- Mitch Lucker (vocals) and Mark Heylmun (guitar) of SUICIDE SILENCE sat down with BareBonesMusic.com. The guys talk about their record "No Time To Bleed", working with renowned producer Machine and how he expanded their songwriting skills, the dislike of being labeled in the "deathcore" "meatlcore" genre or labeling their music as anything other than heavy metal. They discuss the growth between, their self-titled EP, "The Cleansing" and "No Time To Bleed." Mitch discusses his process of writing lyrics, not focusing solely of negative issues, some of the unusual subjects that he thinks about and how his daughter has changed his life. Mark talks about how bands like LAMB OF GOD, SLIPKNOT, MUDVAYNE, and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY helped pave the way for young bands like SUICIDE SILENCE and the guys also talk about the influx of young kids as fans of heavy music keeping the metal scene fresh and growing. PLUS exclusive live performance footage from the band.

Mark is one of my favorite guitar players, I met him on graspop he is such a awesome guy and a very nice guy I even have a photo with him and myself :). And I totally love his beard, his hear and is sleeve tattoo. :)

the differences of heavy metal and death metal/ core is deathcore has stuff like guttual growls and pig squeels death and heavy dont have that to me heavy metal is way softer most songs ive herd under heavy lack the screaming and monster voice that i like

im still kind of confused because since he did suffer from social anxiety, how come he had the courage to perform in front of thousands screaming? i have social anxiety too and i find it hard to even talk to people becuse i get too nervous.
He was lying bcuz he knew that a lot of little emo kids that think they have social anxiety would relate to him and then buy his music

First time i heard these guys was when they opened up for Mudvayne and BLS. I had never even heard of 'Suicide Silence' before. I just remember this tall pale skinny white kid standing on top of a speaker stack wailing like no one Ive ever heard before. At his best he blew away every deathcore vocalist ever. Dont mourn his passing just because he was young and died tragically...Mourn his passing because he was a father and a talented vocalist. I
