@@ambybambiboo It's also exactly how he was able to taunt Dillon (Carl Weathers) by playing Mac's (Bill Duke) lines "Over here" and "Anytime", which he recorded during the situation with the scorpion earlier in the film. 24:05 He's not actually laughing, he's just "replaying" (imitates) Billy's previously recorded laugh. Arnold did a great job acting in this film. He plays the macho hero roll very well in the first half but gets frantic as the film progresses. That vulnerability is played extremely well by him. Crazy that Predator didn’t become an Arnie franchise like terminator did.
I loved that they gave his character a chance to show fear because realistically no matter how tough you are, you'd still be terrified in that situation.

"You're hit, man. You're bleedin'." "I ain't got time to bleed." "Oh... okay." Fun Fact: Theatrical film debut of Jesse Ventura and Shane Black. Don't Drink It Fact: The Predator's (Kevin Peter Hall) blood - a goopy substance with the color of Mountain Dew - was made on-set using a mixture of the liquid from inside glow sticks and KY Jelly. Practical Joke Fact: Jesse Ventura was delighted to find out from the wardrobe department that his arms were one inch bigger than Arnold Schwarzenegger's. He suggested to Schwarzenegger that they measure arms, with the winner getting a bottle of champagne. Ventura lost, because Schwarzenegger had told the wardrobe department to tell Ventura that his arms were bigger. You're going to have to get up much earlier in the day to get one over a professional practical joker. Practical Effect Fact: The invisibility cloaking effect was achieved with a bright red suit (because it was the farthest opposite of the green of the jungle and the blue of the sky) the size of the Predator (Kevin Peter Hall). The red was removed with chroma key techniques, leaving an empty area. The take was then repeated without the actors using a 30% wider lens on the camera. When the two takes were combined optically, the jungle from the second take filled in the empty area. Because the second take was filmed with a wider lens, a vague outline of the alien could be seen with the background scenery bending around its shape.
Fun fact: the Predator's iconic clicking sound was done by voice actor Peter Cullen, most famous for being the voice of Optimus Prime in the Transformers franchise
17:30 Exactly! The Yautja(name of the predator species) have very strict laws about killing the unarmed and the pregnant. Breaking these rules results in death or exile from their clan
I think this film is unique. It starts out as a typical 80s war movie and then changes genre and becomes a horrific gore monster film who happens to also be an extraterrestrial! -OG
Predator mimicking and taunting Dutch's men is not only intimidating 😳 but downright scary, too! Especially after the Predator uses Billy's laugh at the end of the film before the Predator nuked himself! -OG
"I swear Arnold was just like have me do things where i can show off my muscles" In the last scene, the original script was to have Arnold beat up the Predator... But Arnold stated "That's stupid, it's a alien killing machine, it should kick my a** "... so the scene was rewritten that Arnold got his a** kicked. Alien 3 is an ok watch if you like the Alien and Aliens film... just be warned... it's a bit depressing.
I love Prey, a very different kind of movie, just fantastically done - and now that you've seen Predator you'll notice all the Easter eggs, there are like a dozen different references and repeats from the original movie. It's the best film of the last several years at least. I hope you post a reaction of it, even if it's a re-watch.
Prey is a disgrace to the original Predator. Such a poor "so-called movie". Little teenage girl learns how to fight and be a bigger hero than Arnie in three days and kills Predator whose mask is horrific, whose introduction is poorly written, and which action sequenceces are ridicoulous....
18:08 "What did he do that for? Was he just sad about his friends? Why'd he kill himself?" He didn't. He knew that the predator was very good at ambushing and killing them without being seen. He couldn't find it to kill it so he decided to make it come to him. He put down his guns, drew his knife, marked himself as a target, and challenged the predator to fight him face to face. It worked. Nobody screamed like that when the predator shot them so it seems the predator accepted the challenge and kill him up close and personal, in a very painful way.
Definitely would recommend Predator 2 for more background of the Predator and where it came from. Aliens vs Predator is a decent watch but a little underwhelming in my opinion.
