- Michael Madzo's artwork speaks for itself in luminous hues and vivid, often-times whimsical subjects. His trademark technique of sewing bits of his paintings together attracts attention both for its symbolism and for the rich texture it adds to the works. Madzo's artwork is a synthesis of both traditional and textile art. "It just...happened one day, "he says thoughtfully, "I needed to join two sections together, and had tried everything else. So I thought I'd try sewing." Collage was the result. In assimilating materials at hand, the artist created something new.

Michael Madzo's art is incredible. I have two but wish I had a few more so that I could have a more representative group. I never tire of looking at his work. A very clever and talented artist.

I recently acquired an original Madzo 1984 painting from an uncle who is an art collector.

You're making it because you think it looks cool and it's fun to make - that's it.
+FreedInPieces not necessarily. When you really get invested in a work, or an artistic project, you can discover all sorts of connection between the art and everything. For example, he is saying how these collages are made up of several small pieces which end up creating a larger, coherent image. In the vid he compares this process to the human body. We are all made up of different limbs and pieces, like a collage. And our personality/identity is made up of different emotions, like several pieces. If you listened closely, its not pretentious or "arty farty"
@Sammy K hey, do you know how to get pictures in order to do a collage if you want to sell it. Because his work is so expensive, but I see it rather strange if he uses other people's pictures.
