Hi Kane. The AltGroup parameter setting is automatically stored when a patch is stored, so it should work (it works on mine, I use it ALL the time). So I'm afraid I'm not sure. @@edruminfo oops it works this time. Maybe i confused simething. But i have new questionTT. On dtx m12 touch app, i changed norm stick vel into hand vel. And then i disconnect my ipad, when i powerd it off n on again, it worked with norm stic vel againTT. How can i store that with my own velocity(hand)? N anyway thx for ur answer n kindness.
@@y11isl The M12 has 15 trigger patch - 5 are preset (P01 - P05) and 10 are user (U01 -U10). You would have saved your trigger settings to one of the User Presets. So all you need to do is go into the Trigger settings and choose the one you saved - it will all be there, you just need to find it. However, if you ALWAYS want it to start on one particular trigger patch, go to Utility 1-5 and choose the trigger patch that the M12 will select when it powers up.
Hi Simon, I was wondering if it is possible to use a pad function to change between stack and alternate mode. Then one could set up a chord as the 4 layers of a pad and have them play in alternate mode, but when a footswitch is pressed, it plays in stack mode. One way to do it is to have two dedicated user kits (one in stack, one in alternate) and have the pad function of the foot switch on inc kitNo. However, then notes are faded out when switching between kits (can this be avoided?). Would it be possible to achieve what I want in a single user kit (maybe using the MIDI Control Change messages or some other setting?)
Hi. How many chords do you need? The easiest way would be to have 6 pads with the chords alternated, and 6 pads with the same pads stacked. You cant change the stack to alt with the foot pedal - that functionality isn't built in. You can change the fade when the patches are changed. But with the external pads, you have 19 inputs (input 13 having 3 zones) so if you split them, 9 stacked chords and 9 alternated chords at the same time is quite a bit, plus you'd have one pad left over for something else.
I have Layerd two tones in stack but when i conected to a midi control and trying with the midi instrument ( Alesis Pad pro) it plays only one tone Layer A only is there any way i can play the entire Voice Layer ABCD assigned to the pad Number Thanks in advance 🙏
Hi, not using the Alesis SamplePadPro as it only generates one midi note per pad. The M12 is able to generate 4 midi notes per pad and each layer has its own midi notes assigned - thats why it is only triggering one. Your options are to use the M12, or sample the output of the M12 and load it back into the M12 as a sample which will trigger from one midi note (as it is one sound, not two). Personally I'd just use the M12 - its a much more capable beast.

My initial pad was Alesis later i upgarded to M12 so i planned using Alesis as a midi controller as the stick responce is Better in Alesis while playing some indian percussion. Your Solution is perfect for me. I while take out the pad tone as WAV format then i can reassign as a single tone 🙏👍❤️
If you cannot turn the kick up any more, the simplest thing is to turn everything else down. You could use the compressor to boost the kick volume if you are not using the FX on anything else, or pick a fatter kick sound, OR layer the kick with another one (you can layer up to 4 sounds on every pad) to make it bigger or cut more.

Just checked and there appears to be an issue with the latest iOS 15.4.1. My iPad won't connect either. Rec'n'share is running fine on other devices, but its just M12 Touch App. I get in touch with Japan. You havent lost the ability to do anything - everything you can do on the app you can do directly in the module, so for the moment, best to sit down with the M12 and learn where everything is. Looks like its an Apple issue.
@@edruminfo btw. I love your vids. I also have an EAD10. Love it too…use it for playing live. Run it the Dtx and everything else thru a pers mixer so I can use inears and run just 1 xlr to the main board. So much easier. Thx for everything