You've gotta go with Aliens, its often considered one of the few sequels that matches its original (some would say surpasses it in some ways). Its a great film in its own right, and if you liked Ripley in the first one, you'll love her in the second ! Aliens versus Predator was a little underwhelming by comparison, though still watchable.

Arnold usually dominates his foes in his 80s action movies. He was always so much bigger and stronger 💪 than his villains. There was never much doubt who would win. But Predator was the only film that I legitimately questioned if he'd make it out alive. Largely due to 7' 3" tall Kevin Peter Hall for being larger than life as the Predator!! This movie was captivating for this reason alone. Fun fact. Kevin Peter Hall also played Bigfoot in Harry and the Henderson's. 😁 -OG
You've got to check out Predator 2. It can't top the original film, but it's a really solid underrated sequel. Non-stop action, cool new Predator weapons and world-building, and the cast is great (Glover, Busey, Paxton). "You can't see the eyes of the demon until him come callin'." Side recommendation for 'Conan the Barbarian', Arnold's first really big hit before 'Terminator'. What a freaking movie. The film itself is great, but the Basil Poledouris soundtrack is a masterpiece. One of those movies where you know it's something special right from the opening credits.
That "weird sound" the predator makes is actually its mandibles vibrating against each other. You can see it after Dutch first punches him in the face and the Predator slowly turns to face him.
if you're not familiar with the rules pertaining to duels then Billy's last moments can be confusing. when fighting a duel, if you cut your opponent, that's call drawing first blood and you can offer your opponent mercy which is called "giving quarter". When Billy cuts himself, he's denying the predator first blood. he was basically saying that this is to the death.
The Predator played each member with just enough to taunt them into the chase. Billy knew he was going to die. He chose to determine his own path. He cut himself to deny the Predator first blood.
I'm glad they don't reveal too much about the Predator in this film. They say less is more. The less we know about a creature, the scarier he becomes. But it's also twofold. Because we know so little, we can't help but be intrigued to learn more. WHAT makes the Predator tick? Which is likely why this film has become such a cult classic. What makes Aliens versus Predators interesting as a concept is how they both function. Predators plan their Hunts carefully. They know what they're going after and plan accordingly. They don't use the same tactics against Aliens that they do against humans. That doesn't mean they always win, of course. They don't want to win easily; it's not worth it, then. So they handicap themselves, and in so doing provide opportunity for a species like the Aliens to overwhelm them. The Aliens weakness is being unintelligent; they can be herded if you know what they want. The problem is that control shatters the moment you give them an inch. That's what makes the fight between the two species interesting. Neither side always or never wins; it always comes down to the specific fight in question. That said, the movie _Aliens vs Predator_ isn't worth watching. Myself, I stick to only the first two Predator movies and the first two Alien movies. The others of both franchises just get weird and, I'd argue, just plain stupid. If you want a _good_ AvP story, check out the novel _Aliens vs. Predator: Prey_ by Stephen and Stephanie Perry.
@@ambybambiboo I completely agree. Done right, it _could_ have been awesome--and the novel _Aliens vs. Predator: Prey_ does it as close to "right" as I've ever seen. The movie copped some elements from the story, and I think for good reason. It's a good narrative.
