I was given another battery because the seller said it had a battery on its way out but I thought I would see about fixing it first, then swap in other one and if it is in good shape I'll just sell the one I fixed or keep it for its good blades since it does have high mileage
I just had my hybrid batter triangle of death appear as well as the check engine light and the check hybrid system message. This occurred as I was accelerating hard (something I rarely do in my Prius) while entering a freeway. Power was lost immediately and I had to coast to a stop and restart the car. The car restarted and was driveable but all the warning lights/messages remained on. Once I got home, I ran the Dr. Prius app and it appeared that blade #6 was way down compared to all the others. Also, blade #6 wasn't fluctuating like all the others. However, the voltage difference only measured 0.13 v. In other words, all the blades were running over 16 volts, but blade #6 was around 15.96 v. Furthermore, all blades measured 27 milli-ohms except #10, which measured 26 milli-ohms. I also noticed that blade #1 was a darker green than all the rest and appeared to not be fluctuating. However, it was measuring strong at 16.09 v. I next measured my 12 volt battery and it checked out as healthy. I haven't yet run the discharge test, but can you tell me if blade #6, #10, or #1 is likely bad?
I have an app suggestion. Have the amperage change red or green depending on whether it's negative or positive. It's hard to tell when you're driving and dangerous to squint and look close so having it change color would be really awesome!
Jack I am looking at picking up a "lightly used" nexcell v2.6 to swap out my 150k original because of p3011. It's always the #1 that has high voltage on charge and low voltage on discharge (also highest IR). The pack will stay 102-108F after shutoff (I assume due to self-discharge). I have paid much attention with your app, and I would like to make sure that you will carry v2.6 blades in case of a problem in the future. Will you be carrying these in stock for replacement? Thanks. *(mostly original pack, I replaced the buss-bars and orange wiring harness as well as a couple of blades ~2 years ago)

When I started the life expectancy was 30 % the triangle every now and then trow a code with Dr pruis app I resetted the code and kept on driving. I got 13 cell from ebay and I said I did a reconditioning so just now I did a expectancy test y it came out 97% life and it tell me that that battery is new condition but I'm getting the triangle and I can not resetted it won go away. Don't know if is a error from the app or a different phone. The car is running hybrid normal. I left the battery for 48 hour balancing but when I was taking cables off. Some of they shorted for some second negative to positive and they sparked a little bit. Do you think that was enough to unbalance the battery or what can you please 🙏 tell me about what might be going on. i coudnt connect the dr prius app on my camry but i tried another app and it shows these values: the aux battery as -24v and "charg ctrl -24kW" and "delta SOC: 0.0 "and another interesting line is "battery block number with max voltage: latest value =1 (bounces between 1 and 17) and "battery block number min voltage :latest value= 10 (steady)" and im getting common error code p0a80, it is it 12v battery ?
I get this software and try to get an estinate of how long my battery is going to last and the only thing I get my vehicle no accelerate no more, any hint

Hi good day, 1-3 problems that doesn't works 100% , I got everything as mentioned on your videos in doing a test and what you should need but When you go do a battery test am seeing low battery and needs to be replaced but it doesn't pick it up, When doing a battery test on same vehicle it delays so my drive does be 2-4 miles then I would get reading, Last would be when I scan the vehicle it says bank 6 when the customer arrived I took it out so the customer would see when I started the test it says battery good so there are some issues with the app and needs corrected I have the paided (34us) version (prus c) apart for that great app and east to use...quick question what is the lowest voltage on one module that the app would recognize as bad (20 module in my pack)
Hi Randy, these procedures are mainly for the Nexcell lithium upgrade battery, for NiMH the lowest voltage will be 14v, Dr. Prius App will show red bar below 14v.
@@hybridapp7158 thanks for your response, so am back into doing my manual testing till this app is correct and issues is being fix for users like myself, i have did my own testing on the app and the voltage on 1 module is off by (.61) so that mean it is off by (1.22 volts per bank) that is a very high difference, just something I should mention to you in your next UPDATES, am a subscriber and I enjoy all of your videos and how you explained it easy to understand...

FYI if you keep resetting and it keeps showing the triangle of death be careful cause the batteries can pop and it sounds like a gun shot
I have a 2008 Prius with no codes but the battery is almost always at 1-2 purple bars unless I’m on flat ground going slow. Any ideas?
If my 12-volt battery is reading 11.7 Volts at rest, is this a dead give away that the problem is the battery? Will it need replacing?

Hi this test method is valid to lithium upgrade battery and the oem nickel metal?
This is only for lithium battery, NiMH won't show much of difference even at low state of charge. FYI.
