i have a chronarch MGL and curado DC, honestly i love both and you are going to be very happy with both. lures under 10g are better on the MGL and 20-30g is awesome one the DC, i fish a lot of trout from the shore and i use my DC for that even though i know my MGL cast further i just like that fact that the DC chip almost eliminates backlashed when chucking dem lures out and it really helps here in windy SWEDEN
how is the metanium dc holding up ? is it less smooth than when you purchased it? i imagine with the aluminum gears it has that you are already starting to notice a more geary feeling
@@KeepFishingForward thinking of getting metanium dc or the antares A i can get them for the same price. I know antares has better components but its just the weight that bothers me
If you bought a DC reel for light lures you can lose unfortunately. I sell gear for a living and its the most returned reel. Spool weighs a ridiculous 21 grams. There's just too much inertia.
Keep Fishing Forward hey how do we know what year the Metanium DC are? I just bought one and I have no idea what year it was made. I’m very curious. I’m new to Matenium by the way. The one I have is the Matenium DC XG left hand 8.5.1
DCs spools are way too heavy. The old ones used to cast really well. Not these. Where I work I've had to refund 3 because my customers couldn't cast the 10 gram lures we commonly use around here. So be warned.
Yeah brother. Great vid. I have the MGL and by far it is my favorite reel from my arsenal.
Just got Metanuim DC and love it smooth, casting distance, I like auto set. I'm thinking of getting Metanuim MGL and Tranx 301 next 😎
I have a bantam mgl and i love it
Super sick! Shimano all the way!
Wonder why UA-cam deleted it? I gotta get me a new reel asap.
@@KeepFishingForward gotcha, yeah that makes sense.

0:08 what is that song
I personally have a dc , I enjoy it but damn MGL casting distance is what I’m going to invest my money into
Either one would be a winner. Great video like always.
Exactly the video I was looking for thank you
The noise is so disturbing I'd never ever get one after I tested a dc brake reel ! Mgl looks really good btw
I don't even hear mine anymore. But I know everyone else does around me and know it's a DC
Seen this vid last year! Dope edits

@@KeepFishingForward i think im just going to wait for the new 2020 metanium mgl to come to my local stores
wowww.. bro.. i love shimano dc all type... very smooth.... cornfirm
Mgl version risky to play at salt water dude?
yes it is.. don't risk it.
@@KeepFishingForward thanks
Is there really a winner? I mean different anglers might prefer their reels on different settings. You cant lose with any shimano reel honestly

Are these two shimano reels the 2020 version?
Nope. 2019