Xenomorph are complex. Originally they came from the deranged necro-world of H.R. Giger. They are originally necro creatures. They are called bio-mechanoids (a bio-form mixed with a machine). They can withstand extreme cold as well as hellish heat. They adapt to a hostile environment. They are also extremely hardy without water, without food because they don't need them, they also can live in deep space because they have no respiratory system. In a straight fight, they win 100% because they are heavily armored, naturally armed with tail knives, claws, deadly jaws, and use massive amounts of brute force. It is also better that you are further away from them when they release this concentrated acid that acts as blood for them. However, in most cases, Predator wins because of his long-range weapons, which allow him to deliver lethal blows from a long distance. But it still depends on what type of Xenomorph the Predator is up against. There are different types. If Xenomorph is a drone type (like those from Aliens 2) then Predator will win 100% even in close combat because drones are not strong individually. They are dangerous mainly in large groups. Well, of course against humans drones are deadly. But if the Predator is faced against Xenomorph type Praetorian then the Predator will have to use a lot of tactical power to deal with this situation. Praetorians are extremely heavily armored and deal massive damage. There is even a game that simulates these combat units very well. In close combat, a Praetorian rips through a Predator almost as easily as he rips through a human. Predator 1 is a unique film. I fell in love with it since I watched it for the very first time when I was 9 years old. But when I watched Aliens 2 when I was 11 I knew the Xenomorph was my creature. I was the only one in the whole family who likes Xenomorph. Everyone else found him repulsive and horrible hahaha. It was fun for me to watch their reactions of disgust hahaha. Good reaction. But in this case, I liked your comments more. They were interesting for me to hear.👽
Great reaction again! - the week I showed my son this movie we kept seeing all the memes and references. 🤣 Apparently Arnold kept working out during filming and things got so competitive with him and Carl Weathers that the director had to ask them to tone it down. Speaking of the director, John McTiernan I recommend reacting to The 13th Warrior - highly underrated and hardly anyone reacts to it. Also react to Aliens for sure. 👍
I would recommend Alien vs Predator! It is an awesome movie, one of my favorites. You might wanna watch Aliens first though. At the the end of Predator 2 there is a scene that lets you know that the Aliens and Predator are from the same universe. I've read some of the comments saying that Alien vs Predator isn't very good but I think its awesome, so I think you should watch it.
My favorite movie of all time if you enjoyed this one I highly recommend PREY it's a prequel to the first Predator movie and is streaming now you have to see it granted you won't be disappointed
@@ambybambiboo But in his defense, a lot of people liked it when he did that in the movies. I was a young boy when his movies came out where he did his gratuitous poses, and I was like, "Goals!". There was no World Wide Web back then, so boys who were into bodybuilding would have to buy books to see what they wanted to look like (I never did look like an Arnold, but I tried for a while). Many women liked him doing it too. Possibly because, again, no WWW, so where else are they going to see muscly men? So Arnold's posing is unneeded, but probably didn't hurt the boxoffice draw back then.
Haha, mussels and oysters. Yeah, he's been getting up at 6am on 6hrs sleep and hitting heavy weights first thing in the morning his whole life too. Strong genes apart from his bad heart (multiple life saving surgeries). I'd just be so tired and worn out all day doing that, but it's how Arnold got a body so huge even before he started topping it up with the steroids.
This was great! Loved seeing your reaction when you recognized things in the film. Alien vs Predator is fun. It's not a good film by any means, though it's not terrible or anything. Anyone who is a fan of either or both franchises should check it out just to see the two of them on screen together. I definitely want to see you react to Aliens as well. It's different in tone than the original, but an excellent sequel.
Definitely "Aliens" A v P isn't as good but OK But I think better doing "Master & Commander (the far side of the globe)" - Russel Crowe Or "The Last Samurai" Tom Cruise Or "Zulu" Michael Caine
I love when women watch Predator. You put in effort to interpret it. Me and every other man in the world just get high on it and turn into grinning, fist-pumping monkeys.
Do love the reactions, hope you're feeling better (: Also, it may be weird(?) But, it's cool to see someone the same age as me. I feel like all the people I follow on UA-cam are either much younger or much older than me. Gives me a little hope that maybe I can move my Facebook movie page to make a movie channel on UA-cam some time. [= Stay awesome
Time to be in movies for the amount of time to get arms 💪 that big? Simply put, Arnold was body building LONG before he started his acting career. His arms are rather small in this film compared to his prime in bodybuilding. Arnold is a 7-time Mr. Olympia 🏆 champion in bodybuilding. He retired from the sport and went into acting. -OG
Aliens definitely. Aliens vs Predator? Well it's watchable but it had a lot's of criticism. Tbh Predator 2 is not bad either. But definitely avoid: Alien vs Predator: Requiem and The Predator: 2018...
