Dunno if you have ever watched adam LZ videos but one of his friends did a shit ton of sim drifting and finally got around to getting a drift car and was instantly killing it. Pretty sure he was playing assetto corsa as well.
back when slap used to have the steering wheel setup, swinging cars left to right on forza horizon 2, to here where he can drift his g35 like a pro. feels good to see you come so far man! keep it up!
This is really cool to see you getting out there and getting some skids in. I've been watching your channel since before 1 million subs and I was watching the stream the night you hit 1 million, it was epic. Now your over 2 millions subs and your out there sliding for real. Man I couldn't be happier for ya.
Remember watching slap just drifting in-game..I mean he's still doin' it but now he's finally also doing it IRL!! Much love and good luck with everything that you're doing! ❤❤
God damn Peter, it’s always fun to think on how you com from sim drifting to real life drifting and also watching you throughout all these years grow and grow it’s like watching your kid grow and honestly I feel so proud with what you’ve accomplished. Keep up the good work man, looking forward to see more of this and maybe you bring Auto vlogs back some time.
Yeah man this is a great vid bud! Love seeing you on the track man! I know first hand the adrenaline rush that you get drifting & racing! Really awesome Bud!!! Also the G35 is looking & sounding sweet man!!!
Youve come a looong way my dude, from having the blue crx, drifting rfactor on the fanatec, to drifting in real life and being pretty good. You put in the work, and it shows for sure
I sometimes think back in time from when slap used to say he wanted to do this shit one day and look at my mans like bruh time really does fly. Been watching since your first channel bro so keep doing your thing.
Man I am so jealous of your setup. It just seams so effortless working that car. I always seem to fight to be that smooth. Keep up the good work brotha we all love the channel, the best on UA-cam. I could just watch this all day. I don't think you blinked the whole time lol
Christopher_AkaBigern Meyer PROBS NOT LMFAOOOOO was so worried about wrecking and having to find a way home for 3+ hours lmaooooo and yea car did feel great all day was super happy
Hey slap i watched your videos way back in the day and I saw this in my sub uploads and just now watched and wanted to say from someone who also started on a sim and then moved onto a real car im very proud of you. Through all the people giving you hate back in the day for never driving your real car I just wanted to say im genuinely proud of you. Keep ripping buddy you're gonna improve faster than you know it
You should stop garbing the hand brake. i know its your first time and all but trying to drift 1 handed is not ideal for a beginner :D You might think the handbrake might save you/help you if you mess up, thats the thing You will mess up more if you are drifting one handed ;) my advice - forget the hand brake for now. anyway nice video tho man, awesome to finally see you living that drift life. keep it up bro !
I was thinking the same. Forget the handbrake. Try to focus on playing with the throttle. The handbreak should be your last option to use. I also started few months ago to drift irl and had the same problem. If you use both hands on the wheel while drifting, it will become way smoother 🙌🏽
@@RisingMuggel i still don't understand these two schools. The first one say, "don't use handbrake" And the second one say, "use handbrake".. Just why not using it, it's wayyyyyyyy easier to drift with handbrake instead of only drifting with throttle ;-;
@@RisingMuggel imagine when he's gonna do his first tandem, 100% he's gonna ram the guy in front of him or he's just gonna do an epic shit mistake just because he didn't learned how to use handbrake :/
@@Garden-Tech Yeah, you're right, but there is a difference between only using throtle and using throtle + handbrake. Well, you're right on almost everything, but you have to use handbrake if you want to be as good as every good drifter. Not everytime of course, but when you need it, use it, it's completly dumb to force you to not use this fabulous thing.
So I haven't watched these videos for Slap in quite some time (namely due to lack of spare moments/working a lot). And I have to say, it's awesome when a guy that does racing simulation videos can actually drive in real life as well. Slap, you are one cool dude and you're the reason I got back into cars and started wanting to get into racing simulation gaming. Here's to hoping that we might meet some day good sir.
That was awesome dude 👌 I could see you getting better and more confident as you got your nerves under control. Looked like a hell of a lot of fun!! Good stuff brother 👌 (Always wanted to go to a track and drift... Just never had the opportunity or vehicle... I have spent quite a bit of time on the streets at stupid o'clock in the morning, in the middle of nowhere with a s13 having fun though xP)
Great video bro! How about getting some clips of outside the car? You could have someone record a lap so we could get another view? Keep up the good work!
Great to see you on track finally, just one criticism is how you join a hot track. Even if its empty, you stay in the pit exit lane (solid line) and only cross when it is safe to do so (dotted line). Gives you a much safer period to do your shoulder/mirror check instead of side swiping a faster car.
100% agree if you look closely you see the guy who asked for my bracklet he gave me the go to go on track when it’s clear but I still shoulder check outta habit
@@TheSLAPTrain1 Just making sure is all. Cayuga and Shannonville are flat tracks, but the pit exit at CTMP (GP) is into a blind downhill corner. If you cross the pit lane marker too early you're going right into the racing line and there's little room for the car behind to go.
Been subbed since the original forza horizon, it’s been a long time coming but seeing you lay down clean laps for real gets me hyped. I don’t think games are as good as the real thing but judging by how clean you handle the wheel whilst it spins back and forth as well as the coordination on those hydro-initiations it’s clearly paid off. Keep it sideways bro 🤙🏾
slappy the daddy drifter coming in with some inspiring shit. you have no idea how much you inspire me dude im building a full rig for the VDC comp on assetto climbing up slowly keep it G slap daddy.

Dont forget to unplug the g-sensor under the center armrest. It turns off all the traction control and abs, but throws slot of lights on the instrument cluster. Basically no safety help at all
Being a person that owns a drift g35...just a tip dont use your handbrake to much the car is already so heavy its actually not needed in a heavy car like this...if you notice even your buddy didnt even touch his handbrake and hes not in a heavy car...only use it when you feel you are going to fast into turn or you will just do a huge 360 i see it happen alot...all you need is 2nd and 3rd gear and clutch kicking and you will be fine.
