That opening..... an utter and complete joy to watch!!!!!! I tried to listen to this while I was sewing (doing an 18th century historical recreation) but it drew my attention so much I had to stop and just enjoy the music. *That* is magical. And despite living on the opposite side of the country, I went through the survey and voted Voices of Music for every category for which you were nominated. This ensemble is by far the best Baroque group, best early music group, and one of the best musical groups I have *EVER* had the privilege to hear. Bravo to all involved. I can't wait to see what's next for VoM!!!

Yes there is extraordinary skill here. I also feel strongly that there is energies at play. Alana like a medium can feel Vivaldi's energy, her fellow players energies, and that of the audience. She is clearly entranced by it. At any second it could go wrong, but no it all plays out beautifully. This is an incredible interpretation which sent me to a far distant shore of consciousness, and it was all legal!
Please put full Vivaldi 4 seasons with Cynthia and Alana on CD and for sale. I will be first one to buy. I honestly say that there is no comparable performance and I am really searching. Magnificent !

Greetings from Bruges, where old music has its high days every year in August, you would certainly fit in here :-)
Bella interpretazione molto fedele alla partitura, a differenza di molte altre esecuzioni di ensemble barocche che si prendono troppe liberà stravolgendo la composizione. Le Stagioni di Vivaldi, penso che sia la musica più "violentata" di tutte, purtroppo. L' orchestra la conosciamo ed è sempre perfetta; il violino solista precisissimo e pure lui perfetto.

I think it was really good that they used the baroque era bows and the cellists held the cello with their legs, it was a really nice touch.
