cloudberry essence. cloudberry is a fantastic ingredient full of polyphenols and vitamin c, and it's quite rare to see it in cosmetics. the fact that they combined it with ubiquinone makes me really intrigued.
