There are five effects, two of which are used at random: the shelves/boxes ("Accio wandbox" or "Wingardium leviosa"), the ladder/drawers ("accio ladder"), the flowers ("Agua menti"), the bell ("Ring it once", no spell named), and the strobes (either "Lumos" or just "give it a wave"). Your "correct" wand is chosen by Celtic calendar dates, usually.
@heyyferr You have to be selected to for the fitting from a room full of people. That's free, but you may have to go thru the line a few times to be selected. Buying the wand ($30) is optional, and you can buy any wand, not necessarily the one that picks you.

If it isn't set up by parents before hand then its free, because by law no company can offer you an item, literally GIVE it to you THEN tell you to pay. That is illegal.

I did this yesterday and got chosen. It was AMAZING! and the best part is I'm almost seventeen. They'll pick anyone, not just little kids. :)