Definitely watch Aliens! Aliens Vs Predator was kind of a disappointment. Some cool scenes here and there, but could have been waaaay better imo. I don't think anyone would complain if you did a reaction video to it. Predator 2 is cheesy, but expands on the lore. The ending is cool.
I would love to see you do a reaction to the (1979) movie The Jerk starring Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters so please comment on how dirty Navin is when both his family and Marie find him please
You should 100% watch Aliens. If you do desire to watch Alien v Predator 2004, you should know that there are 2 of them. The sequel, Requiem, takes part directly after the events of the first one wasting no time at all. But before you get to the versus movies, I'd highly recommend Predator 2. Prey is also a Predator film. But it's a prequel with a 1700s setting that ties into Predator 2. Then there's the 2010 Predators movie. The movie that was originally intended for a Predator 2 but couldn't do it back then because they didn't have the effects or budget to pull it off. I would avoid The Predator, directed by Shane Black. It was an 😖 awful film. Very cringe plot. Most Predator fans seem to disown this one. -OG
Watch Predator 2 before goin into Aliens vs. Predator it shows the connection to the Alien universe and also has a connection to Prey. Don't bother watching Aliens vs Predator 2 absolutely shitty movie and you get all the information you need to know from the first movie.
The first Alien vs Predator movie is definitely worth watching, but I can only warn you about the sequel, it's absolute garbage and most of the movie is just dark, I have to at least warn every reactor for conscience sake about this imposition before he decides if he wants to do something like that to himself.

Excellent reaction to one of my favorite movies. Hope you´re gonna do some more Predator stuff in the future. But yeah, Aliens is on another level🙂
Definitely gonna check out Predator 2
18:31 the laugh was Priceless lol
25:17. The predators created the aliens, specifically to hunt them. They win on occasion; not always.
As a Brit, your accent is absolutely heavenly to me.
Well, thank you! I always worry it makes me sound dumb 😂
Definitely not, it's like a dream to my ears!@@ambybambiboo
15:45 😂 My new favourite insult!
Thanks for the great reaction, Amber :)
I give word salad insults when I get scared 😂
it was using billy's laugh at the end there
That's even creepier
Great reaction again! - the week I showed my son this movie we kept seeing all the memes and references. 🤣 Apparently Arnold kept working out during filming and things got so competitive with him and Carl Weathers that the director had to ask them to tone it down. Speaking of the director, John McTiernan I recommend reacting to The 13th Warrior - highly underrated and hardly anyone reacts to it. Also react to Aliens for sure. 👍
It does not surprise me that he'd be working out in between scenes 😂 I'll be uploading Aliens next week!
Arnie fan 😍❤️💯
Great reaction.
Stick with PREDATOR franchise.
Great video, keep it up 👍
Thanks. I plan on watching Predator 2.
It's me back 8 months later to say you gotta see PREY!
I will be watching Aliens next week!
My favorite movie of all time if you enjoyed this one I highly recommend PREY it's a prequel to the first Predator movie and is streaming now you have to see it granted you won't be disappointed
14:05 Isn't that obvious? It hunts for trophies - just like many humans do.
This was the best of all the predator movies.
20:10 You've heard of gratuitous sex and violence: Arnold does gratuitous posing.
He really does 😂
@@ambybambiboo But in his defense, a lot of people liked it when he did that in the movies.
Arnold is a bodybuilder turned actor. So his whole life getting those mussels
To get your answers about the Predator you should watch both of the second Predator and second Aliens movies and then the first Alien vs Predator
I'll be watching Aliens next week. I'm gonna have to give Predator 2 a go too.
If you can find it, it's much better to read the comic book miniseries from Dark Horse.
I'm gonna watch Aliens next week. Everyone seems to love it.
@@ambybambiboo Excellent! Can't wait to see the reaction!
