You should check out vids of Lille Gruber from Defeated Sanity! Absolutely mind-blowing playing. He’s helping to push the metal genre forward in some really unique ways.

I was about to say that Spencer uses the swivel technique, but the video showed you it wasn't heel toe right as I was typing this. This is my first time on your channel and I'm immediately a fan. Great analysis and commentary man. Especially the bit about how having high cymbals commands a presence on stage and the awesome MM photo as an example. Guitar has always been my soul but my intuitive playing loves playing complex rhythm sections. Because of this every drummer I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing in a band and I would work closely together and grew many additional appreciations for drummers and drum tracks in the process. YOU SIR ARE A CHAMPION AMONGST MORTAL MAN AND MAY YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL REST OF YOUR WEEK. I dearly hope to see more TechDEATH drummers showcased in the future and have many a suggestion in that way. ALSO SPENCER MOORE AND INFERI ARE FUCKING PARAGONS AMONGST GODS YEEESSHH….I can’t get the first leading guitar melodies that start the song “Destroyer” and how the rest of the band decided to follow suit…I’ve never been the same
Hey HUGE thanks for this comment! And i welcome you as a fellow comrade in our musical journeys. To be honest I've always been fascinated by how guitar players know where to place their fingers for notes, and how they have to have music theory and things like the Circle of Fifths memorized haha. But truthfully drumming and playing beats and rhythms is super enjoyable to me, and metal is so physically satisfying i cant resist its energy. As far as Inferi goes, im absolutely intrigued by this band and they are going to be a case study of mine for sure lol.
