- Choru - A Novel Preparation
Ingredients
1. Raw rice/ Kolam rice/ Sona Masoori / Biriyani rice - 1 cup
2. Water - 2 to 2 ¼ cup
3. Salt - ½ tsp
4. Ghee - 1 tbsp
Preparation
1. Wash the rice well in 4 to 5 changes of water & decant.
2. Add the given measurement of water to a pressure cooker add the ghee & salt, set aside to 20 to 30 minutes.
3. Pressure cook up to 2 whistles, put off the flame & keep.
4. Remove the weight only when needed to serve. Serve hot.

Plz drain the soaked water, during the soaking rice expels arsenic and some toxic materials absorbed from the farm and warehouse..
If the rice is organic, yes u can use the soak water it give spl aroma for the rice ..
As a batchlor me following the same method since many years...it tsave time and gas ..thanks Madam for sharing useful information 👍