Earned a sub after that reaction at 15:48. 🤣
I appreciate it 😂
Definitely "Aliens"
A v P isn't as good but OK
But I think better doing
"Master & Commander (the far side of the globe)" -
Russel Crowe
Or
"The Last Samurai" Tom Cruise
Or
"Zulu" Michael Caine
It's not a laser gun that the Predator used. It's called a plasma caster gun
Some civilization just dumped it on earth to get rid of it.
Freaking love this movie! Great reaction thanks so much🙂😎
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
This is hands down better than Aliens IMO
Predator 2 is worth a watch IMO, Danny Glover is great in it and it has some iconic scenes and is a bit under-appreciated I think.
I love when women watch Predator. You put in effort to interpret it. Me and every other man in the world just get high on it and turn into grinning, fist-pumping monkeys.
😂
Do Part 2!
Definitely!
Great movie.
Do love the reactions, hope you're feeling better (:
Also, it may be weird(?) But, it's cool to see someone the same age as me. I feel like all the people I follow on UA-cam are either much younger or much older than me. Gives me a little hope that maybe I can move my Facebook movie page to make a movie channel on UA-cam some time. [=
Stay awesome
I am feeling much better, thank you. And that's not weird. And I say do it! It's corny but life is too short to not go for something you want.
First predator 2 then alien vs predator
See Aliens first then watch A v P 👍😂🤣🏴
Watching Aliens next week 🙂
predator 2 is good too.
Just because you don't look scared doesn't mean you are not. I got shot at a lot I'm Iraq and I was plenty scared. I just sounded calm.
-OG
Predator is the most manliest man movie made by man.
If you cut the film open, it's just testosterone.
One on one a xenomorph doesn't stand a chance against a Predator. If you decide to watch the AvP series you'll see why.
Aliens definitely.
Aliens vs Predator? Well it's watchable but it had a lot's of criticism.
Tbh Predator 2 is not bad either.
But definitely avoid: Alien vs Predator: Requiem and The Predator: 2018...
I'd recommend watching Predator 2 and Predators, and skipping the A vs P stuff
Definitely watch Aliens! Aliens Vs Predator was kind of a disappointment. Some cool scenes here and there, but could have been waaaay better imo. I don't think anyone would complain if you did a reaction video to it. Predator 2 is cheesy, but expands on the lore. The ending is cool.
Everyone is hyping Aliens up so I'm excited to see it.
@ambybambiboo please watch the special edition of Aliens. It is 12 minutes longer but adds more to the plot.
Biceps - The Movie. It's awesome! :)
Great movie
I would love to see you do a reaction to the (1979) movie The Jerk starring Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters so please comment on how dirty Navin is when both his family and Marie find him please
I'll have to look into it!
I love your shirt
Thanks! I knew I had to have it when I saw it 😂
You should 100% watch Aliens.
-OG
I'm watching Aliens next week. Everyone has had nothing but great things to say about it.
Greetings from Finland girl!!! Have you seen any Terminator movies??? If not you should check out at least first two of them!!! "i'll be back" 😎
I've seen bits and pieces but I've never sat down and watched a full movie
@@ambybambibooHellou again from the north of Europe 😂 then you should definitely check those out!!! "I'll be back" 😎
Watch Predator 2 before goin into Aliens vs. Predator it shows the connection to the Alien universe and also has a connection to Prey. Don't bother watching Aliens vs Predator 2 absolutely shitty movie and you get all the information you need to know from the first movie.
Ты такая красивая!❤️😍
Thank you 😊
👍
Please watch Alien and Aliens(part 2) than predator 2, and finally Aliens vs Predator.
I've watched Alien. I will be watching Aliens next week!
Try watching Predator V Mr Pastry.
What? 😂
The first Alien vs Predator movie is definitely worth watching, but I can only warn you about the sequel, it's absolute garbage and most of the movie is just dark, I have to at least warn every reactor for conscience sake about this imposition before he decides if he wants to do something like that to himself.
Watch Conan next.
